40K SHADOW WAR ARMAGEDDON GENERAL TACO

Just keep posting edition.

Remember when Orks had bolters and Eldar had lasguns?

Need links.

Regarding that image, I heard rumours that Specialist Games talked about Necromunda in the last White Dwarf. Anybody know anything about that?

Syndicate List

What else would they talk about? It is the only thing they have going for them.

Mini Posters

Making Autopistols out of Evergreen.

Are other specialist games coming back? What about epic/warmaster or BFG?

NU ORK possibly a better system than Necromunda and Inquisimunda. Almost too freeform and very Orky. I wish there were a balancing system to plug a lot of these features into a chosen setting.

>What about epic/warmaster or BFG?
Hell they could just do reprints and make a load of cash on this shit.

Blood Donors Vehicle rules take the best parts of Ash Wastes and Gorkamorka and mix them together. This fits all your skirmish vehicle needs and really lets you build what ever kind of custom cart or buggy you want. Though it is indeed lacking in rules for carts and chariots (JK).

I guess I can dump what I've got too.

Shotgun from a bolter.

Miniature scale barbed wire.

The first Genestealers rules. Very clunky but they introduced an important aspect of the cult; Secrecy Rules. If this kind of secret cover could be expanded to many kinds of Gangs and Warbands it would add an amazing role playing dimension to the skirmish campaign system.

One of the best parts of Necromunda was running your Gang as a secret Genestealer Cult. It was almost a given that half the Delque Gangs you were playing were secretly Genestealer Cults.

Autogun from a bolter.

Oh that's sweet as hell. You can never have enough shotguns in Skirmish gaming.

Ok, but that looks like it's more work than it's worth. Especially with cultists so cheap.

Posters.

Kalash-autogun.

I'm guessing it's pretty old. But if you want simple autoguns, there's this.

These Chaos Cult rules are always so crazy. They are more built around Redemptionist models than anything else. No secrecy and very ostentatious. It would be cool if you could maintain a cover for a while before you started dancing around in a man thong worshiping the dark powers.

Some more propaganda posters

Propaganda and recruitment posters. I have a LOT of these.

...Like this one I grabbed from Yaktribe. More posters.

Hope the Mods post the Armageddon links soon.

The Space Pigs are going to get you.

The only way I figure you can really punish a Outlaw that has gotten out of hand. I'm looking at you Scavvies.

Different landscapes for Skirmishing.

Overwatch.

So now that we know 100% that SWA and Necromunda are clone systems we can begin to use material from both systems interchangeably and learn from the large body of community built expansions like Inquisimunda and Ash Wastes.

This pretty opens up the whole 40K galaxy to skirmish gaming and allows for competitive campaigning with players everywhere for a marginal entry cost.

Further, by putting irregular humans in this combat system and linking it to the elite forces of the 40K galaxy it has provided a plausible baseline for the entire rules body. This combat system now becomes an actual tactical representation of the technology and methods of the 40K setting. It goes a long way to suspending disbelief and credibly acknowledges that gaming outcomes are built on player decisions and not broken rules sets or troop types.

In other words, if you lose it's your own damn fault. Your victories will be built on the decisions you make on the gaming table not in the broken lists you build or the elite troop types you buy.

I know this is going to be difficult for a lot of 40k players to deal with.

I have an old SM model with a shuriken pistol. Everyhing just seemed more fun in 3rd ed.

Are they bringing back regular gangs? And are CSM any good in shadow war?

Witch hunters say hello.

I lost two battles to them. The CSM player went straight Marines. The First battle he didn't even arm bolt pistols. He went all in Khoren.

(Pic Related) We got a good laugh at him when he refused to go up the ladder and face a Dire Avenger on overwatch. It was a sad day for the Blood God.

There is a shitty list for gangs in SWA. But you're better off just playing the Gangs as a normal Necromunda gang and using the Business As Usual Rules. The only difference is the Necromunda gangs don't get Giant Killer Bonus and Underdog Bonus.

Nice ladies.

2nd ed bro.

...

that terrain looks a bit depressing

How much scatter terrain do you guys like? I know having big multi-level stuff is important, but what about the smaller set dressing? pic related, some that I whipped up a while ago.

I dig it I love budget terrain.

TOILET TERRAIN! The best shit, the cheapest prices.

It took me about ten bucks and two hours to throw it all together. I got enough pieces to run two games at once. It's not pretty but it really gets the job done for hive warfare.

Thanks, It's nice to be appreciated by the Beer and Pretzels gammer.

I am in need of some handrails and other assorted cover. that kind of stuff can really make a battle.

The house rule for me is if someone is an inch from an edge they don't need to roll a falling check if their is a railing on the edge.

Nice long rifle by the way.

From what I understand, Shadow War Armageddon uses 40k models for smaller skirmish type gameplay correct? Are the basic rules available for free or is there a mega or something? I'd love to get some of my cheaper friend into some kind of war game

I remember seeing this picture lot of time here. Didn't people already told you that you need some railling/pop-up cover. See pic.

Were you there for the apoc game sendoff for 7th ed a couple months ago?

>dat girl on the left

>outhouse
???

Bumping with some of my genestealer cultists. Honestly I haven't played many games at all but I love the excuse it gives me to put an inordinate amount of attention into converting/painting small bands of guys.

Holy fuck this is awesome. I'm going to print these out and decorate the work terrain

CSM are decent in my experience. Power armor + Cultist bullet sponges aren't bad, and the Autocannon is a nasty weapon if you get your hands on it. They aren't quite as out there in terms of power level as the Tyranids and the Harlequins, but they also don't suffer from having one casualty cripple the warband.
Remembering that it's okay to run away and preserve your strength rather than fight to the death all the time is important for all gangs.
As far as gangs go, some people like to use the old Necromunda rules, and there's a custom list that tries to convert gangs directly to Shadow War. I just use the Genestealer Cult rules, I feel like they've got about the right flavor. They're not as skilled as the pros, but they've got quick reactions from their violent lifestyles, and knowing the underhive means they can sneak around in it more easily. I was thinking of basically using the Purestrain operatives as mutants they've befriended who occasionally come to help the gang out.
I've also heard of people using Inquisition rules, but they seem a little too skilled to me. I'd just talk to your group about how you want to represent gangers in SW:A.
Awesome!
These guys are wonderfully gross. Are they based on plastic ghouls?
