Given that, in lore, 4 Tenno can purge a ship of over 100 Grenier Marines in about 10 minutes, how would they fare on the battlefield of 40K, pitted against anything short of a Knight Titan?

About as well as four Eversor assassins.
Except they are all also Psykers.

>only 100 in 10 minutes
It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure I remember killing about that much solo as a mid level character when I tried the game out.

They also have better guns, which is a big plus I think.

depends on the tenno, nidus is going to last a lot longer than mag for example

and when they go down, if one of them is still up, that one can revive all the others. Also, they can fight in space. So thats a thing.

>Grenier Marines
Attic marines? That's a very specific specialisation.

>A couple Frost put up igloos
>Sit inside the dome and let all the various 40k armies come to them
>repeat until all targets eliminated

>a Knight Titan
a what now?
yes, it's autism

Do their weapons count as power weapons, or just absurdly good weapons wielded by humanoids stronger than two Catachans?
If not, they'd get hung up a lot more as they fight heavily armored soldiers, especially marines. Terminators would be a hell of a counter to them, as well as most armored vehicles.

Actually if they get dropped off in a right spot, they could probably sabotage or take over a titan.

Also the lovely pair of Saryn and Nidus could probably bring a lot of nurglings along with them (Being bringers of disease and infestation and all)

I would argue terminators would be there favorite target - as they are much more mobile and could probably sneak up to one and steal there power supply or backstab them.

And if go with logic of plasma=power weapons, then they have them, yes

Some of their weapons are simply bladed, some are energized. Their ranged weapons are able to shoot through heavy armour however, or at least break it down quickly. They regularly fight against heavily armoured opponents.

Corrosive procs are really good at stripping armor. In-game it's just numbers increasing, but in the 40k verse that can be ceramite armor being dissolved off.

Im pretty sure a Nova or Mesa could grind through multiple 100s of Grenier Marines in minutes.
Hell an Ember running and burning everything from one end of the ship to the other in 10 minutes alone.
It all really depends on the Warframe, Loki could just "nothing personal kid" everything and never be seen

I will add that some can outright "steal" armor from enemies, like Mag, or yes corrode them like saryn

Hell, Volt would have a field day with Imperial Guard/Orks/Tyranids. Tons of weaker targets able to be vapourised quickly.

I think orks would be more of embers or nidus forte, as they are ones that love huge masses of enemies, and in Nidus case, more foes he fights, stronger he gets.

Design a Four 'Frame Team for each mission. Maximum cheese encouraged.

>Exterminate: Ork WAAGH
>Assassinate: Avatar of Khaine
>Survival: Spinter Hive Fleet
>Defense: Imperial Guard
>Spy: Farsight's Enclave

in lore?
would just get blown up by ordnance after several minutes, would do well against infantry and possibly power armour, a russ would just knock it out of the park and aircraft are solid rape, also I feel like marines>grineer, especially in speed and power, with marines cqc being very rapey compared to grinner imo

I mean Vauban's singularity ball would crush a lot of things, sure it doesn't do big numbers in the game, but its still crushing all the enemies in a singularity.

All the different warframes are 1 man armies. In theory they could take over any ship without ever being seen, or kill all the survivors and be gone within an hour.

I'm not sure they can deal with extremely heavy armor. Ruk, Krill, and Hek are unable to be hurt except from sweet spots.

for orks is kind of simple:
Trinitry and 3 Embers
Or 4 Niduses

Survival: Ivara x 4 - they would just not get seen

Defence:
Nidus, Frost, Trinitry, and someone for damage

Spy: Ivara's again.

I say the more elite an army gets the easier time a Tenno will have, as their physical capabilities, void powers and equipment heavily outclass everything but the most elite of 40k infantry-scale combatants (I'm talking Chapter Masters, Warbosses ect.).

Due to this I'd say the best way to deal with Tenno in the 40k universe would be to just throw bodies at them until eventually SOMETHING hits and they stop moving, or simply apply warmachines and monsters that Tenno simply are not made to deal with, such as Tanks and Carnifexes.

So either send in the Guard, let Orks loot their gubbinz or let the Nids nom them.

I wonder what would actually happen if the Tyranids ate a Warframe, since at that point they'd become exposed to the Infestation...

