Hey Veeky Forums I've been playing Shrinks & Psychoses: Seattle edition. Help me out, is there any reason not to dump Charisma as a Niles?

Also, I think my GM might be planning to throw us into a Lilith and Maris double encounter. Any tips for surviving?

No, Charisma is arguably the least important stat in the game, especially as a Niles. It's only if you want to unlock the Gelsey Krammer prestige class and have to spec into a Friles build that you need to worry aboout it, and honestly it's just not worth it.

...

Absolute bullshit, the best way of dealing with Maris is with a Niles that has decent charisma, and it completely opens up prestiging into Island Niles

>Island Niles
That's a fluke and something of a dead end. And all that Charisma does nothing for shame.

Last time I played I just used a refluffed Only War character (and not even the psychiatrist, though that was because it was Seattle Edition)

>not going for the Freddie build

Have you tried playing Seinfeld?

I loved that guy. Fucking hated Frank though, he reminds me of a "friend" I had in high school.

Freddie is much too niche of a build to be useful. Hell even a Bulldog psychic damage build is more suitable than that!

Seinfeld is for casuals without the level of literary, music and trivia knowledge to play Frasier. But at least it's not Cheers.

Personally I'd just say fuck the whole thing and go for a Cliff Clavin build. You don't have to put up with shit if you're Cliff.

Is Martin still viable with the new meta?

Is the gimpy disadvantage worth it to get Eddie as a tank companion?

>Cheers.
RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCKING TED DANSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martin hasn't been viable since they nerfed his chair.

Frasier might be better than the RPG it spun off from, but you have to respect that Cheers laid down the original mechanics that Frasier just perfected. Double Date scenario? Cheers. Duplicitous ex? Cheers. Dealing with the boorish plebs? Playing a Frasier in Cheers. Hell, Frasier is essentially just a spin-off for a single class from Cheers, so of course it does that aspect well.

Martin is a Cheers class awkwardly shoehorned into a new system, he's a relic from when Frasier was a glorified specialist game.

>Not playing as the Norm Drunken Brawler Archtype
It's like you guys are letting your DM's "Niles" you out of fun
>Thank you so much for this Thread here's some cozy

Not so fast. He is a bit hobbled due to his starting hip status, but he also starts with Eddie who paralyzes on sight and he has ranged weapon proficiencies. He's not as good as he was last edition, but he's still a solid choice all around.

seattle edition is fucking garbage. shit like this is why Veeky Forums is dying

Boston fags can fuck off

And don't forget, if the Frasiers and Nileses of the party are going to have any staying power, they are going to need someone to complement them where their week - they have terrible Perception of Reality, and if you put any points in that you are essentially sacrificing your Socialite trait. You practically need a Martin around, but a Roz can definitely work to keep a Frasier's Ratings effective

Oh my gosh that Thai waitress line is too spot on for words.
