In honour of Hugh Hefner, let's have a rabbit girl/rabbit-people thread.

Have you ever had them in your game? Are they just fetish bait or can they be a fully fleshed out culture?

What's the line between anthropomorphized and furry? For me, Fran and the Viera are the side of the line I prefer.

That's just a trash female human wearing the ears of a dead rabbit.

GOD DAMMIT NO

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IMMORTAL

bunnies have their place.
I like them wielding spears. with fighters being very atypical. heavy and I mean HEAVY boosts to run speeds, charge attacks, and agility stuff. lots of things get favored enemy boosts against them though because rabbit is delicious lean meat.

I like them further along the spectrum towards furry than most, but thats just because I can keep my dick off the table and play them straight as a race. legs, fur, digging claws, ears whiskers, prone to bolt from big loud or scary things, etc. etc.

>honoring trash

>let's have a rabbit girl/rabbit-people thread
I demand rabbit-boys for totally un-fetish-ing reasons!

Personally, I really want to explore the possibilities with an expy of the Shin'hare, because these bunnies are freaking psycho:

Seconded, but unironically.

Putting the jacked in jack-rabbit.

/d/ is that way...

I replaced halflings in my setting with rabbit people. My players like to characterize them as a little insane compared to their cute exterior.

>What's the line between anthropomorphized and furry?
If it's an animal with human traits, it's anthropomorphized. If it's a human in basically an animal costume, it's furry.

>Are they just fetish bait
>the side of the line I prefer.

Have a Tabit from Sword World

>If it's a human in basically an animal costume
What does that mean, just fursuits? Or that physically they're 90+% animal but have personality etc. like a human?

If the rabbit in question does not strike fear into the hearts of your players, then it is not a rabbit worth having.

A combination of things. Could be fursuit, could just be a character who is essentially human but with fur, a snout, and a tail. It's why Redwall isn't considered furry but something like the D&D dragonborn could have a case made for it.

fuck outta here

> All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

Her nose, hands, and feet are structurally different, what more do you want you fucking furry.

I've run several final fantasy based campaigns and several players have made a viera now and then. Also made a character a viera blacksmith, but that wasn't a final fantasy setting (dm just said we could play whatever races we wanted so we decided to go with an FF theme).

So
>Animal with human traits is anthro, mostly towards animals.
>Human with fur, a snout and a tail is furry, very humanoid and just animal traits on top of that.

Makes sense, though I would say the line isn't that clear. Anthro technically encompasses a lot, while furry is more narrow, I would say Redwall/ Mouse Guard/ Disney isn't furry but also that otherkin furshit is anthro.

If it has human proportions and animal head and genitals, it's furry.
If it has animal proportions, opossable thumbs and a personality, it's a fable dweller.

Frith vaorah rusati

Trickster gods should always be rabbit themed.

Under-explored as potential villains too imo

God I hate Frans' design compared to the FFTA versions of Viera. At least then people had to try and figure out if this was a fetish of mine or not, because they all weren't in metal bikinis.

Don't underestimate how nasty jackrabbits can get in a fight.

Why are space rabbits always green? Its him and Bucky O'Hare

>Have you ever had them in your game?
We had a Final Fantasy flavored Campaign, so yes. We had Viera, along with a bunch of other FF races, like Elezen, Bangaa, Moogles, etc.

I played a Viera White Mage. More laser cleric than White Mage I guess, given she threw around Holy magic like candy, but the fluff was still White Mage. She became a goddess near the end of the campaign and I had to stat her as a level 30 character. It was a wild ride.

Yeah instead they were in half nighties and shit. Seriously dude?

looking real jacked baby

>Nose
Looks like a fairly normal human nose to me
>Hands
So if I grow my nails out I am now a rabbit girl? Neat.
>Feet
Standing on my toes turns me into a rabbit.

Really nigger? They wore much the same as a different race in a similar class

Have a pooka, and not the odin sphere kind

>What's the line between anthropomorphized and furry?
Anthropomorphized /is/ furry.
Like, that's the whole definition. Anthropomorphized animals. Animals with a human-like body. It can be argued animals with human-like intelligence qualify too.

>Tfw anthropomorphic settings, which have been a staple of fairy tale fantasy from time immemorial has been ruined because of fetishist that are so predominant that running games with only animal people is now considered a red flag.

>In honour of Hugh Hefner,
Wait, is he -10HP already?

I'd say its the fault of people who associate any sort of beastkin with furries more than it is the actual furries shoving their fetish everywhere. that may have been an issue like 10 years ago or something but its certainly not the case anymore. Its just leftover stigma. The viera are particularly sexually charge appearance wise inherently though.

A day ago or so

>In honour of Hugh Hefner
Wai wo what what what? He is having a birthday or something, right?

he dieded

This thing's pretty dumb

I dunno

Human face + No opposable thumbs triggers me.

It's a good theme for an antagonist the players have to race or chase after over a longer period of time.

>If it has human proportions and animal head and genitals, it's furry.
>and genitals
That's funny, because most furry artists give them human genitals to be more aesthetically pleasing. Meanwhile, Veeky Forums obsesses over monster girls which explicitly HAVE animal genitals. The double standards are wonderful on this board.

This guy has the right of it, while is part of the problem. Just because someone does (thing) you don't like shouldn't ruin your enjoyment of it. That makes you more of a fag for letting others dictate how you go about your life.

Do you prefer the faces a bit more leporine, maybe?

