I'll ask the stop sign when I see him.

Probably very upset. And very aroused too. Therese is a cock-sucking whore mascarading as what she thinks a proper lady looks like.

She sighs, and thinks about how much Jeanette spends on tattoos every night.

>save ruthless, ambitious Therese personality for 3cp
>save the incompetent malk Jeanette but doom the Ocean House ghosts for 3cp
>or save Tourette and be a constant threat in 'their' eyes for 5 cp
This is why I like VV better, big fake tits and no ambiguity.

unless she had it in mortal life, it won't last - Kindred regeneration just overrides these things (unless Fleshcraft was involved making it)

How viable is a renegade Tzimisce who runs a vampire beauty parlor?

VV shows Toreador charisma so great. You know there's something wrong going on there, but you just can't not like her.

And when you try - tits.

mybe

Don't know about Tzimisce, they're usually far too detached from mortal standards of beauty. But there's Toreador Antitribu that learned Vicissitude solely for that purpose.

Is it really 'manipulation' if she gives you more of what you already want - content and xp? I would kind of liked it better if you got no reward from helping her, so you had to think about why you're doing her chores.

In character, you fight a hunter and sanitize a masquerade breach for her autograph. LaCroix gave you more back.

Pretty mad, but worse because she came to from being Jeanette when some rando from the club was balls-deep in her slutty thonged ass.

So that's why she was after Bertram.

, , , VV is definitely manipulating the Fledgeling, but she’s also not as terrible as a lot of the Kindred you meet and from the interactions we have with her it’s pretty apparent that her Humanity score is actually likely rather high.
Note how she DOESN’T want you to just vanish the script writer (which would be easier, faster, and cleaner), and can’t even bring herself to ruin his work. She also doesn’t want to hear the details of how you killed the Vampire Hunter stripper chick, and even seems to find the idea of it rather distasteful.

VV def manipulates you, but that’s just what Kindred do, and she’s much less unpleasant about it then pretty much everyone else and probably doesn’t mean you any harm.

>You know there's something wrong going on there,
She’s sweet to you, and she even writes you love poetry. Unfortunately she’s definitely got the full Toreador curse going on and her sweetness feels like a stripper searching for more singles and her love poetry is atrocious.
My guess is she actually does get fond of the Fledgeling, but it all comes off as fake because like most Toreador being truly genuine is extremely hard for her to do anymore.

The closest we see her delve into real emotion is when the Malk PC pushes her buttons and gets her mad, and even that is tinged with some pretty melodramatic bits from her.

I doubt anyone really thinks the undead bimbo is a malevolent puppet master of Hollywood Boulevard.

This is exactly what I'm talking about here. I know I'm being manipulated but she's just so sweet.

Also, tits.

From a Kindred standpoint she’d be good to leverage a favor out of. She knows some people who knows people, has a steady and relatable income source, and her Humanity is high enough that she won’t screw you when you try to do so.
She’s what you might call a straight operator in Kindred society.

>her Humanity is high enough that she won’t screw you
that's a dangerous assumption to make

I loved those guys. In fact, I love it when vampires manage to nab Vicissitude away from the Tzimisce.

I remember an Anarch game where at first we all thought the local Baron was a ridiculously ballsy Tzimisce antibtribu. Then we found out about that Toreador bloodline and thought she was one of them. THEN when we actually met the city's Sabbat leadership for talks, she revealed she was a fucking Tremere antitribu who had clearly murdered her way through several Tzimisce to get her hands on the Discipline, in the most "does that make you mad, Sabbatshitters?" way possible. She was great.

well, all those Gargoyles aren't gonna make themselves

>Also, tits.
This might just be you thinking with your dick here, cos there’s nothing supernatural about that particular charisma.
If her Humanity isn’t high then she’s at the very least incompetent enough regarding violence that she’s squeamish about it.
Toreador aren’t uncommonly found with higher Humanity scores because they’re bleeding hearts who idolize the human condition unless they’re pretty old, and VV strikes me as not even an Ancillae in terms of age.
This wouldn’t be that surprising considering that LA is mostly full of very young Kindred comparatively speaking.

Well, she can't be older than her implants, and if I remember correctly she used to dance at her club before she became the owner. So, very, *very* young.

>Tremere antitribu
Two balls isn't enough for declaring herself openly.

