>Watch your back >Shoot straight >Conserve ammo >And never, ever make a dragon a flammable thong
So to sum it up, we talked about giant Adiposis tits and masochistic cyberlimb girls that like to be toyed with.
Can we combine them ?
Jaxon Miller
Daily reminder that while 4th edition is garbage, so is every other edition and it's still the best you've got.
Cameron Gray
Reminder to check your spelling before you post. You meant to post 5th instead of 4th, don't mess up again.
Jaxson Morris
>virgin 5th >not chad 4th lol
Kayden Lee
Now this is a meme I need to see
Someone get on it
Brody Moore
>not double-chad 3rd
Ryder Peterson
If you mean using the virgin/chad meme the proper way, then yeah. If you mean "bad thing/good thing" then fuck off.
Andrew Jackson
Do giant adiposis tits work well for Faces?
Jonathan Ortiz
>tell us about your homefluff clothes/armor okay.
In my game, my dude wears a Kitanica-Volante Mk.XV armored jacket >Styled after 21st century EVA spacesuits, the Volante-Kitanica Mk. XV is custom made and stylish. Boasting broad-spectrum, if low level, protection against a variety of threats this unique jacket can protect you in space, on the ground, or even under enemy fire.
Its an armored jacket with all the environmental protection mods. Inspiration at left, plus that green jacket Adam Savage wears in some Mythbusters episodes, and a little Apollo era spacesuit for good measure.
Jaxon Phillips
If you're the kind of wimpy nerd face that doesn't plan on running and gunning, sure. You could run a mage or mysad that way, maybe even a decker.
Aiden King
As long as you don't have to move around much then it shouldn't be a problem. Just make a drone rigger face or something and you have an excuse to stay in the van.
Hunter Clark
>tittymonster face is carried on a palanquin by muscular orc boys.
Angel Hall
ok so to clarify how I THINK trick shot works is that you just roll the modified dice pool up to a max of your accuracy and take all those hits and add them to intimidation dice pool yeah? I wouldnt imagine i have to make the shot against their armor like a normal attack role since im not even trying to hit them
Brody Mitchell
Accuracy limits hits, not dicepool.
James Moore
You could achieve the same effect with a wheelchair drone or PMV
John Carter
If you're going to magical realm in the thread you may as well go whole hog.
Oliver Evans
Slaveboy orks are so expensive, though
Colton Foster
sorry if i worded that weird, i know accuracy limits the amount of hits, i basically want to know if a trick shot is an opposed test, like say the Vitals called shot, or if the bonus you get to intimidation is all the hits, up to the accuracy of course. if thats any clearer
Nathaniel Nelson
I think it's supposed to work like an assistance test to your Intimidation, so you get a bonus equal to the (net) hits from your Trick Shot. I'm going to go out on a limb her and guess RAI was Trick Shot is used on the target of Intimidation, like shooting their hat off their head, in which case they may get some kind of opposed test to defend.
But you could also cheese it to show off your badassitude by hitting some defenseless inert object nearby so you don't get opposed.
Noah Martin
How would it work if I had the bone spikes metagenic quality and got bone lacing cyberware?
Carson Thomas
ok that was kind of my thinking as well, the examples provided are shooting a hat off, which i could see getting a test since they could move, and also slicing a card in half out of the air, which wouldnt most likely since no one is holding it.
that makes it not near as universally though so thats kind of upsetting but oh well, thanks for the help
Angel Taylor
universally useful*
David Hall
To be fair 5e's Called Shots and MAs are kind of terrible.
Ethan Bell
yeah, i was interested in taking the sharpshooter quality and being built around called shots but im not sure if the small increases are worth a -1 dicepool to any other ranged attack
Tyler Hill
>gnomes have 2/7 logic What? Does anything else have a logic bonus? I didn't see any others.
Sebastian Scott
>orc boys >not orc girls Fucking disgusting.
Angel Cook
Your GM may allow you to stack it with Strive for Perfection. The effect is very powerful if halving the penalty is applied before the flat reduction, and there's no RAW guidance on the order they should be applied.
Lincoln Taylor
>Teaching my group the system, making characters >One player pronounces nuyen as "nu-gen" until I point it out.
Maybe this was a mistake.
Benjamin Gutierrez
IT'S LIKE THAT KOREAN LAST NAME
Jonathan Morris
How do you even mix up that pronunciation?
Jaxon Morris
There's the mathematical order of operations, by which you would divide before subtracting
Gavin Johnson
Yo, Yekka. Good work on enabling those furry deviants. Anyway, old character's can't be loaded in Nightly-v5.195.58 for some reason. Error is: Crash id is 92caecf8-44bc-4f5f-b87d-13268cb402b3
Brayden Watson
Can't have them challenging the Tittymonster's tit supremacy can we?