Super into furry porn, but can't stand animal genitalia. Non-human pussy and dicks are fucking disgusting.

I just want to play an Ironclaw game without everyone thinking it is a furry cesspool.

Yes, I love my furry porn, but I'm not one to magical realm. Lets just have some cool adventures with porcupine wizards and armadillo pugilists.

thats more of an exception than a rule.

its territorial yeah?

...

cant lie, id breed me a delicious bown bunny girl like, well, a rabbit

>and not the odin sphere kind

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Pooka is a general term?

I think it's the only game I ever played with rabbit people in it.

Well... It's LIKE a birthday, just the opposite.

I'd love to try out Ironclaw without it being a furry cesspool; sounds p. good.

>Replace the redundant hairy feet human midgets with rabbits thus making them being dexterous fat fucks that live in plains still make sense as a stereotype

Holy shit you're a genius.

I deeply apologize this looked like a rabbit in my folder, I'm going to go commit sudoku now.

Why is stuff like Viera okay but anthro rabbits aren't?

I like them

If I ever do a furry game they are going in.

I prefer minimum fur desu

Haven't played Usagi's game, but it's easy to find.

In general I tend to prefer anthropomorphized animal races rather than basically humans with some animal features. I've been kind of considering adding in a rabbit race into my game, but it would be less a human with rabbit ears and more a big more upright rabbit with thumbs.

Though thinking about it now I'd probably do a hare/jackrabbit race rather than a rabbit race, fuck rabbits.

damn, thats a kick, id like to see the thighs on the females

...

What system did you use?
That sounds great, i wanna give it a try with my group

>monster girls which explicitly HAVE animal genitals.
That's going to vary on a case by case basis. A centaur is going to have a horse pussy by necessity. A lamia could go either way or even fall somewhere in between. Spider girls are pretty much 100% going to have human genitals. Goo girls don't even have genitals.

We did it with DnD 4e. We just let players re-fluff the details like spell, class, and race names. White Mage was obviously cleric, Dia was Sacred Flame, Cure was Healing Word. Pretty straightforward.

For races, the GM had a guideline for what would make sense mechanically for certain races (Viera fit pretty neatly as base Elf), but allowed us to fluff our race as whatever we want, with GM approval.

GM even ended up homebrewing his own Final Fantasy-flavored paragon paths for us to take as well. Mine ended up being Spiritmaster from Bravely Default, as an example.

4e worked out nicely, despite the reputation it has. It almost felt Tactics-esque in a way. Technically the game is still ongoing, but our final session is on Saturday. I'll be sad to see it go, since it's been over a year-long campaign, and it's probably my absolute favorite campaign I've been in so far, but maybe someday in the future, we'll come back to the concept of a Final Fantasy campaign.

I'm slightly interested in trying one of the many FF homebrew systems, but I've heard mixed things about most of them.

>goo girls don't have genitals
You can stick it in anywhere. Their entire body is their genitals. I just imagine the semen has to reach the slime core

All goo girls should have tits though.

Some of those are pretty fetish-y, but quite a bit better than Fran. White Mage is probably the most modest one.

I feel like it would be really easy to adapt tactics into a ttrpg
I might give that a try at some point

Jack's looking wise these days.

The sequel also added green mages.

And spellblades. Shame they also toned down the bestial aspects, like the claws.

Damn. Despite that, I think that's my favorite class design of them from what I've seen.

...

There's probably one out there already. There's a ton of FF homebrew systems, though again, I've heard mixed things about them, which was the main reason why my group decided to go with 4e instead of a dedicated system.

If you do make one though, good luck. Maybe I'd get to play it with my group someday.

I have rabbit folk, though they're Small rather than Medium-sized and hide themselves from the outside world, living in a mystically hidden enclave in the forest.
They look like halflings with some rabbity features. Never really had to flesh them out as a culture.

>Meanwhile, Veeky Forums obsesses over monster girls which explicitly HAVE animal genitals.
In the most popular monster girl manga, Monster Musume, only Centorea is confirmed to have a HORSE PUSSY. All other girls either most likely have human genitals (based on the positioning of their genitals) or confirmed human genitals. For example we never fully see Miia's genitals, but given the position of her "panties" it's almost a given she has a human vagina.

>tfw not into horse pussy but those glorious tits
Fucking Centorea.

I guess I always imagine them as being good bards or rangers. Bunny girls can be cute. This one has been one of my favourites for the past six years.

>Some of those are pretty fetish-y
you say it like its a bad thing, and viera in general are fetish material anyway

...

Of course people like bunnies, bunnies are cute.

Not at all a bad thing.

Same. She's a fun character and a titty monster, but I can't get over the horse bits.

That's some good shit.

>Implying there aren't plenty of non sexual reasons to be an animal person or dress in a skimpy outfit in a fantasy setting.
>Even if they are doing that for sexual reasons, there is no reason you shouldn't let them have their fun.

Have you ever considered that you are just a prude? Maybe you are in fact That Guy.

In my experience, prudes ruin games much quicker than fetishist, and that even the biggest perverts can easily be seared towards more reasonable solutions if you indulge them even the slightest amount. The only reason you wouldn't is if you were simply an asshole who hates fun and wants everyone to be as miserable as you, even while playing a allegedly cooperative game about a bunch of misfits teaming up to go on heroic adventures.

What even is a green mage?

>Protect
>Shell
>Tranq
>Leap
>Blind
>Oil
>Silence
>Sleep
They're date rape mages. They also wield hammers/maces.