>This is why I like VV better
I’ve had some really uncomfortably intense fantasies about what would be like to have VV blood-bound to you, even partially.

>Cheating on Heather

It's what made us like her enough to be legitimately loyal (by vampire standards). Most of the PCs had reason to detest the Tzimisce or the main body of the Tremere anyway, if I'm recalling correctly. Knowing that the Baron was a gigantic (un)living middle finger to both was all motivation we needed to turn Chicago into an Anarch city.

>having ghouls

Yo do they have Tzimisce tattoo artists?

This game keeps sounding very intresting but I am notoriously easily scared by anything remotley horror related.
Is there a type of vampire you can play that lets you play it like a pretty standard fantasy rpg? I am fine with the whole warhammer fantasy vampire thing but all the talk about malkavians freaks me the fuck out.

>Scared by a game
Damn you. Hang yourself faggot

>First Blood Bond
>She’s sweeter then before, a lot more willing to be helpful, wants to see you more often.
>Second Blood Bond
>She’s even flirtier then before, regularly asks to give you “private” dances, which are always very grindy and passionate.
>Third Blood Bond
>She’s your perfect personal slut. Every dance leads to her throating your cock and fucking you like a whore. She worships your dick like a god, regularly stroking you hard when you’re together just to keep you in constant pleasure. She brings her stripper girls to you, using her powers to turn them to willing whores as she moans and tells you how hot it is to watch you dominate them like you dominated her.

Most of the game is more like an action movie with supernatural elements. However, if you can't stand horror, you may not like the mandatory mission inside an haunted hotel.

It’s not really an especially scary game except for maybe this one particular part which is sort of pants-shittingly tense, especially for back when this was made.
It honestly rather plays more like a crime/conspiracy game where the criminals and manipulators are all vampires, filled with lots of gunfights and social interactions and femme fatales and douchebag assholes you just can’t wait for them to try and off you because it means you finally get to kill them.

And it had John DiMaggio as a Pirate Biker Vampire.

>the talk about malkavians freaks me the fuck out
I don't think anybody even mentions the voices they hear mid-dialogue. Vampire might not be for you.

It's a game where you play an undead monster and interact with other undead monsters, who often do horrific things to humans and each other. Find someone to hold you while you play, or play something else.

But some a pretty funny.
You can have extended conversations with a stop sign and the TV newscaster.

Do you even enjoy that stuff as a vampire? I mean, okay, the psychological satisfaction of dominance is there but it's not like sex feels good anymore, is it?

>Do you even enjoy that stuff as a vampire
No.

I remember that. God, I was terrified. It was short and is more "OOGA BOOGA" than anything actually scary. Esp if you aren't expecting it. But like I said it's short and after the initial two jump scares it's alright.

I knew I recognized his voice.

Wait what? I've only played as a Brujah. Kinda wanna find it again so I can play a Malk now lol

Man, I miss VTM.

>ALSO

youtube.com/watch?v=uoUCyrg5Syo

Alright sound like it be fun to play as long as I avoid that hotel. I assume you can use cheats or something to get past that?
For (You)

What, in VtM specifically?
Yes, it’s been made clear that sex feels exactly like sex to them. The downside is that most sex in real life is vastly overplayed in media and porno as to how good it can be and the best sex most consistently comes from people you like and have attachment to, and Kindred at best have shallow facsimiles of true emotions. There’s also no longer the same instinctive drive telling Kindred that “you want this” so there’s not even the basic satisfaction of fulfilling a need; a Kindred actually has to will their body to go through the functions of sex, it’s not automatic for them like it is for us. Finally, feeding is much like how most real-life addicts say that direct injections of heroin and shit like that are infinitely better then any sex you can have ever, except this heroin doesn’t fuck you up after and it makes you stronger and you feel like you need it ALL THE TIME even when your full.

Basically, to a Kindred mortal sex is just foreplay to them; they just want to get to the biting.
I’m guessing that the poster was mostly typing with one hand though.
Not quite.
Not sure how you could confuse it for being anything else.
>Wait what? I've only played as a Brujah. Kinda wanna find it again so I can play a Malk now lol
It’s best to do it after you do another Clan once, Malks have lots of really spoilery dialogue in oblique and roundabout ways. A convo with Jack at the Asp Hole even vaguely spoils the whole plot, and he points out that if he actually thought you understood anything you just said that he’d be taking to a pile of ash right about now.

