I'm writing a cyberpunk campaign and want to flesh out the setting.

Make up a name for a corporation, and tell me what they sell.

Artemis
They sell cutting-edge sports diapers for the discerning female fitness enthusiast.

Rolled 51 (1d100)

Roll 1d100 on the last table.

WalCo

Everything

Mitsuhama Operational Architecture, usually shortened to MOA. Their logo is also a Moa. They specialize in architectural infrastructure and supplies, as well as construction.

I came up with a bunch of names and slogans for fictional sci-fi companies once, let me dig them out:

>Imperial Holdings
>"All or Nothing"
Uuh... I really don't know. Some kind of asset management service? Don't know what I was thinking with this one.

>Huginn Recon
>"We Can See Your House From Here"
Private military contractor, specialising in reconnaissance and surveillance.

>Kronos Armour
>"Forward As One"
Weapons manufacturer, specialises in combat vehicles.

>Oranos Aeronautics
>"Sky's The Limit"

>Ares Armaments
>"Once More Unto The Breech"
Weapons manufacturer, specialises in rifles, pistols and other man-portable weapons.

>Paladin Medical
>"The Noble Cause"
Private healthcare, specialises in providing healthcare for soldiers in combat zones.

>Royale Defense Systems
>"The Finest Line"

>Sengoku Security Solutions
Japanocorp PMC. They sell their services primarily to the Japanese government ss a loophole around their "no standing army" agreement.

Less than half of them involve Greek gods.

...

It's true tho

>Enviro
Their main product are legal (through lobbying) performance enhancing substances and nootropics that are meant to be inhaled as gases. They have a line of proprietary technology to dispense the gases by processing proprietary pellets. All of the models available to civilians are rated on how fast they put a working dose in the air of a room, and are not for individual use: They pump out the gas in all directions and they have technology that prevents modifications like adding a hose.

They supply the military with proprietary breathing masks and combat drugs.

>Heron
Water.

>Aqua Cola
water

G-Corp
They sell faith.

AND
all their products come in vials that look like glowsticks.

Also the pellets are poisonous if unprocessed or processed poorly, to keep the riffraff in their place and the profit margins where they should be, you know?

it's called the Christ Company

>name
Executive Operations Facilities
>what they sell
Peace of mind in an increasingly violent world. Helicopter borne HTR, airborne security, direct action first strike capabilities.

They got prophets for profit.

>Nadir Dynamics

Cheap as fuck 3D printed mechanical objects. Mostly stuff like extremely low end construction materials and bicycles, but also sells weapons through a subsidiary. Mainly sells the products, but also rents/wholesales printers, schematics, and raw materials to those with the ability to operate them. Operates a quasi-legal crypto-currency as well.

>RIO Corp

>Anything and everything the other corporations don't sell. They specialize in dumpster-diving for anything the other corporations gave up working on, reverse-engineering it and improving upon the design to make it profitable.

And you can bet your ass there's other shit in there the politicians have made it illegal to talk about, like stimulants and neural inhibitors. The corps that field the devices in their offices and such want performance increases, but also control over what you put that performance towards. These things are all over prisons, now, too, probably for cheap after making a deal to test new products on the inmates with the privately owned ones, which are all of them in the cyberpunk future.

C-Lekktor
Psyclon
Centhron
X-Fusion

Cannibal Inc

Deals with dead bodies. Re-sells organs, creates fertilizer, and even cultures vat grown meat. Only does wholesale work to other corporations or countries, so their rather on the nose name and logo never ends up on anything that a consumer will see or buy. Let's other corporations explain away ingredients by turning people into processed products and selling those, essentially. Extremely lax corporate culture in their offices.

C-COMP
Holding company active in different sectors. The holding itself is unknown from the public, but its many brands are fairly known.
Employees: 35’000
Troops: 600
Covert: 25
Household appliance, consumer electronics (major manufacturer of domestic SimStim consoles and blank SimStim chips), domestic robotic (accessible line of synthetic waifus and husbandos, different kind of cleaning robots), telecommunication (cheap phones), mail order services, adult SimStim production (holds 37% of the market and also controls a good part of the black market through shell companies), automotive aftermarket (diagnosis systems and tools), sex toys.

Kikakku Corporation
Officially, prints labels for prepackaged fake-organic tofu.
Employees: 5
Troops: 1
Covert: 2

Why, user?

Because there's an increasingly large market for it, and they're getting more demanding and selective, regular medical brands don't cut it anymore, they need specialized products that are fully compatible with an intense, active lifestyle, not stuff for old ladies. It's not the 2010s anymore, women deserve the best. They deserve Artemis.