Colton Perry
Also, Bone Density, Bone Lacing, Dermal Armor, and Orthoskin no longer show up in the augmentation lists.
Michael Butler
>a player says fake word wrong during char creation
ignoring that y looks similar to g in print, are you sure that's a fair measure of their quality in playing?
Nyugen is also a fairly common name in some places. He might have been having a brain fart.
Dominic Edwards
I wish I knew why my computer hated Chummer so. It doesn't matter what release, whenever it crashes, and I try to do an error report, it encounters and error and fails to report.
Brayden Davis
Oh, the character doesn't have an ESS attribute saved. Um. That's odd. Gimme a bit and I'll sort it. In the meantime, you can chuck this into the attributes section of the file and it'll get fixed.
ESS 0 6 6 0 0 0 0
Austin Miller
Very odd. Thanks man, all good.
Jack Wilson
yo chummers
am I mistaken or has there been an errata change for Technomancers? If so, what has changed? I'm too retarded to find it on the official forums, if it exists.
Huh, Apparently Resonance is better than Reaction.
Anthony Kelly
Huh, that's a new one.
Jackson Scott
If you add Technomancer, it creates a duplicate Resonance stat as well (though any change made to one reflects on the other). Chummer then crashes is you try to remove technomancer as a quality.
Saving a character in create mode and reopening it causes all stats to be set to zero, and increasing/decreasing them doesn't affect karma at all.
Isaac Garcia
welp, thanks
like I said, too retarded to find it
Henry Carter
Just a headsup, chummer crashes everytime I try and add YNT softweave to, well, anything.
Logan Brooks
There should be an added cost/complications to the procedure due to bone spikes making your skeletal structure a ness. I'd add the +2 to the damage of any unarmed attacks on top of the lacing bonus after it's all said and done though. Probably add a bonus to intimidation as well since your now a chromed bonemonster.
Lucas Wright
No? I never said that, I just thought it was funny. I know my group for 3+ years, I think I know whether or not they'd be bad. It's just that my example, plus the fact that another player misspelled Banzai for his alias wrong twice, means I'm gonna have a lot of fun on my end
Owen Gray
Fixed in the latest commit, next build in ~10 hours. Can't reproduce it; got a character file to reproduce it with?
Nathan Johnson
Uh, fuck, first time for reporting problems, d'you like, a file from the chummer or?
Im fucking slow on the uptake here, you mean a character file made with the chummer, right?
Xavier Bennett
Yes'm.
Nicholas Morris
Sent, hopefully.
Luis Murphy
Stat me.
Benjamin Williams
That email address is amazing.
Levi Robinson
nice. I love it when people actually reason out where their clothes come from, and it's not just the implication that everyone custom-mods and tailors their own clothes.
Xavier Bennett
Can you link the old thread were this was discussed. I need it for science.
Christopher Miller
last /srg/
Juan Baker
>Masochists >Adiposis tits
Grayson Taylor
>mfw I'm a discount wolverine
Jaxon Price
Speculation here, but how much (if any) hardened armor would a great dragon have?
Luis Taylor
In Street Legends Lofwyr and Hestaby both have 20 Mystic Armor and 20 Hardened Armor.
Camden Hughes
Why are bug spirits so spooky? What's so bad about them?
Zachary Ross
Bugs are spooky Ghosts are spooky
Justin Evans
You know in some levels in Earth Defense Force how you had to fight giant monster ants? Bug spirits are on that level of evil and chaos.
Isaac Nelson
They are things from spaces beyond human comprehension that come to this plane to subvert and devour every single person on the planet.
Plus bugs are gross.
Xavier Johnson
Fuck How can I make the faceless megacorps less faceless? My main plot is about shady corporate activities and I keep thinking about the corporations at hand as singular entities, rather than entities represented by actual human beings
Juan Williams
To recall the math: Adiposis in Shadowrun is defined as being both clinically obese and having at least 30% of your weight as adipose. For our purposes, consider "clinically obese" as having a BMI of 30 or greater. There's no known BMI for Metahumans, so we can estimate humans only.
Assuming >all or most adipose tissue is in the breasts >the density of this adipose tissue is 0.905 grams per cubic centimeter We can determine the volume and spherical diameter of breasts that are by themselves large enough to qualify for adiposis.