Not really, only the Toreador really care enough to try on average.

It's actually pretty expensive vitality wise, so there's got to be another motive, although it may be emotional rather than physical.

Talking with stop sign and news anchor aren't even the strangest things you do as Malk.

Afraid not.
Hotel is mandatory.

I guess you could use console commands to update the quest as completed, although I never tried it.

>Not really, only the Toreador really care enough to try on average.
It’s a “young Kindred” thing.
Older Kindred and low Humanity Kindred don’t even bother going through the motions, they have other things to think about.

They don't. This n VtM there's a case where a lasombra(I think) girl whore herself to get favours from normal humans. It's said it's easy for her because she doesn't feel anything since she become a vampire

The hotel isn't that bad, the worst that you've to deal with is couple figures running across the service tunnels, random objects flying around, and couple newspaper clippings about all the fun things that happened there.

The creepy shit doesn't really start until you begin to run around in sewers looking for disease spreading vampires, fight across zombie infested abandoned apartment complex, or visit insane Malkavian psychologists home that is filled to brim with his test subjects.

And don't forget her bad love poetry that she sends unsolicited afterwards

I’ve headcannoned it that all Toreador poetry is pretty awful.

>play as malk
>spend most of my time with VV by bullying her

Am I a bad person?

Man, I miss this game

And my fort dude.

Time to reinstall.

But you're also transparently Lacroix's fall guy.

I really can’t hate Lacroix, every vampire will manipulate you but at least Lacroix gives you an apartment.

That’s also probably because I’m Camarilla scum. But I digress.

He’s literally trying to get you killed the entire game.
The only reason you AREN’T killed is because your Generation is probably higher then his is based on how many Blood Points you can spend at once, and even then you survive due to luck.

But, I mean, other vampires would do that too, and he pays the bills.

I liked that den in Santa Monica better. It had charm. The downtown apartment looks like a place where lonely has-beens drink themselves to death.

They're said to be unable to create true art after the embrace, so it wouldn't surprise me if they sucked at poetry too

Malkavians hear things. Maybe you'll be talking to Chinese Prince and hear something about calves kneeling to the butcher hissed right in your ear, it's not really frequent.

It's actually canon. Toreadors (and Kindred in general) supposedly lost their ability to create "art". At least I remember VtM having a fluff blurb to that effect.

The other Kindred reward you too, and while you certainly undertake dangerous tasks for them nearly none of them send you on missions that would normally be suicide that aren’t already part of LaCroix’s standing orders. In fact, a lot of them basically just want you to do petty errands they can’t or won’t be bothered to do.
I mean it unironically; LaCroix is GENUINELY trying to get you killed. It was his way of fixing the problem of being unable to kill you politically without actually killing your. We see later during him calling the blood hunt stuff on you that there are PLENTY of Kindred willing to work for him, and yet he keeps sending you and JUST you on these ridiculous tasks that would basically be suicide for a Fledgling that is less then one night old at the beginning of the game. Later on he uses you more seriously as you prove yourself competent, but you aren’t his primary plan of action, just his first and most readily expendable pawn.
Consider; most of the quests in the game can be solved using violence, and he has the Sherrif in his command. He could basically send that guy to do everything you do in the game.

Rolled 4 (1d8)

Welp, guess I'm playing it again.

1 Brujah
2 Gangrel
3 Malk
4 Nosferatu
5 Toreador
6 Tremere
7 Ventrue
8 Chunk

The Warrens with the spider-lady things stick out. The Sherriff could easily fuck them up.

Therese tells you that ghosts aren’t dangerous and sends a bunch of thugs after you.

Plus the ending were you replace him with the Tremere is probably the best, once you let the camarilla do its job.

Fucking CAMMIE! Urgh!

Enjoy your time in the best clan.

I wish there were more options to shoot the shit with Gary desu

The Sabbat warehouse too.
A huge wherehouse with the goal of “blow it up and kill everyone inside”, and all but two of the occupants are mortals? Yeah, that’s a blunt force job if there ever was one.
>the spider-lady things
It’s a Vozhod, a Tzimisce war ghoul.
They don’t all look exactly like that, but all are hulking monstrosities made from multiple humans blended using Visscitude. They aren’t that common in the modern nights because they are huge, conspicuous, time-consuming and resource-intensive to make, and are such a ridiculously obvious Masquerade violation that even the Sabbat wouldn’t use them.

