How do we fix Veeky Forums?

bringing up identity politics in tabletop games is made a bannable offense. enjoy your shit thread op

>Gookmoot
kek

Ban /pol/. Also, I despise vyshivatniks, but I'd consider banning you for posting the pic.

Unlike other boards e.g. /tv/ and /pol/, Veeky Forums is in good shape. The only problem is a site wide and internet culture problem. Things just ain't as good as they used to be.

Autistic board police trying to shut down all badwrongfun need to go though.

>call jackie Veeky Forums a gook
>Identity politics
Where did pol touch you? Did reddit refuse you care?

Bring back /quests/ but cultivate a board sub culture that encourages quest being done relatively quickly as opposed to just becoming permanent generals on the board with dozens of threads. Also prune away all the ones that degenerate into porn

>Gookmoot
>not just g00k

By having people actually use the gamefinder threads. These things are worthless nowadays.

This.

Low image replies to poster count indicates things go south and we are turning into reddit. Post more stuff to thwart this calamity.

>These things are worthless nowadays.
Maybe many posters found groups in gamefinder threads or IRL and have bo need to post there anymore?

Remove CYOAs, which are quests.

Be less autistic about porn so secondaries get scared their moms will see and leave.

Continue to bully that guy who has autistic shit fits about anime elves.

But CYOAs are not quests.

Nah, quests belong on their own board.

>g00k
>not mootwo

Everyone wants to eat, no one wants to cook.

I feel like we could do something about the 20 different barely distinguishable magic threads, but that may just be my dislike for TCGs shining through.

>Also prune away all the ones that degenerate into porn
So, all of them?

I'm not sure one follows the other but ok, here's an image.

They're actually even worse, basically quests where the QM is too lazy to do anything and everyone just masturbates in a circle.

You're right, /qst/ doesn't need that spam. Send them to /trash/ instead

I would rather /pol/ be around forever than for questfags to come back. The community is that terrible.

New mods and janitors.
The ones we currently have are either emasculated nu-males or jealous landwhales that feel threatened by cheesecake and cripple threads on a whim because of it

Veeky Forums is the best board on the site right now. Worst thing here is really stupid and out of touch autists, but that's not something you can fix.

>I feel like we could do something about the 20 different barely distinguishable magic threads, but that may just be my dislike for TCGs shining through.

There's a thread for each format that's hardly "barely distinguishable"

The people discussing Commander aren't going to be discussing the same things as the Modern general and so on.

Agghhh...

The only fucker with a brain ITT.

That means literally nothing to me, so maybe you're right. I wouldn't want Age of Smegmar in the Warhammer thread, either.

Different formats use different cards, strategies, etc.

Like Modern isn't using Black Lotus for example but I'm not even sure if we have Vintage players on Veeky Forums with P9 desu.

No, they're literally not even related to each other. A CYOA is just a picture that you make a character off of using it's isolated rules in solitude. It's just chargen floating in the void.
Quests have multiple participants, a game system with conflict resolution, and an ongoing story featuring specific characters. Like an RPG.

Atleast /cyoag/ sticks to one thread usually, but I can count three MTG threads on the front page right now.

That's good, user. We are one step closer to preserving Veeky Forums.

ban non-generals.

We become turn-/a/ gundam

I propose the opposite, keep the /qst/ and dump CYOA stuff there.

There's usually at least 3, the general pne, the jumpchain one, and that stupid waifu one. As pointed out the card threads apparently aren't as compatible as one would think.

Questfags are still on the board. How else could people claim to want quests back this quickly after thread is made?

The thing about quests on Veeky Forums though is that Veeky Forums is a good audience. They understand writing and roleplaying, hold you to a high standard, and if you put in the effort, do solid write-ins for you. What /qst/ could have potentially done at best, and it never did, would be create spacebattles the board. And does anyone that?

Agreed.

Why remove quests?

Nah, questfags just come here, use the word 'we,' and try to beg their way back onto the board.

/qst/ being as slow as it is shows it was always crossboarder spam. Someone else can carry that cross, not us.

Nah, quests belong on this board.

Nope.

Thought you could hide could you?

*want that, sure am a dumb phoneposter

Anyway, bringing up quests in a Veeky Forums metathread at this point, from one side or the other, is just obnoxious. We can't turn back time.

yeah, that's what he said: it's even worse the quest.

>I am triggered when there are multiple threads I don't like

Cheesecake on Veeky Forums is probably literally older than you.

One is Commander, one is a one of spoiler thread for the next set that should be in the Modern general and I can't see the other you're talking about.

>there is no overlap between quests and Veeky Forums

/qst/ is as slow as it is because nobody who ran quests on Veeky Forums uses it. We've all mostly moved to anonkun.

Nice falseflag, I just want cute girls in the OP.
It helps bring eyes to the thread and foster discussion, it's a tradition as old aa time.

>talking about cheesecake is what made him think I was /pol/

You got a reason why they shouldn't?

I know you don't

This guy knows

...

We should put all cyoas into a single general but they can stay.

They are generally small, and fit the Veeky Forums theme as they are tiny self contained rpg's

Quests needed to go cause they where clogging up the board and many where very cancerous and off topic

This is pretty much accurate.
I do miss when everything felt smaller, there was a bit more creativity.
That Non Existant Wargame thread recently was fun.