Spy: Loki, Ash, Mirage, Ivara
Assassinate: Ivara, Loki, mesa, Valkyr

>Exterminate
Ember, Ember, Ember, Trinity
>Assassinate
Atlas, Atlas, Atlas, Marneus Calgar
>Survival
Nidus, Trinity, Nekros, Frost?
>Defense
Frost, Nidus, Trinity, Nova
>Spy
Ivara, Ivara, Ivara, Ivara

It'd be like the Yarglmesh(?) Genestealers. A bad strain, not re-absorbed into the fold.
Or the hive mind, having spent a gorrilian years tampering with DNA that is far more dangerous laughs at the attempt.

Well nidus is kind of like that, I wouldn't be surprised if exposure to it would lead to chaos corrupted infested nids

>Alad V found dead after erection lasts longer than four hours

Actually frames will be adapted to fight big things soon (Hint hint, Planes of Eidelon)

That is what archwings are for after all.

What COULDN'T tenno take in 40k, given how obscenely bullshit everything they fight is? I'm not convinced that a strike team couldn't take down a titan given enough time

I think titan is kind of easy, because after you get in, it's easy mode to clear it's insides

Is there shiny loot? They kill as many as it takes to take the loot and fuck off to somewhere where there's more shiny loot.

>more foes he fights, stronger he gets.
You sure he isn't actually an ork that went through a warp rift and ended up in another universe?

So after a while they would ally with orks and we would have orks that mimic tenno?

Which when you think about it is kind of horrifying - ork ninjas with rokkit launchas

>Point a magnet in the direction of any 'Frame and it is totally disabled
Wow so powerful.

>Mekboy gets his hands on a pre-nerf tonkor

>No, ya git!
>Youz gotta crowch, den slide, den git stuck in.
>Why?
>Cuz it looks flash an' choppin while crouchin' 'urts more.
>Now git killin' and git lootan! I gots to kraft me a Choppa Prime!

>pre-nerf tonkor
;_; tfw it's dead forever

>Planes of Eidelon
Oh, yeah.
PoE next week, Woo-Hoo!

Mag Prime would be GOAT though. I miss the lore snippets Primes had in the codex, they were cool

fuckin what
>BOSS, BOSS! BARO GIT'TEEF IS HERE!
i miss it too, but it was so ridiculously OP it single-handedly shat on weapon diversity
we space attack on titan now, boys

Points magnet at any techpriest and most techmarines

>Youz gotta crowch, den slide, den git stuck in.
I assume they finally patched out the whole jump, crouch, slide, attack, go flying across the room at the speed of light thing.

I believe he would be more like a tzeench or nurgle corrupted genestealer ork hybrid

Yeah, Parkour 2.0 killed coptering. Now we have bullet jumping instead.

>fuckin what
magnetic procs drain energy to 0

they're fucked unless they have pancakes.

Source this looks cool...wait...is that the new warframe comics?

>Exterminate
Nidus, Banshee P., Trinity P., Vauban P.
>Assassinate
Banshee P., Nova P., Mag P., Rhino P.
>Survival
Nidus, Rhino P., Trinity P., Nekros P.
>Defense
Frost P., Vauban P., Trinity P., Mag P.
>Spy
Literally anyone, you fucking scrubs. How do people manage to fuck these missions up. The only way I've been detected on one of these is when I bring a syndicate proc by accident.
That said,
Volt P., Loki P., Ivara, Valkyr P.

>implying your average frame needs energy to murderhobo the fuck out of most universes
>where we're going we won't need eyes to see

You still keep the armor, and shields....and health....and your weapons...so for some frames that is not a problem

>is that the new warframe comics?
Yes. There's a free preview of most of the first issue floating around the internet, I went and bought one because I figure with 1300+ hours played DE deserves however much of my $5 they get from it.
Lotus sends Mag to go help Excal

By the way when we compare grineer to things from 40k, aren't they just cross of space marines and imperial guard? They wear heavy armor, use all kinds of weapons, come in drowes and also come in female variety (Also they are made same way Death korp kriegers are pretty much)

>You drop a second dream-level WHAT THE FUCK reveal on your players
What is it? How do they react?

They aren't meaty enough to be SM, they're more uparmored guard than anything.

Well they are only half the size I meant, something that less then a space marine, but comes in greater numbers

>Hey kid, wanna /ss/?

Guard in Carapace Armor

So...adeptus aribites? you know the guys that can beat up space marines

I have no idea where you heard this, but it was either incorrect or the exception, not the rule.