For a... >155 cm (5 ft) anime heroine weighing 70 kg (154 lbs) Entire bust is 21 kg (46.2 lbs) for a total of 23204cc (6.1 gallons or 1416 cubic inches) A single boob is 10.5 kg (23.1 lbs) for 11602cc (3 gallons or 708 cu in) and has a diameter of 28 cm (11 in) At this size, one tit is bigger than a basketball
>175cm (5ft 11in) average height Shadowrun Human weighing 98kg (215 lbs) Entire bust is 29.4 kg (65 lbs) for a total of 32486cc (8.6 gallons or 1982 cu in) A single boob is 14.7 kg (32.5 lbs) for 16243cc (4.2 gallons or 991 cu in) and has a diameter of 31.4 cm (12.4 in) At this size, one tit could contain the volume of two basketballs and then some
Notes: A US regulation basketball has a volume of 455.9 cu in, diameter 9.4 in It's assumed that Lift/Carry tests are for weight aside from one's own body; as funny as it would be, Adiposis Breasts shouldn't incur a lifting test. Just playing with a girl's Adiposis Breasts requires a lifting test for STR 1 characters, as it exceeds their 15 kg baseline. The average Human height comes from SR 4e 20th Anniversary, page 72. The average weight given there is 78 kg, which works out to a 24 BMI (normal).
Lucas Garcia
Add a human element to the equation, somebody to represent the countless faces that toil behind the corporate mask. Something like a wageslave contact looking to make a little money on the side, a middle management upstart trying to get ahead who'll help you if the team incriminates a rival of his, a high ranking corporate sponsor who heard of the team through the shadowy grapevine and is looking to have some off the books work done. Try to have them meet multiple times at a corp run/sponsored place like a bar, restaurant, or night club where the team can interact with the regulars.
Leo Johnson
youtube.com/watch?v=YLALR7CRwbQ Start breaking it down First level would be The AAA Megacorp A level down would be subsidiary Like Knight Errant or Ares Integrated Solutions. Next level would be local divisions. You know factory that takes care of producing the tools and machinery for this country. Its largely automated with drones doing 90% of the work and few metahumans to keep check of it. You know Joe the security guard who is maybe too old for the job but have been there for so long that the boss doesn't have the heart to fire him. Or Lisa the janitor, single mother of three, barely managing to feed them and is stealing some discarded parts to do so. Steve is the factory overseer, balding and with a belly, he was aiming high but one screw up slammed him down to this position. Look who is working there and why are they doing this. The bosses might be doing this because evil and money but your regular researcher is doing this because this new medical treatment can save millions. He know the experiments and trials are sketchy but he have convinced him that its a needed sacrifice to help the people that need it. Humane motivation for human characters.
Aaron Jones
I use the fronts and threats system from Apocalypse World (I think the Sprawl has a similar system that's more geared to cyberpunk, but I never got into that game).
So Monobe International is a Front. Their fundamental scarcity is ambition (which is to say, their ambition is what puts the PCs into threat). It's agenda/dark future is, "Get a Seat on the Corporate Council by killing NeoNET, creating a dangerous power vacuum where no one is working to check Deus/Eliohann, furthering the spread of the most dangerous kinds of CFD and making a Boston breakout inevitable." The Stakes (questions about the fates of different characters) are, >Will Mulch be able to make strong enough connections through Monobe to call off the JIS hit squad? >Can Briget realise the danger to her family and get them away from Boston in time? >Is Codebug willing to take a job as a MI wageslave for future financial security?
Then I get into the Threats, the things that personify the Front and make it real. The players can't deal with Monobe, it's a trillion-nuyen megacorp that sprawls across continents and has thousands of citizens and millions of employees. But they can deal with the Threats, and in that manner affect larger change. For example,
Christopher Diaz
Threat: Kubota faction Category: Warlord; Prophet Impulse: To overthrow President and COO Mitsukuri and install a member of the Kubota family in his place Description and Cast: A group of old hardliners loyal to previous COO Sho Kubota, who feel that Mitsukuri's weakness is keeping them from taking their CC seat. Includes the Widow Kubota, her three sons (Daichi, Hitomu, and Kenzou), and Hisato Abe, the old spymaster. Custom move: Will test out the runners on work against exterior threats, checking for subtlety. If they pass, the runners will be used against Mitsukuri assets to undermine him personally.
Threat: Financial Equity Analysis Department Category: Brute; Cult Impulse: To buy out or extract minor corporations and other assets to help Monobe's portfolio Description and Cast: Money men hungry for any new information or angle. Includes Fumihiro Goto (vice president), Kobe Ono (up-and-comer), and Andrea Mitchell (Mrs. Johnson). Custom move: Provides excellent financial compensation, but expects the runners to gather every possible bit of data. Insists on video recordings of runs, both for analysis and for future potential blackmail into wetwork and other messy jobs.
