This is Nahiri, she ruined Innistrad

This is Nahiri, she ruined Innistrad
Say something nice about her

I like how her simply existing is enough to hurt WotC.

Sorin deserved what he got. Time and time again, he made the situation worse (both with Nahiri and with Nissa) because he was physically incapable of not being an asshole to people.

If Sorin wasn't such a dumb motherfucker, the Eldrazi would still be sealed.

Eh, i'd still fuck her

Haven't you heard to never stick your dick in crazy?

I've seen one good porn pic of her.

Her reaction to the situation she found herself in was entirely understandable, and in all honesty?

Sorin had it coming.

Tpbp

That's the nicest thing we can say about Nahiri

She's real fun to play with in Modern and using het to summon Emrakul is a cool flavourwin

Sorin refusing to apologize and explain himself was a mistake.
Nahiri deciding to attack Sorin was worse.
Sorin refusing to deescalate the situation was even worse than that.
Nahiri playing out her grudge against Sorin by ruining the lives of innocent people on Innistrad was worst of all.

Both of them were shit.

>He was rude
>She committed genocide

>They are both equally bad :^)

You'll notice I said Nahiri's actions were worst of the two.

Didnt sorin imprison her for like 6000 years or something?

I've said it before, I'll say it again - piss off Sorin, and he will come after you with utter precision and end you, personally. Notice how his original card's -3 interacts perfectly with Sorin's Vengeance, and notice how Sorin's Vengeance costs only 1 more than Sorin Markov himself. Indeed, everything about Sorin's card involves specific targeting, be it a creature or a player.

Now look at Nahiri. Notice how her very first ability involves discarding a card from your hand - in Magic terms, synonymous with losing your mind. Notice how her second ability can only target the field, not your opponent - not the thing you actually have to destroy to win a game of magic. Then notice how Nahiri's ultimate STILL doesn't involve you directly targeting the opponent. It doesn't even involve her doing it. It involves getting something else to do her own dirty work.

Now look at Nahiri's Wrath. It can be played before she can be (2R as opposed to 2RW) - that is, she has already decided to act before she's even shown up to assess the situation. Look at its additional cost: discard cards. Drive yourself insane.

And its effect? Damage to creatures and planeswalkers. Not your opponent. Not you real target. Nahiri's Wrath is all about Nahiri going insane in order to lash out at everything around her foe, rather than her foe himself.

Nahiri is a rabid animal. She needs to be put down. I'd argue that even after Nicol Bolas' actions in Amonkhet, Nahiri is STILL the single greatest threat to the Multiverse. Bolas has sme plan, and things that are not part of the plan are safe. Nahiri just madly strikes at anything that earns her ire. She's an utter psychopath.

No, i've heard to tie crazy down, have your fun, and leave.

Walkers are shit and you have autism.

I have no idea what Innistrad is, so I couldn't care less

You're game is garbage, and you're waifu a shit.

lol no u

She is a white lady with the features of a black lady.

well Sorin shouldn't have thrown her in a sensory deprivation chamber for a thousand years.

and she isn't a threat to anywhere or anyone but Sorin and the things Sorin claims for his own, she's an oldwalker, none of them give a fuck about people's lives, Sorin included.

in her mind, EMrakul was going to tear up SOMEWHERE, and it would have, so it tearing up Innistrad is simply the best outcome, especially since Sorin is one of the main reasons Emrakul and Co. are loose anyways.

