40k Fluff Ideas & Critizism

1) Daemon Primarchs should be more powerfull than loyalist Primarchs.
2) Bob G. shouldn't've been the first loyalist Primarch to resurface.
3) All loyalist Primarchs should be troubled individuals with some serious flaws (Russ becomes a disgusting furry mutant, for example)
4) The first loyalist primarch to resurface should've been either the Khan, Corax, Vulcan or Russ
5) Chaos should be a serious threat, which could be achieved by a) making their Primarchs stronger and b) giving them new toys to play with
6) The Imperium should be pushed to the edge of full blown civil war

Example:
The Warzone Fenris Arc could've been expanded upon in such a way that the Space Wolves basically become involuntary renegades, having to defend against the Imperium while fighting the Allfather's enemies. Building upon this, Russ (as mentioned in 3)) comes back from/is found by his sons in the warp but is completely disfigured, resembling soething like a Wulfen at this point. As such, the other Astartes chapters are on the fence in regards of how to treat the resurfaced Primarch, with some accepting him as one of the Emperor's lost sons while others see him as an abomination that should be put down with sword and fire. The Space Wolves continue their independent quest and become a crusading, fleet based chapter while Fenris is lost to Magnus or Imperium forces. Now that the Astartes chapters are in a situation resembling a civil war, the Inquisition seizes the opportunity to investigate the chapters on their red list. Most notably the Dark Angels, who themselves should be in the Anti-Wolves camp, forcing them to fight a war on four fronts (settling the score with the furries, fighting the Imperium's enemies, hunting the Fallen and now also defending themselves against the inquisition). This should lead to a split within the Inner Circle: one side (the radicals) call for reasembling the legion, for the price of violating the Codex Astartes and thus infuriating both the Inquisition and the High Lords, while the other side (the more orthodox ones) are calling for leniency. This of course would just proof the Inquisition right in their suspicions. The Dark Angels are now trapped in the old "Doomed if you do, doomed if you don't" situation. The orthodox faction initialy wins the argument but discontent reaches dangerous levels within the chapter... Now we have two founding chapters being persecuted as renegades/heretics. This naturaly unsettles the other founding chapters and leads to a general feeling of confusion within the Imperium's forces.

*here happens more stuff*

...and then comes the big whopper, which kicks the Imperium right in the nuts. Now that the Imperium's Finest are in a civil war in all but name and forces stretch thin on all fronts, Abaddon launches the 13th Black Crusade in earnest, leading a massive host of traitor Space Marines, heretic regiments and daemons out of the Eye of Terror. Despite being cought offguard, the Imperium can rely on the Cadians to buy some time for reinforcements to arrive on the scene. This would then lead to the Gathering Storm series, which should also be rewritten.

What do you guys think? How could the fluff have been made better?

>these powerlevels aren't correct
>imperials should all have crippling flaws
>chaos is best stepdad
Nah. Now step aside and let me shoot space orks with a laser gun in peace.

Because Guilliman beating up Magnus and Morty without any problems is much better, right?

>Guilliman beating up Magnus and Morty without any problems
pls post, I want to read that.

While I agree with OP that Daemon Primarchs should be far more powerful than "normal" Primarchs, Guilliman is the hero of the story, while Mortarion and Magnus are villains. It is a story of a heroic warrior defeating evil in the name of light.

Problem is not that they are defeated, problem is fluff speaks so much about how incomprehensibly powerful Daemon Primarchs are, but doesn't show it.

Magnus gets the Emperor's sword rammed into his chest and jumps into a warpgate, fleeing back to Sortiarius... to come up with another brilliant scheme to destroy the Imperium.

Morty and his boys have some fun in Ultramar untill Bobby shows up and is pissed. The two fight to a stalemate and then Mortarion and his forces mysteriously vanish. Don't know about you but that's a defeat in my book.

That's saturday morning cartoon nonsense.

Post the whole text of the fight

go on, I want to see you quoting exactly where the daemon primarchs prove to be inferior to guilliman

>Magnus gets the Emperor's sword rammed into his chest and jumps into a warpgate, fleeing back to Sortiarius... to come up with another brilliant scheme to destroy the Imperium.

That was also a battle that included St Celestine, the leader of all Grey Knights and like half a dozen other named imperial characters with Magnus as the sole Chaos named character.

It also, you know, involved the Sisters of Silence who are rather a hard counter to demons and psykers and especially demon psykers.

Don't lie.

