Would you play a game where the party is and/or is part of a bandit gang for a significant portion if not the entirety of the campaign?

No. Why would I ever want that?

Sure. But I wouldn't want to stay a bandit. It would be kind of stupid to be a level 10 something and still be robbing stage coaches and caravans. At that point I want to get in to big stuff, Like robbing casinos and tax fraud.

Why would you even play above level 6 user?

Depends if it's done in an edgelord way or not. You could have a very interesting game playing a bandit gang, I think. Are you a "tax collector" to a particularly greedy and stupid lord? Are you one of the disgruntled commoners who are fighting back against that greedy and stupid lord by striking at his tax collectors?

Like, if it's a lawless enough land you could eventually go legit. Guard the roads, take fees from travelers and trade caravans for protection, repair and fortify bridges, kill monsters and goblins that might threaten the trade.

That's pretty much the only way to make it sustainable.

Am I missing something? Whats the problem with playing a character to level 20?

D&D starts breaking way before that, and it's hard to care about godlike characters. Play cape shit for that.

yes

yes its simple nice and fun with lots of opportunities

Maybe they want TO DRINK FROM YOUR SKULL

Definitely.

Got any more art of warbands, partner?

Play it as a modern day Silk Road style organised bandit. They even have a fucking chitty system so you don't get harrased too much. That's more organised than the legitimate government in some areas on that road.

Blades in the Dark

How would that make them fundamentally different from the band of murderhobos that comprise most adventuring parties?

my last character was a leader of a bandit group the entire time up until I had to move and drop out.

Moved from highwayman to adventurer because (in character) I felt it would lead to more money than stickups and random shit. Joined party as hired muscle for the LG fighter trying to usurp the throne. Almost always at odds with the group for doing violent thug shit but was useful enough to keep around and party leader was never driven to actually try to kill me. Used crime connections to get maps and information on fortress we raided. Kept in touch with old gang members and were running crime plans behind everyone's back to conspire against a group we needed for the rebellion. Wish I could have gone further with it.

Fuck that, if I'm a bandit then that means I'm not feasting.
I kill bandits and ingratiate myself to a local lord so I can go to the 24/7 feasts.

>My liege, not only this despicable bandit turned himself in, he admitted to multiple murders!
>My gods, what a mad man. We'll hang him in the morning.

run more organized crime style things than just stickups and random thug shit. or at least be smarter about thug shit and use adventurer skills to aim higher.

not in any dnd/PF system, but in a oldschool system? sure.

you obviously haven't played mount&blade.

if by "bandit"
you mean "devilish rouge"
then yea
you best expect some singing tho

It's a really bad game and you should be ashamed for playing it.

yes, why not

That's just like, your opinion man.

...

is this game good? i keep seeing it pop up on my steam recommendations

I personally find it merely mediocre. Other people love it, though. For example, FilthyRobot has made literally hundreds of videos on it.