Nahiri shows what intense, world shattering rage will get you, when you fuck someone so hard that they will do absolutely anything to ruin you, and everything you love (she isn't mad at all, as by all the story's she's in, she's just incredibly angry)

“Buy the ticket, take the ride...” - Hunter S Thompson

Sorin should have tried to explain but nahiri shouldn't have thrown her autistic fit that landed her in jail
Keep in mind she is an old walker
1000 years in demon jail should be nothing for them

It would've made for an interesting story if being thrown in gay baby jail had kept her Spark from being affected by the Mending.

except it is something, and would be something to anyone, even Demon's were driven mad by the Helvault, as its more than just sensory deprivation.

she came out of the Helvault better than most, but still damaged by it.

what sent her over the edge is going to Zendikar.. and seeing Ulamog thrash up the place, poor timing, as if she waited a week or so, 2 of the titans would be dead, but she was told, and fully believed, that the Eldrazi Titan's were unbeatable.

so this enormous betrayal and shock broke her and she swore to do any thing to get Sorin back.

to those saying its "petty" they don't understand, they have never suffered such a tragedy of betrayal and such a loss.

The author is dead.

It's petty to target Innistrad instead of Sorin himself.

Look at this fucking apologist

A thousand years in his demon dungeon. With very pissed off demons looking to take it out on something. Thankfully Avacyn came along eventually and Nahiri could take a break from probably getting triple-teamed.

Yeah, no, she still involved countless tens of thousands of uninvolved people. Possibly millions - we don't know how far Emrakul's influence spread.

That's petty. If she wanted to get Sorin back, she should have gone after him, MAYBE his family. But not Innistrad.

She deserves no sympathy, and her motives are understandable only from the perspective of madmen.

Also, 1,000 years ago, Sorin may have done nothing to de-escalate the situation, but Nahiri was the one who escalated it each time. She's the one who went from "Sorin-sempai~!!" to "I'm gonna fucking chop off your arms and legs and drag you to Zendikar" inside of 5 minutes' worth of conversation.

That's not what happened. She barely interacted with the demons in the Helvault.

>The others began to impact Nahiri, to glance off her in the endless darkness. She never saw them—that had not changed—but she heard them, shrieking, in the last instant before they struck. A talon here, a wing there, a momentary contact with a patch of nameless, inhuman flesh. And then gone, back into the darkness.

>She marked time by those distractions, by those brief and senseless run-ins with the things that inhabited the dark. She did not hate them, even when their numbers swelled and their impacts against her not-quite-body grew more frequent, and more painful. She had no love for demons—had put down more than one to keep them from plaguing her world—but she did not hate them. Not here.

Then later:

>The demons swarmed the angel, shrieking and flapping. They'd left Nahiri alone all these years, glanced off her only incidentally. But they knew their jailer. They knew their only chance for vengeance.

For emphasis:
>They'd left Nahiri alone all these years, glanced off her only incidentally.

Oldwalker. Its a perfectly reasonable decision for one to make.

She's a dumb egocentric whore. She's cute i guess.

>Nahiri was the one who escalated it each time

With one exception. After Avacyn appeared, Nahiri was not in a position to keep fighting. Sorin had her cornered, had backup, and was in control of the situation. It was an escalation to stuff her in the Helvault at that point.

Are you saying it's not petty because she's an oldwalker or are you dismissing it because all the oldwalkers were petty cunts most of the time?

She attacked him when he was weakened. Not much of a choice.

Yeah, well, Sorin *is* a dick, and besides which, he'd already offered several times to end the conflict, warned her against starting it. And Sorin was there to watch her go from "Sorin is my teacher and friend" to "DIE DIE VAMPTHING!" inside of 5 minutes.

He'd probably thought she'd gone insane. He probably wasn't wrong. I can perfectly understand how Sorin would reach the logical conclusion that the Helvault was the only place for her.

Reminder that Nahiri saved countless other planes by attracting Emrakul to Innistrad so the Gatewatch could seal her.

...

She has a cool name.

>he made the situation worse
>with Nissa
LITERALLY
>I'm gonna release the Eldrazi and save Zendikar!
>Don't. That's retarded.
>It's a great idea! I'll save Zendikar by releasing eldritch abominations upon it!
>Motherfucking idiot. I'm out!
>ZENDIKAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

As far as she knows, Sorin destroyed Zendikar. And did so as an acceptable sacrifice to keep his pet plane safe a couple eons longer. Going for said pet plane is only logical, as far as vengeance goes.

