my dudes > your dudes

toxicrenes worth taking? kinda confused with what role they fill

explain

>Iron Warriors tactics are exactly the same as the Imperial Fists

Retreat should be D6 movement like an advance. Rolling 1 would mean the retreat fails and the oponent does D3 mortal wounds. The opponent can attempt to pursue but has to roll a D3. This means that a combat will continue if the opponent rolls a 5-6 on his D3 and you roll a 2, 3, or a 4.

What's the best imperium unit to stick in a Stormlord or other open-topped superheavy transport? Heavy weapon teams?

Maybe all the Death Guard Characters are part of other moulds and were put there because it was cheaper to fill the space with something than just leave it empty.

A lie based on a willing misunderstanding of the rules, like most early 8e troll images.

I claim this thread again in the name of bulky demonic brides.

May the generosity of chaos not be unheard by the foolish followers of the fake corpse emperor.

*blocks your path*

Only purity and faith over here

WAAC

Why didn't you open the fucking doors?

You can add new guys to your army, make up a section, wing, or new unit(s) that you'd like to see in the near future.

>My guys
Dark Angels

>What I'd like to see
A return of the Dreadwing, maybe in pure white and black armour, just big gun guys, kinda like the Aggressors or the Centurions (since according to the index we can't take either for some reason).

If you don't get out early your transport gets surrounded by a unit of hormagaunts and never disembarks

What you guys working on?
Just finished this raider. What you dudes think?

...

What specifically from RT/2E appeals to you? I'm afraid that was before I was even born.

No real role, just a token appearance.

...

>ywn use magic bestowed upon you by Tzeentch in order to disguise yourself as a cute girl
>ywn infiltrate the chambers of an inquisitor and then, at the last second, reveal your true form as a sorcerer and destroy his body with magicks beyond his imagination

>my guys

Tyranids

>what I'd like to see

Doom of Malan'tai return

Guilliman in FGO when?

inquisition acolytes? arent they cheap and can take stormbolters?

Give me ideas for obstacles an ork nob would face in his rise to power as a warboss.

>My guys
Legion of the Damned

>What I'd like to see
Their goddamned army list that was in White Dwarf back in the day instead of being only a single elite choice

The sorcerer didn't tell me too.

I'm an aryan, blonde hair and everything. They'll let through with no hassle.

Nothing beside a black templar waifu is worthy of my time, loyalist. Now if you excuse me I'll be offering blood sacrifices to khorne in exchange of muscular big dicked waifus who lift.

Overwatch being a choice on your turn where you prepared, leaving combat took Initiative tests, nearly every Fix people have come up with in th a last decade were all rule staples back then, except simultaneous bullshit.

>not turning other people into cute girls to infiltrate the inquisition without themselves even being aware of it so they can put your intricate plans into motion without anyone knowing you've already won
Do you even Hidden Ones m8?

...

The red all over is definitely stylized. Is that intentional to make it look like the Dark Eldar are tongue in cheek acknowledging that blood will get all over their armour and ship. But truth be told it looks very flat because of the monochromatism despite the highlighting. You might want to put more decals or freehand on the panels, or if you want to double down on the "we pre-painted our armour red to avoid blood stains" angle, you could put blood for the blood god on the red panels as splashes. And the poles on the barge itself might do to be a metallic or wooden colour. I don't know, sorry.

Would of preferred him being impaled on the front. That way it looks like they just did it during battle.

Working on my poxwalker horde as practice before I start on my plague marines.

It would be nice to see more wings, maybe in our codex brother.

>My guys
Tau
>What I'd like to see
Vehicle support systems again or suicide drones/suits with high mobility and mortal wounds upon destruction, could maybe even be a support system option on standard suits

What's better in a mainly Scion list, a 5 man Squad with 2 special weapons or a 10 man Squad with a vox and 4 special weapons?

Does anyone know if Crusaders/Priests can ride in Auxiliary Valkyries?

1000 game on Sunday. I've got:
DP with claws, bolter, Elixir
Lord with plasma and maybe fist
2 packs of raptors, one with plasma(drop with Lord), one with Meltas(go after the tech)
3 10-men cultist squads with a stubber in each
Havocs with lascannons

I'm also thinking about getting Arkos and making them AL. Any alternative ideas? NLs maybe? Who should I pick up in that case? A sorc?

Oh, and I'm going against DG.

Oh, good point. Having someone else turn into chaos spawn when alone with an inquisitor would be much more fun.

good point

GW is absolutely terrified of making melee armies good.

>He was a radical inquisitor
>When you reveal your true form he reveals his
>He whispers: "I'm gonna turn your boi pucci into dust"

Thats a pretty nice looking raider, could you tell me what colours did you used for it because im looking at doing my own kabal of Ynnari converts at the moment and have an idea of a dark crimson for the Drukhari part of it.

