I'd start by not making them look like Angela Anaconda

I make them cute. Really, really cute.

I really like how Lwa did it.

Make them enormous, bestial bodies, with huge friendly old granny faces. Think Vicar Amelia, but with the face of Betty White.

What about sexy bestial bodies?

They're in-universe DMs

More reserved for succubi and the like.

Planescape hags?

You probably can't pull off even a standard witch well.

I can't seem to find any pictures of what you mean. But I mean like this but with a different face.

Have their power come from a disease that kills you horribly 89% of the time and gives witch powers only to 6% of the victims.

Witches are now hermits banned from society and the only people who visit them are extremely desperate for magical help.

>Think Vicar Amelia, but with the face of Betty White.
I'd rather stop it at Vicar Amelia

Tie them to a wooden stake and set them alight then pray for their souls.

...

You go back to witch classic.

FUGG, I thought I'd saved the part where they're tied to stakes and set on fire. Well, I dun goofed.

>tainting Vicar Amelia with your granny fetish
No thanks.

french and just-legal

Nothing to do with a fetish, I just like the disconnect between a friendly, harmless face on the end of a terrifying, deformed beast.

They dont actually have any magical powers at all, but are instead skilled herbalists in a setting where the plants have magical properties. They use herbalism and alchemy to create powerful potions which give them all of their "powers". However, surpassing their limits with these potions takes a toll on their physical forms over time.

If you're going for an anime spin, add a random noun of the front of 'witch' and interpret it in the most literal way possible.
If you're going for a normal spin, witches are at their freshest when done traditionally.

Either play them totally straight as a feared, hated medieval thing, or make them into celebrities in their local communities as a result of their powers and wisdom.

You make them old hags that kidnap children, fly riding brooms and making weird potions inside a cauldron.

>or make them into celebrities
Witch idols?

Make them first-rate Druids instead of second-rate Wizards.

sauce?

Jesus christ how dare you make me remember that. In vengeance, have this.
youtube.com/watch?v=NGFKaMsigok

Ok, it has an Eye-patch Wolf, which I admit sparks my interest. Is the show any good?

Do you like tall girls and gentle femdom?

Like sorceress from Dragon's Crown

Witch Craft Works. It's about a slightly more useless than average harem protagonist and a bunch of high power magic waifus

Stop shilling your shitty blog.

All powerful and adorable.

Better than any of the shit suggested so far

Yes and... maybe.

Like I'll ever click that shit. Either post what you want here or fuck off

The witches in my setting derive their power from drinking large amounts of horse semen.

Magic doesn't exist and witches are simply doctors and chemists brewing medicine.

I've always been a really big fan of witches, especially how they cross over with the interpretation of hags from D&D. Wicked and cruel; capable of some really malevolent stuff despite their often unassuming appearances.

I remember reading this book series called Spook's Apprentice when I was younger. The series wasn't really that good, but the main antagonist witches were pretty cool - their magic was subtle and never explained that clearly, but there was a sense that they were capable of some very terrible things.

The concept of vile women living on the edge of society, making pacts with demonic things, and having wild ceremonies in the woods has always been a concept that I've appreciated. They are excellent low-level 'Halloween' type enemies to challenge PCs with, especially in wilderness campaigns.

I tried to start reading that book series and immediately ran into a wall because of how dry and amateurish the writing is. Wish I had read it as a kid, when I didn't have standards.

so they're like /mlp/

That's like the only time when you can read them, unfortunately. I'm glad I read them, though I would probably never read them again. His witches make pretty good enemies.

I recall that they did this thing called "sniffing", where they could either detect danger, or predict the future or something. I've been wanting for some time to do an adventure where the PCs are stuck in the hinterlands of some larger kingdom as the last hope of a few villages. They would have a super-detailed map of a fifty-mile region dotted with hamlets and notable locations, and have to try and track down some nasty creature they had awakened by accident while exploring ruins.