Two to four threats will do for a front.
It can also be broken down farther. For example, I'd never use this front at the start of a game, because I don't know what the players are interested in and it's all high-level stuff. Instead, I might take the Financial Equity Analysis Department, cast it as a front, and break it down into threats that would have smaller goals (for example, Kobe Ono and his attempts to buy out the councilwoman that represents the area the PCs live in) that are more immediate.
Isaac Jones
And they all have very kissable lips and defined chins. Terrifying.
Matthew Murphy
To deal with them i'd recommend insectizide gas grenades. APDS rounds Alchemy spells for your melee combat dudes Spells and Spirits Talk with your GM about letting spirits posses melee weapons since they are technically no longer mundane blades but dual natured entities.
Jaxon Roberts
This may prove a little skubby, but how exactly do you build a manablade user? I've heard it's got the potential to be pretty cheesy but it's proving difficult for me to wrap my brain around.
Anthony Perez
Build Blade Adept Give him Adept Spell(Mana Blade) Enjoy slashing trogs for 6+Net Hts DV that is resisted with only Willpower
Ethan Bell
This. It's the most direct and viable approach. If you could encounter drones, just carry a stun baton.
Kayden Morris
Chummers, how does a cyberware model/ "water wars" veteran go full snek ?
Gavin James
>water wars Low-light vision modification Cyberfins for hands OXSYS cybergill Internal air tank
>snek Homebrew liminal body
Nolan Moore
What's the point of a skirt on a snake
Liam Watson
I ran a game once where the world was actually mostly true to what the masses believe of Megacorps. They were for the most part good entities working for a better world. The players were a special task force called UNICORN United Nations International Criminal Operations and Recruitment Negation. It was heavily based on this youtube.com/watch?v=tOlnmiayzGY
They even had super-criminals like; the Count Du Clonk and his personal army of drones, Stacey Sharps the master of blades, Silver Wheel the roller blading infiltration specialist, General Malaise the toxic shaman, Goody Two-Shoes the shape-shifting adept of deceit, In Fractions the mad AI, and many other colorful baddies.
Nathan Ortiz
I was gonna say that sounds stupid, but now I just think that sounds stupid fun. Though it honestly sounds like you might've been better served playing m&m
Dominic Moore
And the arse on a snake is closer to the end of the tail, so what the hell is she shaking?
Hunter Thompson
Rare Naga variant? In the same vein as the rare variant of centaur whose head and torso are more human-like than normal
Isaiah Wright
Shadowrunners are asking the real questions.
Jaxson Wright
It all came up in my mind because I wanted to run Shadowrun with the caveat that the corps were being honest. And because It was supposed to be a neutral bright game rather than a grimdark edge fest.
Pic Related, it's Stacked Deck the magician.
Kayden Edwards
Thank you my dude. Does 2,5 essence, 65k nuyen and 40-50 capacity, slower running speed, better speed in water, seem a reasonable suggestion to my GM ?
Ethan Hall
In my campaign most of the evil shit orchestrated from the top of (most) corps was an elaborate scheme to keep the public in the dark about the horrors and slow their arrival. Mass wealth accumulation to fund anti-horror research. Investment in space to build space-kaers. Control of information, because if you know about the horrors then they also know about *you*. Research into if essence loss grants protection against horror-marking (similar to how the lower your essence the harder it is to drain your essence). Developing drones/AI as warriors who are immune to Horror corruption entirely, since they aren't even alive.
Etc, etc. It turned corps from being faceless cartoon villains into ultra-pragmatic geniuses who would stop at nothing to win their secret war.
Josiah Ward
Speaking of Horrors, how do people feel what they've done to blood magic in Forbidden Arcana?
Also, could a Tarot mage use a duel disk as a focus?
Ryder Sanders
You mean how blood magic has both a light and dark side? We've known that for years. Dunkelzahn's suicide was a massive act of self-sacrificial blood magic, destroying himself so that he could delay the Horrors.
If you mean something else you'll have to elaborate.
Austin Jones
For something similar (mermaid tail) I was planning to just use a tracked liminal body stats and add water jets and fins to it.
Leo Rivera
There might be vestigial human hip bones in there, after all actual snakes have distinct body and tail segments. It may even help to hold her viscera in place as her upper body is upright unlike a snakes and she has a human mouth so her digestive system is probably more like a humans, she can't just swallow a sheep and spend two weeks digesting it.
