I'm trying to make Sea of Sand less confusing, even if only for posterity. The only things I can think of are to explicitly name the Dream of Genie species of each narrator, like the third one mentioning taking the protagonist back to 'Jann Town", but I worry that would break the tone completely. What should I do, or should I just abandon this CYOA and move onto something the thread finds potentially more enjoyable?

Hey /CYOA/ I was exposed to and have been reading through pic related lately, largely because it was posted in one of the threads a day or two ago, and I have been having trouble interpreting the awkward wording of the cost for extra worlds.

Hey ZBG, just wanted to say that while sometimes you rub me the wrong way (for reasons that aren't necessarily on you) you still put out the most consistently well made content in this thread, and I thank you for making positive contributions to a general that seriously needs them. Nobody else puts out the amount of content with the level of visual design and storytelling that you do. Your work might not be my favorite, but credit where it's due, you fucking try, and that means something.

I'd like to see you branch out and try new types of CYOA, but otherwise keep doing what you're doing.

They could be, so long as finding Jann Eruydice doesn't ultimately satisfy them. I was trying to leave the nature of the protagonist ambiguous, which is why they start within the dream instead of entering it or exiting it like my other two protagonists.

I was actually just naming realms at random, but now I want to make a build that uses those three.

We're accustomed to information. It comes with age. We can't just have anything, it has to be novel and new. Just like how a film critic can poupou a film that brought a young man to tears or a practiced musician can shun a song for its simple chord progressions. It's a natural process that our minds are undergoing every second of every day, and it kind of scares me.

The worst thing that happens is that you forcibly take a ghost back into reality with you instead of letting them rest. That has implications on you personally but honestly nothing you need worry about from this perspective.

I was originally gonna design it so that you have to choose a girl, and then also choose which mech you want, but now I'm tossing around the idea of making each girl each have their own specific mech that you also have to take into consideration when picking which girl you want, sorta like Kaifu each girl's mutations were different.

The former option is better, right? Allows for more freedom instead of being torn between a girl you like and a shitty mech you don't want to use.