Of course, the reality is that Nahiri left her own plane to die when the situation was entirely salvageable (and did get salvaged in the end) and then decided to commit plane-wide genocide as retaliation for a slight that's pretty much all in her head. But she doesn't know that.

It will be extremely interesting once she does learn the truth. It will break her.

She really made her classmate's life less boring, when she was younger.

>It will break her.
I don't think she's nice of a person anymore to care that much. She'll feel frustrated at best.

>it will break her
Nope, it will do nothing, she is devoid of any empathy now, she killed millions of innocent civilians with a smile in her face. Knowing the truth will do nothing.

She cared about Zendikar. Learning that she could have helped stopping the death of her plane and instead did nothing is bound to have some effect on her.

She won't regret a thing about Innistrad and Sorin though, yes.

except Emrakul was going to fuck somewhere up, she simply decided where Somewhere was.

you act as if she made Emrakul do anything, Emrakul would have either fucked up Zendikar, some other plane, or one directed by her, she chose Innistrad.

a nuclear bomb was going to go off, she just chose her sworn enemies homeworld.

also Innistrad doesn't really have that many innocent people left, its a shithole, out of all the planes, its gotta be in the top 5 planes with the least to lose.

Grixis being probably number 1, but now that its connected to the rest of Alara, not so much.

Dude, you should warm up first before doing such mental gymnastics, you're going to torn a tendon.

None of that makes it less petty.

>These mental gymnastics
Yeah, sure, leading Emrakul around by the nose instead of, I don't know, trying to stop her makes perfect sense. If you're a tremendously stupid cunt.

she had no idea how to do that, it wasn't in her conceptual ability to figure out.

I agree that would be the thing to do.. if she even thought it possible, and it turns out it WASN'T

only Emrakul could stop Emrakul.

her little figurin could have look way worst...
you may say it look terrible...
but at the end it could be worst...

She looks like she gives great head and her planeswalker cards are pretty fun.

That's all the positive points I can think off

Avenging the mass murder of everyone you've known and loved is petty now? Because that's just about the way Nahiri sees it. That and the millenia of solitary confinment in Demon Dungeon.

She's entirely wrong, extremely misinformed and more than a little crazy but not really petty.

>she had no idea how to do that

Sure, it's not like she was part of a team that explicitly did that once already.

>Avenging the mass murder of everyone you've known and loved is petty now?

It is if you target people who weren't responsible.

Hey now, that's how vengeance is done. You don't go "hey, you killed my extended family, I'll kill you." No, you kill their extended family.

That's what Nahiri did. Sorin destroyed her plane and reduced her to powerlessness while he did, she destroyed his plane and left her to watch unable to do anything about it. An eye for an eye.

You have no concept of justice.

>sorin destroyd her plane
But he didn't and she fixed the problem by herself

>No, you kill their extended family.
If you're petty.

>Sorin destroyed her plane
That's a bit farfetched.
He used an astronomical amount of his powers to create a being that would save his dying plane and an artifact that would make the plane harder to detect. Incidentally, it also made it harder for signals to reach it, meaning he never got Nahiri's message.
Sure, he should have jumped here and now to check if everything was alright, but once again, he was really weakened.
He's a selfish jerk when it comes to his plane, but you could tell he was surprised about the message thing during the story.

its out of her capabilities, she could only do those things as an Old Walker, the hedron's were completly fucked and she couldn't fix them.

she knew it was screwed, the old way to seal them was impossible by the time she got back.

you misunderstand, as far as Nahiri knows, the Eldrazi are loose because Sorin did nothing to stop them, and this is partially true, he failed to recontain them and brought an element, Nissa, to the situation that let them loose.

Mother of god

Yeah, imprisoning someone for a few thousand years to be raped by demons is "being rude".

I wanna sit on Sorin's face

Nice knife

Damn. That Psych degree with a minor in English Lit is paying off.

That's some deep analysis.

Nice sword.

...