I could have the overlap between outdoors survival I've been aching for, and those more fun natural enemies: witches, werewolves, fairies, etc. Kind of like PCs versus the Beast of GĂ©vaudan type deal.

technically she's 127 yo or something, IIRC.
Cancrelune best girl

/Mlp/ doesn't do it for the magic powers, they're just a side effect

They're not people, they're fragments of primordial chaos. They take many forms and act as a subtle force of nature, rather than individuals with goals. They commonly request seemingly inane tasks that unravel something greater with its consequences.

>make them fucking terrifying, disigured and misshapen with horrible unholy magic crossing into the realm of body horror
or
>make them historically accurate, so old women who just happen to know a bit about herbs and poisons and use it to their advantage
or
>fully represent the christian idea of witches, so women who worship the devil in exchange for powers, demonic servants disguised as animals etc.

>Angela Anaconda
Wasn't as bad as Mega Babies. Still bad though.

The easiest way to put a fresh spin on a witch is to play her straight.

An insatiable lust for shota?

Why do old women make the best abominations?

I remember the one enemy, the bane or someyhing would just flatten you on the wall or the ground. Just slowly press you to death against some stones. Brutal.

really old people already tend to look a bit creep, and old women have the element of having once been young and pretty, which makes them sexually disturbing and maybe a bit tragic

old people are also the closest thing we have to the undead

>so cute that they create a pedopilia rape cult

I want to fug this witch

Yeah no fuck that pic.

You have no power here, demon.

I really like this idea, but have it as a Lich-like transformation for elder witches. Stolen my dude.

Blue board, user. No unbirthing, please.

It's just a friendly spanking

Make them more appealing by pouring sand over them, then they become sandwiches.

what is the context of all of this now?

Junji Ito and his wacky horror hijinks

Wait, really? This looks signifigantly different than his other works.

Not Junji Ito, some Korean web comic where the artist pens what he imagines before sleep

unomoralez.com/img.html?cid=2&offset=13

Not all are SFW

Take the magic away and make them all about beer.

Clearly not.

Combo local doctor/vet/soothsayer/advice person

bonus points if you have the villagers be afraid of her and her completely valid advice

"Horse isnt going lame, just give it a few days off. No I didnt curse your horse"

"Dont build your house there, its too close to the river and it floods easily during a heavy rain...no that spot isnt cursed why would I do that?"

"Ergot rot got into the grain, gotta burn it all. Hey dont blame me I wanted fresh bread, I didnt do anything to it"

"I TOLD YOU TO CHANGE THE BANDAGES ON THAT CUT EVERY DAY, WHY DIDNT YOU?"

>unomoralez.com/img.html?cid=2&offset=13
Thank you very much user. I'll give this a look at.

>make them fucking terrifying, disigured and misshapen with horrible unholy magic crossing into the realm of body horror
>or
>make them historically accurate, so old women who just happen to know a bit about herbs and poisons and use it to their advantage
>or
>fully represent the christian idea of witches, so women who worship the devil in exchange for powers, demonic servants disguised as animals etc.
I'd add:
>or
>spellcasting femme fatales and temptresses with their particular brand of wisdom and secret knowledge

Then mix and match the four options according to your particular needs and tastes.

user, I consider myself something of an expert on spanking, and I'm displeased to inform you that your picture does NOT qualify as such.

>Pacific Rim propaganda poster on the wall

Emperor's Teeth! I have that on a T-shirt!

fine how they are

...

Begone from this realm, demon spawn.

What about celebrity witches that maybe you should hate and fear after all?

But Shiny Chariot is for hugs and loves.
Who cares if she almost blew up the Moon after stealing latent magic from the muggle masses?

Sure, she didn't push people to war like a certain techno-witch, but she still pulled some damn shady stuff to get her way.

But that's fine if she's cute.

She gets even cuter when she gets older.

slow down nerds than can only be one best LWA

Indeed, and it appears you posted the wrong image. Let me help you out.

constanze x sucy is canon, you can tag along

Thanks Satan, that whole class is gay now.

It didn't go so well for the last guy.

Maybe!
I mean, it depends on if she's going to murder me!
Fuckin' hot though.

Looking at the porn, it seems that being gay is a requirement for enrolling at Luna Nova
