Autistic gunsmith

Half-orc whaler who attempts to buy her beloved's love with a Killer Shark's liver.

> with a Killer Shark's liver
Orc courting rituals are weird

I'm gonna play a witch granny.
Going to find her granddaughter who for some reason didn't come visit her this month.

I want to play as a shepherd. He used to play flute while sitting on a tree stump, his herd and earth spirits enjoyed listening to his music. But one day his stump got cut, so he got sad and started crying (He is very childlike and sincere person). The earth spirits got sad and decided to help him, but all they could do is teach him to make a stump-like cone out of ground. When he managed to do it, he realised its too cold to sit on compared to what he had before, so he decided to become an adventurer. He trained to make ''stumps'' for few months, so now they grow fast enough to grow it under a person which is standing (He can stop a wizard from channeling his spell by growing this stump under his legs, making him fall or forcing him to fall back). He can also make ''dirt boys'' out of these stumps. Imagine funny small fat humanoids made of dirt, they can grapple people etc. For example, he sees a mage, makes a ''stump'' grow under him, and then he transforms this stump into a ''dirt boy'', so now this dirt boy is trying to hug (or choke) this mage.
This is my idea for lvl 1 character, but I have no idea what system to use for him.
On higher levels, I imagine he would create some giant rock elemental and use it like mech.

Thinking of characters who are less 'fighty'.

Playing a mailman might be fun.
Yeah, just a mailman, it might be a terrible idea in a setting like ours but in a setting with dragons, bandits and magical boxes (who under no circumstance should be opened!) playing the guy whose main point is delivering messages between one city to another might actually be exciting.

There are limitations though:
*Minimal fighting ability- I bet the guy has a nightstick and once had to smack a wolf off his boot but we're not talking a full time warrior
*Impressive capability in 'Ride' because the guy uses mounts
*Familiarity with many languages - only familiarity though, he can recognize stuff but he is not a linguist
*AND MOST OF ALL: Professional. Rain, sleet or fire breathing dragons this letter is getting delivered. I want my guy to take his job seriously, insanely seriously even. If the recipient is a demon, then we are going to hell!
*So of course he has to be a dwarf.

A roller blading pizza delivery girl in mid 90s New York.

The pizza place's owner is an abrasive but kind-hearted vampire.

>I summon stumpy!
No seriously....it sounds like an OP-AF chosen-soul of some nature good.
NERF PLZ!

.....I'm not sure I wanna buy a pizza from a vampire....no matter how 'kind-hearted' he is.

Plague doctor/surgeon wizard speciazling in necromancy. Wants to study the various anatomies and physiologies of all the various races and how they can be improved/changed/fixed with necromancy magic. Was kicked out if medical school for this and now conducts his research in the field. Joins the group to help further his research in more dangerous fields. Character kind of inspired by the Medic from TF2.

Depends on how much you like garlic on your pizza

I like this character a lot.

>just a mailman

How is he op? Please elaborate. His skills look weaker than spells druid in dnd has, I would only call him strong since he has big potential. And no, he is not chosen, he just has strong intuition and reconnects with nation due to his sincere emotions

Storm cleric who's village and family were killed by a massive storm, where he was actually struck and scarred by lighting. After being taken in and raised by the local temple of Thor he has become a cleric and has unshakeable faith in his dirty, as he has seen his power firsthand. But he also has a hatred and and fear of the god as a result. Sets up an interesting dichotomy I think.

*tempest cleric

*his deity

Fuck I need to stop mobile posting

A LE Monk who tries to balance the duality between good and evil by murdering people

>GM tries to make a communist paradise
>First character dies
>New character is a "Paladin of the Golden Coin"
>Go around funding personal business' of NPC's
>Sponsoring Capitalist Representative Democracies
>Support Independence from Monarchies and Collectavists
>Foster and fund Militant groups if people fuck with my groups

Fuck you greg. College has perverted you into a filthy socialist. I must correct it.

>>Support Independence from Monarchies
You have no idea how monarchies actually are to counter commie shit. Monarchy is about social hierarchy, direct opposite of egalitarian shit

a black witch hunter, a bitch hunter if you will

A detective, probably a minor noble in his own right, who offers his services to aristocrats and townsfolk. His speciality? Prying the truth from layers of folklore and superstition. Seeks out reports of supernatural phenomena and attempts to debunk them.