Honest Hearts. They started as an NGO who guaranteed safe passage to first world countries during refugee crisis and ended up being a sort of private employment office on a global scale. If you are a poor, uneducated nobody in some war thorn land or in a depressed zone and you can't find a honest job, you go to them. In less than a month, they have contacted the right people in a first world country and filed all the necessary paperwork to get you a job as a menial laborer and a place to stay in a random first world country. Of course a big part of your salary will go to them for at least twenty years. And sure, the first world hardly is the paradise you hear about, at times it's as violent as your country of origin. And let's not forget you are living in an dump, a decommissioned military base Honest Hearts got by the government in exchange for their security kicking out some squatters that occupied it without making too much of a fuss (on an unrelated note, it's funny how those anarchist squatters just abandoned the place as soon as Honest Hearts was involved and are now part of their rank and file. But maybe it's a coincidence).

All right, all right, everything sucks. But it beats starving in the third world hellhole you came from... right?

oh I like that one

>Ayn
Recreational, low yield nukes and child slaves. They are known for their perfect corporate reputation and customer support.

ancapemoji.jpeg™

>All Chem
Various chemical compounds, most commonly drugs, but produce many industrial chemicals as well, supplies a surprising amount of medical equipment to various groups. Secretly has control of multiple underground genetic manipulation facilities.

Harry King Co. They provide claeaning, recycling and trash collection.

They also make a profit out of reselling recycled materials, compost and chemicals.

Hans Corp
They started off selling utilitarian men's lingere, all security they own double as advertising models. Lately theyve expanded into bullet proofing everything they could, from windows to fishtanks

Armacham, they mostly deal in private security.

:^)

Microceft inc
They do for education what 3D printing did for AK-47s

The Demeter Group

They build houses, housing complexes, skyscrapers, roads, bridges, everything that needs to be built. They also do renovations and if you pay the foreman their "special fee", any microcameras and voice receivers that are definitely not getting installed along are malfunctioning from day 1.

Stratos Inc

Stratos corp has, through a staggering series of corruption, patented the weather. 196 seperate patents for the means to cause, or stop, weather phenomenon. If you dont pay your water bill, the company shuts off tge water to your home. If your town doesnt pay its Stratos bill, Stratos shuts off your RAIN.

>Ethnic groups
No Jews.
I wonder who could be behind that table...

>We Can See Your House From Here
More like a pepping company.

>the Velent-Rowne Group
an far-ranging mix of eclectic concerns and interests, mostly important only as it is the holding company and clearing house of the Rowne family estates and their byzantine enterprises. It is their semi-official slush fund, and source of solvency based on the stupidly profitable Hidromel patent.

Hidromel is the key cocktail of drugs and chemicals that allows the user to operate a brainjack and be placed in artificial Synesthesia to process the data load of modern industry. It's demand, and the Rowne Group's carefully extensive manufacturing licensing, means that many governments quietly stifle anything that would harm production, like lawsuits, or financial inquiries, or safety inspections.

Inkachi Industries - Robotics, especially city service droids like street sweepers, trash disposal, etc.

Freelance Inc. - Central networking and assignment for 'Freelancers', AKA problem solvers for hire, AKA adventurers/player characters

DataDyne - weapons, AI technology, experimental tech

Raidier - airships/hover vehicles

LifeStream - Healing tech, DNA, genetics

Found the notes for my own setting, here's some more:

Hemlock Robotics - One of the primary Robotics companies involved in the new Robotic-Protection boon.
Shinkō Corporation - Running clandestine Genetics experiments involving cloning and manipulation of the genome.
Castela-Braun - PMCs, among other things
Ekuseru (excel)
Inkotochi Dynamics Incorporated "InkoDyne"
OMICOMM (Office of Military Intelligence and Communications)
PaDCOM (Pacific Defence Command)
Viewers Like You - An organization that funds a ton of public projects
Shaleheart Construction Co.
Argent Chemicals
The Helmsmen Society - a group of the influential and elite, gathered to guide and steer the direction of the city's future
Expedite - shipping and delivery company

Hornet Megatechnlogy
Originally an aerospace company, Hornet has been moving into other related areas such as air traffic control and metallurgy. Their products and buildings are easily identifiable by their art deco aesthetics.

The Crown Estate

Because the British Royal Family's wealth and properties won't just evaporate

The Soshu-den Forge.

They got started making precision medical tools (Scalpels, retractors, clamps, etc). The company founder can trace his linage back to the Kamakura period of Japan. Recently they've started to develop a brand of high quality personal defense blades ranging from very utilitarian (but still masterfully forged) to custom, made-to-order swords renowned for their artistry in the blade's hamon.

Knarravík International.

Norwegian based shipping fleet. Serving as one of the main means of ocean based shipping between arctic circle nations. The operate 3 main fleets. The first is dedicated entirely to moving freight between north America, Northern Europe and Siberia. The second is their smallest fleet consisting of dedicated ice breakers. These small but powerful ships move ahead of their other ships making sure the shipping lanes stay open. Their final fleet's services aren't publicly advertised, as they operate as pirates for hire, they operate out of a different port but often disguise their ships as icebreakers and accompany them on their runs.

