Last thread:

First for KEKEKEKEKEKE

Look at that zipper headed cutie bot.

Also second post for Szally!

I must have it.

...

Looks less like girl lean and more like it's being pushed back by the recoil of the giant rotary railgun.

They're going to give it full auto aren't they?

But it's a fucking TAG....

Also as long as she looks good, I don't care. Volunteer here looks fine. However, the Foxtrot BSG is pure garbage.

Highly unlikely. B5 is the cap CB have it seems, for whatever reason they judge that to be. You would get modifiers like mimetism and marksmanship2 before B6.

That is the perfect sound effect for that thing.

>Sniper Zhayedan

Imma run him. Any predictions?

Meh. It's okay, but it ain't the breaker rifle. I'd rather a Djan for sniping, cutting through smoke is some good shit.

I'm liking the fact he has Marksmanship L2.

His shots are more guaranteed and the damage on it is enough to eat through cover.

As has stated, B5 is the highest number they plan to keep. B6 would make crit fishing too easy.
It seems 15 is also the highest dmg value they want to keep, so Fatality is also rather unlikely.

Problem is that's rarely good enough to take on most targets. The first reaction of most opponents when you bring out a sniper is to shoot it with an HMG or throw down smoke to send dudes into its neutral band. Both Djans and Zhayedans go down pretty quick against the former, but Djans are uniquely immune to the latter and can seriously disrupt an opponent's warband usage because of it. Raw power < utility when it comes to unlinked snipers, because high burst guns will always do raw power better.

So I just gotta make sure to bring it to bear away from an HMG? Forcing smokes doesn't seem all that bad imo. Although the more that I think about it I'll try to see if I can keep him prone and then pop up for an active-turn kill shot.

>crit fishing
>when burst 4 fatality exist, brst 5 in probable link

Leaning back and locking your joints is indisputably more stable when there's no recoil involved

Thats the thing why B5 will probably stay as the highest possible number.

Except regular brs 6 has nothing on brst 5 with double criticals

What should be the next TAG resculpt, now after Guija, Maggy, Squalo, Avatar and Szally have been done? I believe the TAGs hand-sculpted by Roig still in production are Lizzy, Cutter, Sphinx(?) and Marut.

also that lean forward shit is part of "tac shooting" which is intended to present armor plates to the enemy

for accurate shooting, you stand up straight, which could include leaning back slightly. leaning back is better than leaning forward unless you're doing proper tac shooting

TG I want to build the Morat sectorial. Any suggestions? I already have the basic box;

Rodoks? Drone box?

Lizard still looks good and I hope it doesnt see too much of a redesign. Just bring it up to modern standards and I will be happy.

I'm not following you. What do you mean with double crit?

Lizard or Cutter. Lizard sculpt needs a facelift and a repose, Cutter needs to get his proportions unfucked.

Looking at what they've done with the Avatar, I hope Sphinx never gets a resculpt.

First things first, decide what link you want to build around. Yaogats, Rodoks, Hungries and Suryats are all solid choices. Vanguards are okay if you manage to get Anyat to join them. Get the box of the one you want.

After that there's auxiliary shit. Get a Zerat, you'll need it. You could proxy something else I guess if you don't want old models.
If you didn't get the Yaogat box, get the Yaogat sniper for MSV.
If you didn't get Hungries, get Daturazi for warbands and smoke.
After that pretty much everything except more Raktoraks and Oznats (one is all you'll ever need of either) and the Raicho (real qualifier for worst TAG in the game) is a fine investment, though in particular the Drone box, Kornak and Doctor Worm are great early additions.

Daturazi and a Yogat sniper are a pretty good.

Also if you can find a 5th one a 5 man fireteam of Daturazi can do some crazy stuff.

You could also get some Suaryats and Kornak for a team with your raktorak.

>In addition to the usual Critical rule, thanks to this Special Skill, any result of 1 achieved by its user in the BS Rolls are also Criticals even when the Modified Attribute is lower than 1.

Isn't that the fatality lv2 rule? Since the highest burst weapon that comes with the rule is a Spitfire, right now B4 is the best we can get, no?

Yeah, but even with brst 4 that is 34.4% crit chace vs. 26.4% crit chance what regular brst 6 would have. And khawarj links seem likely in their sectorial, which would raise the burst to 5 and give 40.1% crits.

Lizard has always divided the masses.

I'd expect the Cutter and Sphinx because of Varuna and Shasvasti sectorials (plus the Remote Ancilliary for the sphinx already made)

Sphinx is unlikely to be resculpted–its Scindron is already based off the current Sphinx's back.

Ever since I started Infinity I have been waiting for Tunguska to be released as a sectorial, so looking forward to next year.

I've been wanting to do the White Banner Sectorial for two years ... but I guess Invincibles are cool too.

New player here and I have no idea what's going on, anything new for Yu Jing? If not, which starter box should I get? There are like 5 of them

Yeah and I thought the Daofei woulda been a shoe in for Invincible Army too, but apparently it's white banner.