His motivation stems from an encounter he had with a party of adventurers in a nearby town. Reports come in of undead haunting the graveyard, and a group of adventurers set up shop, claiming they would settle the issue. The nobleman, cautious of these strangers and affectionate towards the townsfolk, decides to investigate the matter.

Turns out the adventurers were orchestrating a fake haunting; on the eve of the Climactic Battle, PC reveals their ruse by outing their low-level mage as he's casting spells. Adventurers are promptly run out of town by an angry mob.

Detective realizes there are probably more foul-hearted individuals in the world, so he dedicates himself to protecting the poor folk from fraudsters like these.

>Ass-backwards, Lolth-thunping, BookOfVileDarkness-belt dwelling, bumfuck redneck purple trash drow cake sorceress
and
>Tracksuit-toting, corner-squatting, cigar-smoking, riff-slinging, vodka furnace drow bard with banjo of distortion

They live in the medieval equivalent of a trailer drawn by a giant spider, brewing moonshine and cooking meth. The girl thinks the man is a communist spy, the man thinks the girl wants to steal his unique instrument for his rival, but neither admit their suspicions openly, feigning goodwill and depending on eachother in the vile, hostile aboveground world. They drive around the surface, robbing banks/shops/taverns, killing do-gooders, telling off Drizzt clones as race traitors and backstabbing eachother like some trashy, bizarro, turbotsun, ex-underdark version of Bonnie and Clyde

>rogue sailor tiefling that isn't a murderhobo, nor a rude edgy kleptomaniac. morally neutral, good sense of humour and a sucker for useless trinkets he finds around an call tokens

>medic and scientist gnome. still undecided on class. clumsy and risky doctor trope. hides his face with mask. asks a lot of questions.

>sorceress drow. just wanted a good build and I have no ideia how I can make it work

>middle-aged bard halfling. responsible and considerably mature. tends to care for the party, though prefers to avoid work. not a very good sense of adventure. hopefully I can play him differently from the average charismalol bard. he liked to play his flute for his children. I just want to roleplay as a dad

>young half-elf who resembles link from the very first zelda game. named zelda

Not very creative, I know.

Holy magical quads. You read my thoughts

Space janitor who wants to do something else than cleaning the third deck everyday. Maybe becoming a famous racer or something that involves tons of money

I might do a sci fi campagin and I have no idea what to do for a character excepet that,
someone give me more ideas

A character like this was a long running antagonist in a Dark Heresy game I ran. He was a "virologist" in the adeptus mechanicus who one day got infected by a disease he was studying and turned to Nurgle to keep himself alive.

Outsider tried to get into a regimented society. The Outsider gets challenged to winner-takes-all by rival. Outsider accidentally kills rival and winner-takes-all means WINNER-TAKES-ALL. Outsider takes all of the rival's benefits, such as his right to be an adult in the society and all of his belongings. The Outsider also gains all of the rival's responsibilities, such as the rival's pregnant wife and young child. In a bid to raise the standings of the new family (and to give them time to grieve), the Outsider haggles a quest from the Elders to, basically, go adventuring.

I made this up to somehow justify a troll-blooded adventurer having only one arm. He was supposed to give his arm as collateral and pledge to not let it grow back until he returned.

>ex-cleric turned artificer who lost his holy powers after disobeying his goddess' direct order to not cure some people of their disease because they were devout believers of her direct opposition
>had studied better ways to heal so he could save his holy powers for bigger and tougher healing tricks, so the drop wasn't as bad as it could of been.
>uses some small vestige of holy power in combination with medical paraphrenalia to heal people.
>the vestigial power comes from a minor god of doing what's right
>tends to yell at and insult people, while healing them, mind you, who run off on their own and get hurt enough to need medical aid.
>gets downright vicious with his scalpels when someone younger than him is in danger.