During one of the stories where the Gatewatch are trying to stop Emrakul - if not the moon-sealing story itself - Nissa finally gets into contact with the soul of the plane, and finds herself abhorred at how all the undead, ghosts, demons and shit all fighting against the humans is actually par for the course and it likes that.

I think even Emrakul says to Jace during her mind fuckery of him and the rest of the group that she was tricked into coming here because of what Nahiri did to the leylines, and yhat Innistrad is actually still a "healthy world," and doesn't need to get devoured yet.

Which is why she is napping in the moon; the moment the plane is dying she'll break out and eat it, like she pre-cooked her food before going to bed.

Too bad the guy who made these kind of dropped doing art and MtG as a whole. The stuff he made was heavy with innuendo and wasn't entirely unpleasant to look at.

As far as I know though, he only ever made PG or PG-13 drawings, no NSFW stuff... Except maybe for one or two boobies pics of Liliana, I'm not sure. This was back during the first Innistrad and RTR block that I remember his art being seen the most.

In a game with very few decent-looking waifus, she's okay.

There are plenty of worlds out there Nahiri could have guided Emrakul to. Truly dead worlds like the artificially created (Old) Phyrexia or Serra's Realm or a worlds like Equilor on which all progress has already halted. Or hell, she could have brought Emrakul to any Phyrexian controlled world like Elspeth homeplane or New Phyrexia and have two threats to the multiverse fight each other.

Also, the Eldrazi are entities of the Blind Eternities, Emrakul could have just fucked off floating there for a few centuries.

Nahiri is a genocidal cunt and should be put down.

So? She could done it literally anywhere. There must be planes not filled with innocent people or at least not many.

my first constructed deck was Zendikar Kor, and my magic veteran used Sorin and drain life to bully people.
so yeah, fuck the vampire

I noticed that too, here first pic was better desu, aka pic related.

It's a fucking crime they don't commission UDON for more artwork

She made what had previously been the most boring plane into an interesting world.

Because he refused to walk around Zendikar with her to check on the Eldrazi prison. She just wanted him to reaffirm his commitment to keeping the Eldrazi sealed, and he refused.

What are you dumb?

Except they didn't do anything to her.

Of course they didn't, MTG is PG 13.

Well, Nahiri did rape Sorin with hedrons.

Even if it wasn't Nahiri is also much more powerful than any demon. They wouldn't be able to lay a finger on her if she didn't want them too.

Her sword is pretty cool

She did nothing wrong.

>It's better to trap your friend in a sensationless void for six thousand years and leave the god prison unprotected than take an owie for being rude

Fuck Sorin.

I'm going to yuck it up when Mardu Sorin gives her the pale dick.

I mean I'm the kind of asshole that plays white weenie token spam so I really like her. Also if Sorin's answer to the question "Why haven't you been answering your phone asshole? I called you like ten times." wasn't "Um yeah the thing is...HELLVAULT!" then she probably wouldn't have gone cookoo for coco puffs in the first place.

And yet the oldwalker she has beef with wouldn't even consider ending a world over it.

Elf Hitler was the only reason the Eldrazi went loose, Sorin just kinda was like "wow, good job Nissa you ruined everything, Im out"

>why didn't you answer! You said you would answer!
>look I'm not at my best can we do this l
>I'LL MAKE YOU COME WITH ME
She earned her prison sentence and the fiery revenge when they free my boy Sorin.

You know what the best way to end this storyline is?
Nahiri realieses she made a mistake so she goes to break sorin free, but sorin is already gone
Sorin then goes and literally rapes zendikar with a shit ton of demons he became bros with

>implying they aren't BOTH going to be mad as fuck at Ugin for telling them that the Eldrazi can't be killed

Sorin was still treating her like a newbie nobody, all because he is 1000 years older than her.

When you are 1000 and she is 30? Thats fine.

When you are 7000 and she is 6000? Its just being an asshole. Sorin was never going to take her seriously unless she made him. He deserved to get slapped around a bit and reminded that they equals.
