Name this element:

Is there a good catch all term for things like pollution, acid, plague, venom, disease, virus, radiation, etc? It just doesn't feel right to name it Poison.

Blight or Bane probably works.

Pestilence?

Stank

Rot?

Biohazard

Stench damage

Winner!

Death?

And some of them do have one name - Mutagens (radiation, pollution, usually vibration, viruses and some poisonous materials like petrol)

What's wrong with Poison?

Corruption
Blight
Putrescence (or Putrefaction)
Foul
Filth
Affliction
Contamination
Vile
Defilement
Taint

Bane?

Toxicity

Serious answer: Toxic

Joke answer: Your mom

/pol/ answer: Jew

Bane

I agree with corruption.

>foul
>vile
>toxic

You can't name elements adjectives

I just wish the word corruption rolled of the tongue more

Blight and Rot are probably your best bets. I prefer Rot; Blight feels more passive and long-term while Rot is more active and immediate IMO.

>Rot
Decay sounds better

Scourge

Seriously

Ruin

>whats cold?

a noun

Cold, colder, coldest.
Retard, more retarded, most retarded.

I hope you're being daft for the purposes of trolling

I'm surprised no one said the most obvious one.

Miasma

How about Toxin, then?

I think Plague works rather well, whether it's diseases, pollution or radiation.

Acid isnt a toxin. Pollution isnt a toxin. Disease isnt (necessarily) a toxin

No it doesn't. Same as Pestilence. Too specific.

Refers specifically to air/smell. Same as stank.

It has to be one of the vague ones:
Corruption
Scourge
Bane
Decay

"I can really feel THE COLD."

Why merge acid and venom in there? Without them you could say filth damage. I prefer acid and venom to be their own elements.

>what is one single concise word that encompasses harmful radiation, biological disease, polution, and chemical acids, and magical/esoteric badness

I guess Harm

even if scientifically these are all unrelated concepts they all share similar thematic motifs.

just like you cant help but associate magma with fire even though it should be more closely related to earth. fire and lava share similar thematic motifs

Of our city?

That's just a nother term for Funk.

World of Darkness calls it the Wyrm.

Poison, disease, radiation, and the like are all thematically similar, but acid is thematically distinct. It's a rapid corrosion of the body rather than the slow deterioration the others cause.

The only reason they're thematically related is because acid and poison are both poisonous liquids, but that goes out the window when you add in disease, radiation, and the like.

workplace hazardous materials

Ruin is pretty good.
Decay isn't bad either.

Waste
Spoil
Perish

Spoiling seems fitting.

Biohazard

>REEEEE user is not being original again

I despise this complaint so much

Poison, disease and radiation can be rapid too

Are you the old witch from princess bride?

>You can't name elements adjectives
Bitch, I'm a fucking wizard, I'll noun all the adjectives I want!

And I'll verb nouns too while I'm at it!

What about "nasty shit"