Won't call myself any kind of genius or witty role player, but I always thought this would be somewhat fun to play with.
>Goliath baby that fell from a cliff/mountaintop, suffering severe head trauma on the way down
>Found unconscious in a field and raised by human farmers as their own
>Never brining up the "you're not human" issue
>As an 8ft Beefcake McLarge in his 20's under the impression he's just a big guy with a weird skin and hair condition, blacks out in a rage during an orc raid and after he wakes up with fists full of orc skull decides its time to leave the old farmstead and see the world.
Not an award winning backstory but I thought it might be fun to play a guy self conscious as fuck about his "condition" trying to fit in, extremely adamant that he's human and trying to emulate his human farmer family values.

>Twink who lusts after old men

>An undead paladin who fights with lances, spears and halberds atop a horse
>A cool guy in a long coat who fights solely by throwing weapons, mainly swords
>A big muscular brute character who can take on aspects of dinosaurs and fights solely through tearing shit up
>A necromancer who specializes in using customized and highly augmented undead minions, rather than disposable fodder
>An undead gunslinger

>insane
>dutiful
>dwarf
>mailman
That just sound neat.

Tyroneas Blinkalisious "The Hoe Slapper"

To quite new Vegas
>Don't fuck with the guy who delivers the mail

>Rain, sleet or fire breathing dragons this letter is getting delivered. I want my guy to take his job seriously, insanely seriously even. If the recipient is a demon, then we are going to hell!
But what about Mrs Cake?

So can you also hunt white witches, it is this a venture Bros style "can only hunt blackulas" kind of deal?

It's a respectable profession

>The Tailor/Seamstress
>He or she can mod outfits to fit just right
>Give them time and stuff and they can make great cloth/linen/etc armor/gear
>Can Handle leathers and wood to make good temp armor and gear
>Dislikes metals, find them to be tacky.
>Dreams to make the greatest armor out of clothing
>Started adventuring to make that dream come true
>They don't use swords/etc as weapons and they don't believe in using their tools for weapons
>They seam a weapon or they use whatever pointy stick heavy rock is around
>They don't know how to fight but they do know how to fight dirty
>Bad guys charging at the group, Tailor Seamstress runs away to only come back to toss stones at enemies that forgot about them or hitting some unlucky bastard over the head with something heavy.

Who wants me in their group?

A Bard seeking redemption for his gigilo ways. He ultimately becomes the groups moral compass despite being a little overbearing at times.

...

Half orc bard who's instrument is a Warhammer with some strings tied to it

I want to play a male orc bounty hunter. Like pic related.

A spoiled stuck-up rich teen who is the son of the owner of one of the largest trading enterprises in the world. He was sent away by his father so that he can adventure, see the world, and become a real man. He's weak in combat but has a bad ass butler to guide and protect him. The butler has been instructed by the father to make trading partners along with keeping his son alive.

I'm currently playing a homebrew with this, and it works out great. It is a duo though, so you have to convince someone to fill the other role.

Warlock I just wanted cool powers and was too eager and impatient to read the fine print.
Now he's stuck having to do shit that the deity who gave him these powers wants him to do. Like go on this quest.
He'll do it, but you can guarantee his heart ain't in it and he'll complain constantly.

Farmer who got sick of the day to day monotony and sold everything he had to buy adventuring gear and ran away from his problems.
Lies about all of this and gave himself a heroic backstory. Boasts about his prowess in combat but really is just inexperienced and scared.

Poor guy who joined the space army just because it was a free way off his planet.
Some families save up their whole lives just so their child can get a trip to another planet (which is sad in an of itself as this means that they likely will never see each other again)
He has no real allegence to his military, but absolutely loves that he gets to travel around and see the world.
If you want, you can make that just his backstory and now that he's out he's doing mercenary work for the same reason.

"Have gun will travel"

To add to this, he's a neutral character but serving a good diety

Or maybe, if you want to make it a bit more interesting, he's evil and wanted the powers to do evil shit, but this dirty is forcing him to do good. Would be hard to play that and not be an edge lord, but I think it could be the source of some good humor.

Are you a big fan of Bryan singer?

This is the coolest fucking one in the thread. Hands down.
Might have to steal this.

This is genius.

Eventually he fesses up to the party, or they run into someone from his past who outs him.

He stops trying to be this big heroic knight or whatever he says he is, and instead finds what he's good at and becomes an adventurer in his own right. In the end, he finally is what he pretended to be, a legend.

>*Minimal fighting ability- I bet the guy has a nightstick and once had to smack a wolf off his boot but we're not talking a full time warrior

Couriers tend to be priority targets you know.