CareMed

North American based body broker company. Their public facing operations are above board. Individuals can donate/sell their remains (or the remains of those they have legal authority over) to CareMed who distributes the parts to various medical research facilities, learning hospitals and doner tissue programs. The company however isn't above offering poor/sickly people free cremations to help elevate their final medical expenses only to sell off their parts once the body is collected. With the boom in the medical and genetic fields the market for parts and for parts disposal is a very lucrative industry as long as you don't ask too many questions.

Fatima's little secret

Sells cyberhymens, camel urine enemas and other oddities.

Katabase - Your Chance(tm)
Named after the concept of Katabasis. Sells Anti-Lethality Implementations i.e. technology that allows you to artificially prolong your life or even resurrect. Their management has weird occult secret society like themes and nobody knows how old they are. The products have physical side effects sometimes. Very expensive, not because it's hard to make but because everyone is afraid of death and they have a monopoly.

Vitruvian Synthetics
Offers cheap, very effective organ and muscle replacement made from synthetic tissue. Their products decay over time to line up with new product releases and require a proprietary nutrient solution.

>Sue, Grabbit and Runn
>Legal Services

McDonald's
The only current company to still exist in the far future. Through a series of complicated business deals and acquisitions, they now also specialise in legalised drugs, slave trade, and arms dealing, among other things. Every purchase comes with a toy.

I'm Lovin' It

>slave trade
I want a hot and spicy

"taking the piss since 1961"

A agricultural propagation and sexual toy company that started off as a partnership but when one of the partners retired, it was taken over by the remaining CEO
sneed's feed and seed, (formerly Chuck's)

I remember coming up with a pretty generic Cyberpunk setting a while back. May as well post some brief details here:

Post-apocalypse, a huge global war ravaged the planet. There's now only one colony that's known to exist which is a huge mega-city surrounded by a dome to protect itself from the atomic storms that now rage almost constantly. Although there is a government that runs the city day to day, everyone knows the real power lies in the hands of the five mega-corporations in the city.

Amalgamated Dynamics - Cutting edge tech hardware, including cybernetic limbs. Most of their staff all wear VR-interface suits, which look like high tech NBC suits, which they use to plug into a sort of virtual hivemind space. As the suits obscure almost all of the wearers body there are rumours that most of ADs employees are more machine than human.
Neboyo Hepnix - Cutting edge software. Rumours abound that they can hack into any computer anywhere, and are even trying to develop AI (which is illegal).
Scythe Inc. - Specialise in cheap and robust military technology, ranging from firearms, to powered armor, to APCs, to combat drones. Also known to be the most active in launching expeditions into the ruins of the old world to reclaim lost technology.
Hepplewith & Franke - Known for their cutting edge military technology. Railguns, plasma rifles and stealth camouflage are all within their arsenal. While outwardly presenting a facade of a trustworthy and honest company, those in the know know that H&F are normally behind most acts of corporate sabotage in the city.
FREYA - Deal with all things agriculture and pharmacological. They manage the great hydroponics farms that feed the city, and also produce nearly all the medicine. Involved in a lot of genetic manipulation of animal and plant life in the constant pursuit of efficiency.

and also NUCCs

Ironico. They sell aluminum Che Guevara armor.

Gold and Appel Inc. They do shipping, mostly. It's an open secret that they do smuggling of anything contraband.

'Far Fetched Importers' - "Nothing's to 'far out' for Far Fetched."

That's some proper dystopian thinking user but that would be some pretty advanced tech. What other powerhouses could compete with that?

FLGS
Tabletop Games

At the essence of the concept of a megacorp lies the conglomerate.
An institution of that size doesn't have a single line of products or a single brand. It has many brands and many daughter companies. Branching so far down that many don't know what the other parts are up to, just that a high level administrator can step in to correct them when they cross paths with someone from the same head office.

What you want isn't a name and a product. It's a name, a core mission statement and a brief history. That'll give character to your corporate landscape.

>EnSec
>"Stability and Growth"
>The umbrella company governing Energon, which is the original brand that gave it its start, and a variety of supporting industries such as transport and security, allowing for maximized efficiency. Energon established a firm foothold in fossil fuels late last century, the consistent dividends made them a popular investment option. Until the reliance of pension banks on their stocks made them important enough to the voting public that special laws and regulations were put in place. The special government protections gave them the ability to establish the EnSec umbrella office and expand their industry. True to their roots they favor stable profits over risky innovation and practice stockholder primacy, prioritizing the financiers over every other contributor and even the customer himself.

It's not supposed to be common knowledge that Cushion Raillines is a venture project by EnSec and that Ensec is the realy name of the people behind Energon. But it's not a secret either. They just don't want to associate the brands with each other because they're supposed to ellicit different emotions and associations.