Guess I'll just play with my Zuyongs and Yan Huo

So nothing major for the Yu Jing on the horizon, I'd recommend Imperial starter or half of Red Veil, JSA starter is pretty old.

There was a lot new going on for Yu Jing last year. It got a little less frantic recently, but there's still two new things to come out this year (Shikami and second Kanren).

As for starter, depends if you want to play generic Yu Jing or one of the sectorials. They vary wildly in playstyle: JSA is super aggressive with little durability, ISS has crazy amount of various link teams and some of YJ's best units (Kuang Shi, Hsien, and Su-Jian) and a ton of mercenaries while generic Yu Jing is the most generalist army (moreso than PanO), with their best units being their varied Heavy Infantry (generic YJ is much tougher than JSA usually).

I'd recommend either generic or ISS, unless you really want to run groups of suicidal space samurai.

Haqq remote resculpt when?

If you're the real Bostria, you tell me.

Oh wait, I know the answer ... never.

Correct answer.

Glorious chickenbots forever!
just make their legs stop breaking
..........................please

After reading up a bit on their differences I think I want to start out with vanilla, but I prefer the models in the ISS starter box over the models in Red Veil. Is that possible as a start?

Yeah, sure. If you go pure ISS, the only mini you'll need from Red Veil is the Hsien, but with cheap MSV2 provided by the Rui Shi I can't remember the time I last fielded a Hsien anyway.

Oh wow. I only skimmed over the numbers, didn't expect to make that much of a difference.
That is scary, really scary.

There's a ninja too, which is a nice addition to IS.

Khawarj OP, pls nerf!

Ah, memories

Oh, right. I forgot she wasn't the preorder bonus.

I didn't like the chickenbots at first, but I've grown fond of their dopiness and the way you can humiliate other players by killing their stuff with a dumb chicken. My Rafiq has a ridiculous amount of named character kills to its name. Last saturday I played against a Steel Phalanx player and my Rafiq killed his Ajax.
People always forget about the shotgun.
During a tournament game I buffed up a Rafiq with MML2 and got it to flank around a Senor Massacre link team. Shock templates make easy work of light infantry as my opponent came to know.

Never really understood why. It wasnt a metal potato and looked really unique like some walking tank/bipedal battle crab, granted that leaves one wondering why call it lizard at all. I get the feeling its going to be made similar to iggy and szally; obvious head, no integrated weapons into its arms so it can gives the deadliest "talk to the hand".

>ISS starter box over the models in Red Veil. Is that possible as a start?
Yes, but you'll have a surplus of Celestial Guard.

Anyone grab the grunt spec ops?

Was it worth it?

Best SAS proxy.

Is it just me or does the Hunzaqt have a really ariadnan look?

People use her as a Chasseur all the time. It's the hat and not so visible knee-caps, mostly.

what weapon options does he come with?

Hey Veeky Forums, new guy interested in Infinity here.

I took a liking to the evil red monkeys, suryat and sogarat specifically. Does anyone know what good additions to a 5 man suryat link team/meme sogarat + kornat link would be for 300 points?

I'm thinking Daturazi or Oznat Hungries to provide smoke + chaff but am curious as to how effective stuff like that actually is or whether a hacker/drone combo would be better.

> Vanguards are okay if you manage to get Anyat to join them

I want to complain about how fickle Anyat can be with her fireteam, but goddamn she gets so much work done. At this point I just trust her judgement if she says a group of Vanguards are crap.

Glory to the Supremacy.

idk, it's hard to be too scared due to the low armor and wounds of the Khawarj. If you are able to get an uncontested shot on the fireteam (or a grenade, or a chain rifle, or a flamethrower) that's a lot of dead dudes.

If you don't already have hackers then take hacker.

If you don't already have smoke then take smoke.

If you have neither than try to take both.

Anyone else really fucking underwhelmed by this? All the waiting and anticipation led up to Joan on tactical grope rock. I guess CB felt they needed to go overboard, but I would've preferred just a neutral/readied pose that can fit into any context.

Makes me glad I have the exclusive version

Eh, I'm glad they have some "classic" hero poses for some models. Joan seems like the perfect candidate for such a pose too.

I like the pose mirroring the french personification of Victory but I'm disappointed there's not a helmeted option.

Just run them as ISS then?

>Anyone grab the grunt spec ops?
Yes
>Was it worth it?
Gonna use it as the third Irmandinho.
>oh hey someone liked my Chasseqts mockup enough to save it

You'll want ~2 chain Daturazi anyway. If you get them, grab a Yaogat sniper too for max synergy and great board control.
Also, 5 Suryats are the meme link. The standard comp would be 3 Suryats + Kornak (great aggressive LT you can afford to risk) + Raktorak (cheap filler + specialist option).

I'm disappointed by the boob plate.

>it's literally [CURRENT YEAR]
>bitches still hate on boob plate

It floors me that such terrible taste as this persists.

Oh I can agree she would look good as a diorama piece or even a painting. But as a game piece, it's too specific of a context for me (right up there with vaulting wulver and kusanagi), and fragile to transport and play.