It says Sabbat tactics using them boils down to “drop it in a populated area you don’t care about and then get the fuck out of there because you can’t control it and it will kill EVERYTHING”.

My only question is why would I hook up with somebody that looks like a fucked up vampire leper in the first place?

>They don’t all look exactly like that, but all are hulking monstrosities made from multiple humans blended using Visscitude. They aren’t that common in the modern nights because they are huge, conspicuous, time-consuming and resource-intensive to make, and are such a ridiculously obvious Masquerade violation that even the Sabbat wouldn’t use them.

Good thing they are also nearsighted. I just snuck by them through that section of the warrens.

She felt nothing because she already had the tattoo before turning into a vampire. Vampire cannot get tattoos or haircuts because they turn exactly to what they looked like when they died every night.

I thought in literally every ending except loner you get killed

The Nos was just hiding in your room and killed the girl/you

Obfuscate

right, this would have happened when they were both alive and being a bad girl

>Defeat LaCroix and join the Cam - Do both combat missions; in the end Strauss shows up and congratulates you on your loyalty. He says that some secrets are too dangerous to explore, and it shows the coffin being concealed in some warehouse along with loads of other boxes, Raiders Of The Lost Ark style

You survive in most endings if your humanity is high enough and you'ren't a complete idiot that opens the box or allies with gook bloodsuckers.

Well shit, time to install again. I wish we'd get another game though. Done by obsidian maybe? Maybe hairbrained studios.

Around Kuei-Jin watch your Kine

For the most part she’s right; the ghost isn’t directly dangerous to you since all but the spectral fire is easy to heal from. It’s not even all that difficult a level once you get past the scares.
So basically the most dangerous thing about working for Therese is the fact that it is Therese you are working for and she’s batshit.
>Plus the ending were you replace him with the Tremere is probably the best, once you let the camarilla do its job.
It’s just LaCroix that’s the problem I’m speaking of. The Camarilla is as widely dysfunctional as every other Kindred government ever so they’re not much worse then the Anarchs at all, but LaCroix is genuinely attempting to get you personally killed.
What said.
Knowing Nosferatu, she was probably creepy stalkering on you all night without you even seeing her.
Vozhd aren’t known for their intelligence.
In fact, their Intelligence score is 1. The process that creates them drives them insane and makes them impossible to Dominate or use Presence on.

They’re basically biological bombs.
The first word on their description in the game book is even just a plain;
“Run.”

>Nosferatu
By the clack-smack crackling of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. I don't remember seeing you on the guest list for the dinner party... We're having a wrap party for The misfits 40 years late...
Cast and crew only, boss

Was Gary /ourguy/?

The first time my ST sent a Vozhd at my group was the day we all realized how ridiculously broken Obtenebration is.

>your ST's face when a bunch of shadow tentacles pick up his Vozhd and throw it off a bridge

It had better have been a suspension bridge because otherwise all you have is an angry Vozhd one street below you demolishing anything nearby.

>"Not my problem!"
>t. the Player Characters

Who in the world makes a Vozhd and sends it off to fight on a bridge?

>”That did not work out like I thought.”
>”Well, at least we can cross the bridge now, my base Humanity requirements are met anyway!”

That’s a good question honestly.

They're not hard to bait, their whole existence is run to the nearest living thing and kill it.

I’m sure the Camarilla loves you guys.

The Tzimisce. No sense of right and wrong.

The one Vozhd we fought that we killed was somewhat embarrassingly quickly ended for that very reason. We had a rigged up to a crappy homemade incindiary explosive. The Vozhd charged, set off the bomb, and blew itself it pieces along with the old building it was in.
It’s stuff like that is why they aren’t used anymore; it’s actually not too hard to kill them with modern weaponry if you get one out in the open, they were a lot more effective when everyone used swords and shit.

I’m guessing Anarchs.
“Run away and toss it off a bridge” seems like a very Anarch plan to me.

Can vampires be saved? Is that even a thing in this universe?

Brooklyn Bridge. The very top of Brooklyn Bridge. The only thing preventing an extreme Masquerade breach was a state of emergency called through Camarilla connections.

Baited. Vozhd are extremely dumb.

That said, back in the middle ages when they were used more often, they'd probably have been fantastic for stopping entire armies at a bridge or anywhere with a narrow approach.