This is more in-depth criticize than the type i get on /wipg/, its kinda scary
I forgot to blackline the panels so that might be it as well
Im not super sure about the monochromatism as when i put my dudes on a black and white filter its look great if thats what you mean
Thanks for all that though, can look into it

>My guys

FUUUUCK
First time making a batrep, I'm way to slow. Dammit.

ANYWHOOT.

Admech Turn 2:
Mastermind is furious. How dare this "Draigo" simply appear out of nowhere and rally the broken Grey Knights back into an effective fighting force? This will not stand. Draigo must die, cost what it must. The artifacts must be secured. The sons of titan must perish.

He directs his Infiltrators and Rangers at the Paladins to the south, and while the Infiltrators die in the ensuing melee, they manage to kill two of the Paladins in combination with the Rangers precision.

Mastermind sends the last riders in to tie up Draigo and the Ancient, and while they will be sacrificed, both the supreme Grandmaster and the Banner are wounded in the fight. Now, Mastermind plays his final ace: a unit of destroyed Vanguard may return to the game, and plan to steal the artifacts under the Grey Knights noses with the help of the Objective secured special rule.

This would be stupid as a unit, but a self-destruct support system would be fun

What is the best way to use Black Templar Crusaders?

Do I just max them out and foot slog?

nice virgin archon!

How are you even using this site if you can't read?

Type it up before posting

The Failsafe Detonator?

Loyalist brides are best

Dark eldar are known to take back corpses both of their fallen and enemies after battle if a haemonculus asks them to, which bascially means they have to or he'll get mad and kidnap and torture them instead.
So yeah, they usually put them on poles or on the spikes on side and drive home. Heres another raider I have with a corpse
Black spraypaint primer
Khorne Red
Nuln oil
Re-basecoat khorne red leaving where shade has settled
Wazdakka red edge
Wild rider red super fine edge

>My guys
Necrons

>What I'd like to see
Viability when codex hits. Hoping for upper-mid tier, will be fine with mid tier

>My guys
119th Cadains

>What I'd like to see
More named units. Maybe a named Ratling.

I'd kill for that model, shame I cant find it for cheap

The onagers fire at the last paladins in the ruins bringing them down to one remaining member, who is slain by the plasma gun of a heroic Vanguard. Another Onager with an Icarus array adjusts its doctrina imperatives and unleashes a flurry of missles that annihilate the last Purgation Squad. Draigo and the Ancient are on their own for now, the Landraider is to far away to support them currently.

>My guys
Thousand Sons

>What I'd like to see
Psy-automata, Sorcerer Dreadnoughts and hopefully a codex that isn't shit.

>Framed for eating the Boss' prize attack Squig, manages to get off the hook by framing his main rival
>Has his favorite choppa stolen, must infiltrate den of grots to get it back
>Boss thinks the Nob is getting too big for his boots, orders him on successively more suicidal missions, Nob emerges each time with more glory
>Space Marine scout stalks Nob for weeks, each time he lines up a killshot something happens to foil the shot, Nob gains reputation as Weirdboy since the heads of nearby Greenskins keep exploding in his vicinity
>Falls into drops, gains loyalty of gretchin that live inside, convinces them to lead an uprising, brutally crushes uprising to show loyalty and strength
>Gifts Warboss with new suit of Mega Armour, Boss doesn't know that the suit has a remote-controlled over-ride function. Nob uses his remote controlled Warboss to knock off his rivals, starting with the Mek who designed the armour

Looks well done but it's pretty flat on the red and the metal on the tail end.
Needs some more shade in the lines between panels.

Other Nobz, trying to lead the other Orks, being brutally cunning or cunningly brutal enough to rise to the top.

>not pic related

I am currently learning how to photograph minis. These are the sergeants of my Tactical squads from the first one on the left to the most recent on the right.
Pls no Antarctica

it's not thar in the OP

>Boss thinks the Nob is getting too big for his boots, orders him on successively more suicidal missions, Nob emerges each time with more glory

>Hercules with Orks

I need this

you need better lighting, put a light source on them. not flash

tau

enclaves stuff

>My guys
Dark eldar

>What I'd like to see
New versions of the venom & raider, which are identical to the current rules except they have transport capacities of 6 and 11 respectively. Yes, that sounds lame/boring, but you'd be surprised how many problems it solves.

I ask again, how are you even talking to me when you are clearly either blind or illiterate?

Yea i know I dont have a lamp or anything to use on them. I have been trying with a Hand Flash light. But it doesnt seem to be working very well.

...

yeah but as a regular suit/vehicle option, FSD was limited to one per army before

>>My guys
Dark Eldar

>What I'd like to see
Our war gear back and different kabals

Take looksy on recaster sites, I now Miranda has it pretty cheap

It's probably best that way. They're Tau, not Orks.