Sounds like a manga I’ve read.

Con man who cons his way into saving the land

One Piece is an exercise in "What if we just kept adding more to this design?"

I have a pad of these, actually. Some are group concepts for an online roleplaying server.

>Cancer Blackguard of Talona. Dwells in sewers, drags others down to infect them with diseases, then lets them live. Seeks to breed the 'perfect' disease.
>Wizard Palemaster and his fighter Henchman, the Palemaster seeks immortality, grafts his experiments onto the Henchman to create the ultimate minion.
>Bard of Asmodeus. Plays heavy metal, subliminally turning commoners into cultists and devil worshippers.
>Spartan Infernalists. Short Spear/Shield Romans who worship Satan, emulating the legions of hell.
>Holy assassin of Goodly gods, doing great evils in their name.
>Ultimate Chef, kills monsters and turns them into delicious dishes. Minotaur Steak, Basalisk Bisque, Dragon Risotto, etc.
>Victorian-Era "Druid." Early biological sciences applied to fantasy nature.
>Samurai Jack style monk with swords. Very humble, never picks a fight.
>Native American were-bear. Lives in a teepee, sends people on spirit quests.
>Jem/Sailor Moon paladin, rides unicorns, has a Glittersteel Longsword, vanquishes evil through the power of, like, hope and friendship.
>Shadow Hunter / Paladin archer. Hunts evil with a holy bow.

Stealing this concept from Hank Pym

Mad scientist necromancer.
All mad scientists have their obsessions, that they try to follow obsessively even when the universe repeatedly tries to stand in their way.

For Him, the obsession is that of being a hero.
Constant struggle with himself to do the right thing.

"Nah guys, I'm true neutral, honest."

Playing a Mario session, and our Human is a 15 year old kid kinda like this. Raised by Toads, super naive, except he somehow maxed his Speed and throws a sword made of old letters at everything when he’s not playing pirate to the annoyance of his party. He’s adorable.

If I wasn’t GMing, I’d play a middle-aged Toad Mycologist. Specifically, he studies the unusual preservation techniques of the Toad ancestors, who decapitated their dead and placed their heads in blocks, which is why Toads place mushrooms in ? Blocks today.

In an excavation in the desert, an ancient fungus that was an evil Phaoroh long ago gets into his system and acts as a parasite in his cap, granting Dr. Fli T. the ability to siphon vim from his aggressors, at the cost of the parasite slowly trying to take over while the good doctor sleeps. It’s The Incredible Hulk with a more mystic motif, and he gets skinnier and frailer while using his powers.
Also, he’s Nigel to the ladies.

Thanks. I’ve actually had this character in my head for a while, but I never got the chance to fully implement him into the mechanics of an actual game. This is mostly because my experience with tabletop games consists of one unfinished campaign of Unknown Armies.

I've wanted to play an intelligent sword that possesses a new host each time a previous wielder dies. I went over it with my DM and he digs the idea. We figured I could keep the same mental stats and class across characters and roll new physical stats and hp, though. I figured it could be a fun and kinda funny way to play. Like each character is totally expendable but I have to hope against hope that I never encounter a rust monster.

I would join a group with based snort man.

cute anime girls (male) going on adventures

Unironically want to play a big muscly huge-breasted futa barbarian with a cursed oversized cock that I can use as a club. Basically Dragons Crown Amazon but with the witch's bazooms.

That's just called "my family"

That’s hot.

A couple of ideas floating around

Eclipse Phase: A neo-homind that was a celebrity chef back on earth before the fall. Now he runs a resturant on Mars with his girlfriend and is trying to make a business that makes special narco-algorithms to simulate taste. He's also a producer and dealer in narco-algorightms which got him caught up with Firewall so overall he's rolling around with F G A, and R rep

Pathfinder: Frontier Jane, the witch. She has a 10 gallon hat, a stew pot across her back and uses her rifle like a witches broom

Starfinder: Either as an Envoy or Operative Ysoki who's basically Paladin from Have Gun, Will Travel

Robot/golem that gained sentience, originally just used to maintain library collections but eventually started reading them in secret, learning about people and the world.

Wants to go out inyo the world but literally everything he knows about anything is from books.
