"Red sky at night, sailor's delight, red sky in the morning, sailor's warning."

They are cursed to exist in the twilight as the day turns to dusk. There, they kill, as it is the only way they can have some fleeting revenge on the world they were cursed in.

The second they step on land wherever they are is beset by awful storms.

Being unable to touch anything gold.

Being constantly haunted by a ticking sea monster.

Any theme or direction for said curses?

pirate enemies to run into and then away from on the open seas
or to find abandoned in treasure caves

> Curse of Golden Greed
Anything gold they touch crumbles to dust.

>Curse of the Deckhands Despair
Any children fathered by the victim are doomed to gruesome deaths before the age of

Undead pirates who can only cling on the underside of ships, hoping to climb aboard in the middle of the night and steal the bodies of those aboard.

They do this by crawling inside their sleeping mouths and eating them from the inside out.

Do you mean curse as in, they're cursed? Or curses as in expletives?

>Curse of the Three Winds
The Captain of the ship discovered a powerful artifact and bound one of the Four Winds Deities (The Anemoi) to his control, and uses to always grant the ship a favorable wind.
This also grants his ship limited flight when travelling in the direction of the captured wind. However the three remaining wind spirits send storms to hamper him and attack the ship.
The Captain himself and the crew seem to becoming partly ethereal, and find their hands passing through things they wish to touch - namely treasure and at times are unable to set foot upon natural earth. Finding themselves blown back into the water, towards their ship.

>Curse of Bountiful Bloodlust
A Pirate who wished to be the most dangerous and brutal pirate who ever lived has afflicted his crew with an insatiable bloodlust that takes over them the moment they set eyes upon any other ship they see.
Sure they have won countless battles due to their ruthless and murderous bloodllust, but their number is growing smaller and smaller and they know that if they dock anywhere it's likely that they couldn't stop themselves until they slaughtered the entire port or died themselves and thus must stay at sea.

>Curse of Forewarning
No matter where the Pirates sail, their would be victims are granted 24 hours forewarning by means of prophetic visions.
Not all of their victims pay attention to these visions, but some do and that makes their job much harder.

>Curse of the Lifted Curse.
In exchange for the removal of their last curse, the pirates accepted a new curse, which prevents them from using any curse words or insults. If they attempt to, they instead say childish placeholder swear words, or compliments.

They can perfectly understand the language of all sea creatures--even barnacles. Now they're surrounded by chitters, giggles, and voices in the night, where there once was only the gentle sound of waves and creak of timber, and sleep evades them. Each fish and mollusc they pull up shrieks and curses at them. Most people they're a bit mad.

More inconvenient/gross than cool:
-Regardless of how far inland they go, they will constantly trail seawater behind them. When standing still, it will begin to pool at their feet.
-Small crabs or sea lice crawl out of their mouth whenever they go to sleep, at a rate of around 1-4 creatures per minute.

>Curse of the Adversary
You are being hunted. A great beast skulks the waters in your wake, waiting for your ship to slow for even a moment. Pray the winds never die, and to dock would be a death sentence. Sometimes, late at night as you lay awake in your cabin, you can hear a muffled ticking sound echoing somewhere in the distance.

>the curse of never landing
They cant find their home isle or destination tey want to land at. Maybe like ulysses.

>the curse of thirst
They feel always thirsty. Like everything they drink is saltwater, so they tend to drink constantly. Only the clever ones learn to behave, the others drink themself to death.

>the curse of gayness
When they are too long on a journey, they cant feel horny with women. Only person with a dick gets them hard. They are torn between what they like, women, and what they dont prefer but make them rock hard, dicks. Only pegging by a trap may break that curse.

The cursed find their bodies gradually being covered with barnacles and coral. It's grafted to their skin so removing any growths will hurt them. If they don't break their curse they will eventually become vaguely human statues.

All alcohol (or drink in general) becomes seawater to the cursed individual.

The cursed are incapable of leaving their ship/set foot on land.

Those who have truly angered the sea, if they drown, find themselves coming back as waterclogged zombies who constantly feel like they are drowning. Only way for them to find relief is to drown others and steal their air.

The cursed find himself slowly being turned into a parrot/monkey/cat/appropriate pirate pet.

The curse of being stuck in a ghost story.

how do you acquire food or do any pirate stuff like bury treasure/raid ships

>Curse of the Hourglass.
Each time the Captain turns the hourglass, at the next sunset the ship finds itself thrown through time and space, arriving at a different point in Earth's history where they proceed to plunder ancient cities, or lay low from armadas of futuristic ships. The amount of sand within the hourglass lessens each time it's used and when it runs out they will be stuck where they land.

>the curse of gayness
lol

>The Gargoyle Curse
The Pirates and ship have powerful wings and claws, however they turn to stone in sunlight. When stone, the ship generates a slight fog, that may make it appear to be a rocky outcrop in the ocean, however the ships true nature is visible upon closer inspection.

>Infernal Curse
The crew are condemned to hell, but their suffering will be lessened by an equal amount of suffering they cause upon the Earth,

The crew can only sail along rivers, lakes and fresh water sources. If they sail upon salt water they feel agony and continue to mutate into horrible crocodilian monsters.

They crew were cursed to become shark people, living only underwater and forever guarding the shipwreck of their vessel filled with treasure.

Cursed to never find land again.

They have been out on the sea for years, any since that wretched day EVERYTHING they have eaten and used has been stolen from other ships. In some cases, they have even been forced to change ships when their own becomes too broken down to repair without a dock.

They were not even pirates when the curse was laid on them, but they have been forced to become pirates to survive.

Curse of legion.

The pirate crew has become amalgamated into a single hive mind. Each body retains autonomy, but the entire horde shares experiences. Over time, they amalgamate together with the ship, becoming a horrible living weapon, juicy bits all writhing together and whatnot.

This is a curse for traitors and deserters, and can only be activated by a marooned captain to punish his treacherous crew. The curse can only be lifted if the crew finds the bones of their captain and buries them in the place of their captian's birth.

They can only set foot on land three times - if after the third time, they set sail again in any way, they will meet their demise during that trip. Make it so the curse is on the ship, so newbies were warned beforehand, and there's proper send-off for those who either went forever landlubber or taking their fourth and final trip.

All at once

Cursed to only speak in curses