>Dark Eldar
>The characters we lost
and/or
>Vect's wraith constructs

Wanting to run an Inquisition Storm Trooper army and made this list up for 2k. Thoughts?

I have a 1250 version of it with no Tauros or Taurox and a few less troopers, but I felt like this was a decent step up.

>What is the best way to use Black Templar Crusaders?

Really depends on what you want them to do.

Shooty squads? 5 man with a heavy is good, specialist weapon is optional and so is giving your sword brother a combi but its a good idea imo.
Stabby squads? 10 man with a power weapon and a power weapon sergeant, specialist weapon is optional. Rhino is a must and if you take a Land Raider youre a cool dude but Rhinos can do the same job for cheaper though dont bring as much firepower.

Running them as big hordes can be fun BUT it depends on your meta because its a very binary in that you run forward, reach the target and kill shit or dont reach anything and get blown the fuck out before doing anything. There is no middle ground with that list and if you run that take Grimaldus and Servitors.

Deep striking terminators are also a good addition as an option for turn 1 charges or general distraction for your other shit to breathe and do stuff.

Good idea, I'll do that next time.
Grey Knights Turn 3:
Draigo sees but one option - he must engage the Vanguard squad and secure the relics, lest they swoop in and steal it. The Mechanicus heavy firepower is still alive, and while the Raider still lives, there's no telling how long that will last.
Draigo orders his remaining Brothers, while wounded, to fire at the encroaching Vanguard while he assaults them in melee. Suddenly, he sees a weak spot in Masterminds plan! The Techpriest has exposed himself to the damaged dreadnought Kronos, believing him tied down by another unit of vanguard. With a few psyichic smites and soulpurging, Kronos is free of the vanguard squad bogging him down. He is furious, and he knows but one enemy to unleash his hatred on: Mastermind himself, the one who orchestrated the death of his Grandmaster.
In a final confrontation, the dreadnought and mastermind face off in the streets. In the end, Kronos stands triumphant over the corpse of the Techpriest, yet his mind is too far gone to ever recover.

Thanks for the feedback, gonna try to blackline it a bit and then get it ready for games.

Dont forget to use the Special back drop that is better than just plain white

How is BL going to fuck it up?

>This is more in-depth criticize than the type i get on /wipg/, its kinda scary
WIP is shit, the general of the game you're playing (unless it's historical or in the earliest stages) is a better bet, or else somewhere else entirely.

Anyway, in this picture the ship looks better, but since the same colour scheme is all over the ship and the figures, it creates a visual "sink" where attention isn't being drawn to the figures and key points of the ship.
So you *might* want to try putting more noticeable highlights on the figures, because from the infantry on their own bases it does appear to me that you could make the edges of the plates/scales on the armour much "sharper" with highlights. The ship's red is sufficiently highlighted on the flat panels, though on the hand rails and on the centre prow of the ship you might get away with putting the highlight on more.
So I would suggest considering:
>brightening the eyes, weapons, and non-red colours of the figures
>making the edge highlights on the figures more noticeable
>Putting decals or freehand on the panels of the ship to break up the colour. I would say white, possibly combined with black as on the sail, would be the best colour. Be careful if you're freehanding, be sure what you want to do first.
>Highlight the astrogranite bases of the figures. I have bases the same as this and I needed to put a drybrushing on it. Duncan basically says it's mandatory on texture bases, and you can use shades of browns and greens to add depth to the texture base too. For this particular paint scheme you don't need it to bee too bright, just creating contrast.
Good luck, good work so far.

>My guys
Mantis Warriors
>What I'd like to see
Some goddamn tactics

Horus beats the Emperor but has a change of heart, is about to shake off Chaos and be redeemed and save the Imperium when Oll Persson backstabs and kills him.

>BULKY
>SWEATY
>DEMONIC
>BRIDES

How can loyalist femlets even compete ?

You are using the index points costs for Tempestus units, which will change tommorow. Probably want to get the new costs before you finalise lists.

Epilogue that reveals horus was actually infected by a genestealer, with a post script note by the author that informs the reader that nids are the only true antagonists of the 40k universe and always have been.

>As horus Slays Sanguinius, Sanguinius looks up at him and says "I Always knew you were better brother and The Emperor is going to destroy humanity"

On the subject of Tau Sigs. I bet

Multi Spectrum-Aura buff with ignore cover
C&C-Aura buff, ignore negative modifiers
Iridium- +1T and 2+ armour
Neuroweb-Aura, enemies within 12'' suffer mortals when rolling 1's
Failsafe-Upon death, enemy units within 6'' suffer d3 mortals

Reveals that Horus is the one on the Throne and the Emperor died.