They should've just gone with just about any pose from saber

I want a pic of Joan + Achilles side by side.

Go fuck yourself, boobplate is as integral to infinity as tactical rocks and wedge heels.

Have you not seen Infinity before?

Gotcha.

What about the oznat/hungries? I don't hear about them very often, are they that bad? I'm planning to use them as chaff to charge into enemy pieces to cause overflow for targets/allah ackbar corner campers.

Hungries are usually run as a link of their own as cheap order generators, which can chew most things that get too close. But you can obly run one core link.

CA doesn't have a lot of points to play with when it comes to hedging models so you're not going to see a lot of talk about Hungries outside of the Core link as said. However, they are pretty excellent if you want to run them as your Core link as they provide much needed cheap orders to your list and allow you to comfortably run the more interesting picks in Morats such as a Yaogat Haris that would otherwise leave you a little under strength in a standard game. Just keep in mind that you don't need to use them as cheerleaders all the time and it can be of great benefit to use them as aggressively as possible to throw people off. They're not the best killers, but they're cheaper tarpits than anything else you can get and pretty good at the job to boot!

No, Hungries are great filler and an Oznat+Hungries link is a fun alternative core. Because you can only have one core team at a time, you start with the core on the Oznat team, advance using your greater order efficiency, then use a command token to switch the link to a more defensive team. Then your enemy has the dubious fun of dislodging angry zerglings from contested territory while under sniper fire.

Also, Oznat is a neat alternate option to give Yaogats smoke.

Rules question. I shoot an enemy model on my active turn with a HRL in template mode. The enemy model sees the shot, fires back as an ARO, but fails the FtF, so the template lands. The template hits another enemy model who was not able to see my model fire the rocket. Does this other model get a dodge roll?

1) Yes, although it gets a -3 modifier for not being in LoF.
2) The second model has to make this roll even if the enemy ARO had cancelled your attack as long as the attack doesn't miss completely.

A model being hit by a template he cannot see gets a dodge roll at -3

Which army makes the most credible biker list?

JSA, USAriadna, vanilla Haqq.

I gotta say probably USARF, because they have Mavericks, who double as fast specialists and killer pieces, as well as the more disposable Desperadoes. JSA Aragoto are also pretty good, as Mimetism makes them harder to hit and they have a Hacker profile. Haqq Kum Bikers look the best, but they are basically a suicide unit and nothing more.
Note that bikes are usually both big and fragile and making an entirely biker army is asking for trouble.

>it's literally [CURRENT YEAR]
>bitches still don't hate on boob plate

It floors me that such terrible taste as this persists.

Nah, those things are cool and kind of make sense.

Except for maybe the wedge heels.

Uh, someone can be disappointed in something that is common. In fact that's pretty much the foundation of cultural change.

>2) The second model has to make this roll even if the enemy ARO had cancelled your attack as long as the attack doesn't miss completely.

wut

>Haqq Kum Bikers look the best, but they are basically a suicide unit and nothing more.

What, you don't use your Kum as a cheap utility piece?

You all think the blackjack will be multiweapon or just the one type?

Probably a single gun.

Here's how it goes.

-Declare impact template shot
-Place template centered on target
Everyone who is under the template that couldn't already declare an ARO, declares their ARO, usually dodge
- Impact Template shooter rolls, calculating mods from the model declared against. Note successes. Crit effects only apply to initial target.
-models under the template have to beat the template shooter's successes individually with their AROs to save themselves
-resolve each face to face on an individual basis.

Remember dodging a template out of LOF, barring the applicable level of sixth sense, is at a -3 penalty.

How do I expand on Icestorm Nomads if I want to focus on the upcoming Tunguska sectorial? Just get the Beyond box and Interventors and that's it? Should I get remotes and which ones?

Holy fuck Heavy Rocket Launcher just got way better.

Basic remotes can be fitted in most lists.

Yeah that's pretty much it. You can pick up the boarding shotgun spektr too and as for remotes, the standard zond box will always be good. Nomads also have really good attack remotes in the Lunokhod and Sputnik. I haven't ever used the meteor zond, so I don't know if it's worth getting

Oh and I almost forgot Szally

I really like it, could do without the alien arm but I'll live. Only thing I'm disappointed about is that I now have to use my LE Joan as the mobility armour version since this new one is specifically carrying a multi.

And securitate, but you probably want to wait until they get reworked

I've been wanting to do Invincibles for ages but with them not getting the Dao Fei and likely not the Hac Tao either, I'm all aboard the "wait for white banner" train

I hear Invincible Army is getting some AD HI. Also potentially a new high level HI (Shang Ji rework) since without Su Jian, Cranes, Hac Tao, Dao Fei, and Hsien the only truly badass HI you have is the Yan Huo.

If we're lucky Invincible Army will rework Guijia a little and give us a Zhanshi core.

arm means you can't remove her tactical rock and replace it with your natural terrain or whatever.

That's a blunder in my book. She'll be a hard pass for me. Have the LE version anyway.