They are like the humans Horus meets who have the Power Armour STC, but no genetic manipulation. Or SoB

>no genetic manipulation
A grineer biology textbook would be approximately three pages long.
Page one would praise the queens.
Page two would be the author's name and rank.
Page three would be a picture of a grineer marine crudely circled in crayon with "TUMOR" written next to it.

Well I was referring to the humans in the Horus heresy, but your point still stands. They were normal humans in SM style armour, with some of the more complex systems stripped out.

They get mad at me for making the potatoes ugly shits instead of actually cute lolis/shota

Tenno squads would be a lot like how Space Marine squads are typically used in fluff.

Insert them behind enemy lines, they fuck up critical things to make the fight easier for the people doing the main fighting. I have no clue what a tenno army would be like, to my knowledge the only information we have on massed tenno action was the time they killed the Orokin, and that was a slaughter, not a battle.

>tenno phalanx

I don't think Tenno ever could be an army. There are, maybe, 1000 of them at the end of the current timeline in the game. All the children that survived from one colony ship, and also could make the cut to be Tenno.
They're supposed the be individuals. Each needs to be able to survive on their own, maybe contribute to a Cell or Clan.

There wouldn't be an army to fight. Your ships in space would stop responding, and you'd lose contact with camps and forts on the ground. By the time most commanders realize it is a battle, the war would be over.

Even when they killed the Orokin, it was sudden, unexpected, and completely one-sided. They didn't even have time to mobilize their army.

This. Given how good Tenno are at infiltrating (Their personal ships literally are able to get down to a planets surface, into a base and leave without being intercepted) if an army arrayed itself for battle, chances are that the Tenno would simply launch an attack at night, from inside the enemy camp.

Could I get few quotes of that? I know that happened I just need some for later when 40k armor threads come up

So, given what we have so far:

>Tenno chase infected through Void portal, end up in 40K
>Cannot be killed by anything short of a Baneblade and only in open combat
>Essentially have free reign if they pick their battles
>Kill Avatars, Warbosses, and Bio-titans. Aquire loot
>Ork Klan reveres them, becomes a Klan of Clems
>Tyranids eat infection, become a chaos infected Tyranid hybrid double hivemind
>Space Marines stop sending Kill teams, sick of losing men and getting looted by Ninja Blood Ravens
>Eldar realise they will never be fast enough
>Tzeetch Shits himself
>Nurgle is jovially drowning in toxic and viral procs
>Tau stay irrelevant
>Ends with exterminatus
I miss anything so far?

The man smiled, pleased at the courtesy. ‘Then if you will permit me, I will introduce myself. I am Emory Salignac, Fabricator Consul to the Auretian Technocracy. On behalf of my people, may I be the first to welcome you to our worlds.’

Loken had seen Regulus’s excitement at the sight of Salignac’s augmetics, but upon hearing the full title of this new empire, his enthusiasm overcame the protocol of the moment.

‘Consul,’ said Regulus, his voice blaring and unnatural. ‘Do I understand that your society is founded on the knowledge of technical data?’

Horus turned to the adept of the Mechanicum and whispered something that Loken didn’t hear, but Regulus nodded and took a step back.

‘I apologize for the adept’s forthright questions, but I hope you might forgive his outburst, given that our warriors appear to share certain… similarities in their wargear.’

‘These are the warriors of the Brotherhood,’ explained Salignac. ‘They are our protectors and our most elite soldiers. It honours me to have them as my guardians here.’

‘How is it they are armoured so similarly to my own warriors?’

Salignac appeared to be confused by the question and said, ‘You expected something different, my lord Warmaster? The construct machines our ancestors brought with them from Terra are at the heart of our society and provide us with the boon of technology. Though advanced, they do tend towards a certain uniformity of creation.’

The silence that greeted the consul’s words was brittle and fragile, and Horus held up his hand to still the inevitable outburst from Regulus.

‘Construct machines?’ asked Horus, a cold edge of steel in his voice. ‘STC machines?’

‘I believe that was their original designation, yes,’ agreed Salignac, lowering his staff and holding it towards the Warmaster.

Its in False Gods

Horus then fights the Technocracy in a 10 month war, then uses all the captured STC's to bribe half the Mechanicum into siding with him.

Yeah all while the pesky ninja blood ravens loot ships to hide in.

Thanks guys
