Siege of Terra

The HH series is coming to a close soon (picture elated). Speculated to end in 2018. So lets discuss it!

What do you speculate about the future releases? What do you want to see? Which authors would you choose to write the Siege and the Final Fight?

>What do you speculate about the future releases
Shit, retains, and above all else, shit retains

>What do you want to see.
The immediate termination of this series, but the impending end of this nightmare will have to survive.

>Which authors would you chose.
Guy Haley, David Annandale, and the other newer, actually semi-competent writers that might minimize the awfulness

>Retains
The worst part of vacation is this tablet's autocorrect

ADB for writing the Emperor vs Horus fight please.

>What do you want to see?

A truck of peace going through the planning session at BL?

christ no. are you fucking stupid?

I liked how ADB wrote the Emperor in MoM.

Who fights with a cape I mean really.

Back in myyyy day, b8 was subtle you dagnab yungin whippersnappers!

Nah man I genuinely liked how the ADB wrote. I liked how he looked and talked differently to each different person he met.

Whats this for or from?

"I was there, the day Horus killed the Emperor."

something like the ending to Wizards then?

No matter how it ends, Veeky Forums and the 40K fan sites will be in flames once is out.

So you are a retarded cuck that love Taus?

2018 seems way rushed.

Thank Jebus. It's not like they've done anything good taking their time

No, I love Eldar feet.

The upcoming BL weekender.

That is the most super awkward fighting pose I have ever seen. Seriously, who drew that shit?

How is it awkward? Horus slashed at the Emperor with the talon shredding his cape but bbefore the talon could connect to the Emperor he created a psy-shield.

I'd rather not see the fight. The fight is supposed to be the culmination of the entire Heresy and no author, BL or outsider, would do a fight between peak transhumans justice.

He is parrying Horus' blow while at the same time turning away from it with his leg raised like he's about to break into a run. He's a man encased in a ton of armor and he looks like a stiff breeze could knock him over because of his footing. I don't even know what his sword arm is doing there.

Just for giggles, I'd like to see GW hand the Emperor/Horus duel off to an anime studio to turn into an OVA. I want to see if Japan is capable of going full retard with the Horus Heresy.

ADB is the best author on their team. He just triggers Imperium fags who actually believe the 40k story that space marines and the emperor are the good guys, which was always meant to be ironic , satire but got taken literally by meatheads.

ADB writes it how it really is and actually gives characterisation to the chaos factions.

>ADB is the best author on their team.

Says something about the quality of BL writing, doesn't it?

>got taken literally by meatheads

Such as people actually writing the stories, why Primarchs are not Space Marines+ with millennia of bloated myths and legends built on them, but actual demigods who can defeat entire armies, punch titans and you need super magical weapons to even injure them.

>how it really is

A bunch of retards doing retarded shit because of plot.

>characterisation to the chaos factions

"Daddy doesn't love me" is not much of a characterization.

>What do you speculate about the future releases?
The skubbiest retcons yet devised for 40k

>What do you want to see?
For them not to retcon the final battle, as one less retcon is one less thing to derail every fucking 40k thread on Veeky Forums as autists like carnac patrol the threads for wrong opinions well into the foreseeable future. But that's what I want, certainly not what I'll get.
I bet this very thread is already full of "grognards" and "nucanonfags" screeching at each other about fluff designed to sell plastic toys like its a fucking religious schism.

>speculation
everyone gonna be mad
>want to see
3 books of short stories from a variety of perspectives in 3 stages of the siege, demonstrating scope, horror and consequences of broken fraternities
>authors
early 2000s dan abbnet, simon spurrier, adb with a strict editor, john french, josh reynolds, graham mcneill with a thorough editor, maybe anthony reynolds.

Ian Watson's probably the only one who could ever do an interesting rendition of the emperor though.

AGONIZINGLY ALONE Emperor is still, and likely always will be, GOAT Emperor

I really liked it. Probably not what they're going for currently. The Carrion Throne had a sort of shout out to it towards the end though, so maybe.

More interested in the new AoS fluff. Finally they are fluffing out the world/realms. I'd give it a couple more years and no one will miss the LotR Fantasy Old world anymore.

ADB's depiction of chaos motivations makes then look even more retarded though

>He just triggers Imperium fags
he's shit at writing chaos

t. chaos fag

Dan Abbnet or nothing!

go back to watching cuck porn bowden

I still think we should send him cum tributes for his son.

>I like it when he makes dads hate their sons, it reminds me of my childhood

ADB turning the Heresy into an epic failcascade of demonic possession and daddy issues is amusing to watch from the sidelines, at least. I can just see ABD's Horus breaking down and crying "DADDY WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?" during the final battle while the Emperor thinks about how he never liked the Primarchs anyway and should've just dumped them on their mother or something.

>his son
kek

ADB pls

>implying they'll stop milking the cow

Here are plot threads still in the air
>Luther and his boys on Caliban
>Fulgrim and a third of his legion being awol
>the wolf cull
>how the NL fleets reunited
>the IH revenants
>the fate of the Sisypheum
>lorgar and angron getting to Terra
>DG falling to nurgle
>the fall of beta garmon
>civil war on Mars
>rezzed vulkan
>fate of gramatticus
>knights errant going to Murder

Christ, even letting Chris-Chan taking a crack at it would lead to a better outcome.

Pls no

Sanguinius Defying Angron on the Walls of Terra.
Jaghatai's inevitable final battle against Daemon Primarch Mortarion.
Daemon Fulgrim and his boys tormenting the civilians of Terra, only to be interrupted by the arrival of The Legion of The Damned, led by Flaming Damned Primarch Ferrus Manus in the ultimate Grudge Match.
A scene of Rogal Dorn and Perturabo at war, not personally in combat, but mathematically applying their skills in tactics, logistics and strategy as two chessmasters would move about pieces on a board.

Fuck I forgot to add in Siggy killing Kharn.

So I take it this is another instance where a guy getting somewhat popular in a niche makes it so that pretentious assholes have to pretend they never liked him. People loved his Night Lords work, but now we have to say he's shit at writing chaos.

Did they cover Sanguinius arriving on Terra yet?

Shit son I want to watch a movie about two generals just basically trying to beat each other like war was chess. There has too be a drama like that

His abuse of his position to shove his personal headcanons into the story and use it as form of therapy/venting for his daddy issues has amazingly managed to turn Chaos into even more of a joke and further cemented Black Library's reputation as nothing more than a 40k fanfiction archive.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

That metaphor doesn't work when people praised most if not all of his work up to Master of Mankind getting them butthurt, from First Heretic to Betrayer to the three Night Lords novels to The Emperor's Gift.

Waterloo, the Soviet one from the seventies that's in English and has Christopher Plummer as Wellington

>When there was plenty of Nig Lords criticism to begin with due to fanboyism and waifushit

>Nig Lords

(◎ヮ◎)

I refuse to believe that anyone likes Emperor's Gift, and if they do, they're intentionally ignoring the entire second half where the 1st War for Armageddon gets retconned into an unbearable Space Yiff dick sucking festival.
