Don't know about Chronicles, but in World of Darkness, not much. Helios has nowhere near the Umbral presences that Luna has. It's stated multiple sources that Luna is brighter then the sun in the Umbra. That being the case, I always counted it as obscured days, which with some covering could be dealt with.

The real problem is the Rothschek (Can't remember how it is spelled). If it causes a frenzy, the vamp would throw off the protection in a beserk fear as they tried to run for cover...

Like how drowning people pull rescuers down with them.

Then there is the Humanity checks to stay away, and all sorts of other problems. To say nothing of entering an Umbral realm with normal sunlight conditions.

Overall, Umbra and Cainites don't mix well.

It's why they stick to the Dark Umbra, also called the Sunless Lands.