Magnus was beating the shit out of Gulli

Then the sisters of silence (NULLS) showed up.
Then the eldar pushed him into the webway and cut off its connection, leaving him sealed in the webway portal off Luna

>ITT: chaos cucklet blogposts shitty headcanon

You killed a thread for this. If your gonna do a shitty blogpost do it in 40kg, at least shitposting this there is on topic

>muh chaos should be better (despite having sold out their souls and being nothing but cocksocks)
>the only primarch we knew was there and could see shouldn't have been the first to return
>l-loyalists can't remain pure
>w-wah, khoas should be more powerful, waah! N-never mind we split the galaxy in half, we need dem funds and help :C
>Imperium should split up because we need easier foes

Chaos confirmed for babies.

>1) Daemon Primarchs should be more powerfull than loyalist Primarchs.

But vulnerable to things that harm demons. Most demon Primarchs wouldn't like having St Celestine's sword shoved up their ass for example as it's a blessed weapon/incarnation of the emperor's wrath regardless of it's physical properties.

>wulfs should fight the imperium!

Why? No one bar the inquisition cares. Inquistion learned it wasn't worth dealing with.

Rus isn't coming back till the Wolf time. Otherwise he would have broke Magnus's spine. Again.

Inquistion isn't retarded enough to fuck the Angels.

>1) Daemon Primarchs should be more powerfull than loyalist Primarchs.
That has been proven repeatedly. Guilliman got smacked down by Fulgrim twice, and barely managed to survive Magnus WITH assistance.
>2) Bob G. shouldn't've been the first loyalist Primarch to resurface.
The only primarches that are around and not lingering between death/disappearance are Guilliman and Johnson. Guilliman makes more sense.
>3) All loyalist Primarchs should be troubled individuals with some serious flaws (Russ becomes a disgusting furry mutant, for example)
They are, all the primarches had some serious problems to contend with. Guilliman struggles with his own feelings of inadequacy and memories of death.
>4) The first loyalist primarch to resurface should've been either the Khan, Corax, Vulcan or Russ
All of whom are in the dedicated "MIA" category.
>5) Chaos should be a serious threat, which could be achieved by a) making their Primarchs stronger and b) giving them new toys to play with
You'd think all of the daemon abilities would be just that.
>6) The Imperium should be pushed to the edge of full blown civil war
It pretty much is. The Admech are shitting bricks about Cawl, the High Lords still nurse a grudge about Guilliman one upping them, half the Imperium is basically wild space.

Cadia was defended due to Cadians, Necrons, admech, Necron toys from 30k (space marines) and SOB.

Less SM doesn't change much.

Primaris Marines should either fuck off and die or replace the regular Marines completely and be done with it, that's how it should be.

But Russ is already a disgusting furry mutant, everyone on Veeky Forums already knows this and is fine with it.

>Most demon Primarchs wouldn't like having St Celestine's sword shoved up their ass

Lewd desu

Grukk is a Champion of Gork.

Mogrok is a Champion of Mork.

Ghazghkull is the Champion of Gork and Mork.

waiting for the next shift when it turns out the Primaris experiment fails and everyone's gotta deal with the Primaris turning into uncontrollable bloodthirsty lunatics.

I like the reference in that art.

I think the fight with Morty is in here, I only got like halfway through it. It somehow managed to make a galaxy spanning war between demigods boring

>Small-time Orks like Grukk and Morgrok are 'champions' of anything
>No mention of Orkimedes, Nazdreg or Tuska Daemonkilla
I am disappointed.

Kinda hard for the Orks to be champions of anything when the gods nature’s flip flop around a lot.

Easier to just have them be super hard boys, like Ghazghkull.

Gork and Mork's natures don't flip flop so much as the Orks keep mixing them up.

It's pretty simple: Gork will on average punch you in the face (brutally cunning) and Mork will on average punch you in the back of the head (cunningly brutal).

I'm actually wondering what the Beast reacted to when Gork and Mork said, 'No, you can't just crash the Ork Attack Moon into the humies' home planet.' That was probably an interesting conversation to say the least.

> demon Primarch are more powerful than regular Primarchs

Why aren't chaos Marines better than regular Astartes?

>full blown civil war
Nahh
The imperium was already pushing for survival, doing all of these just seems like a lame desperate attempt.

Now a days 40k seems more like masters of the universe rather than a grey and indifferent universe.

This civil war is nonesense.

>I have literally done nothing in 40k but read the HH: The OP

This is a huge problem. New 40k guard are fucking weebs.
40k its supposed to be gray, not this bullshit.

>sortiarius
What the fuck is this name? Sounds fucking retarded.

Wolf player here.

I find your Butthurt hilarious.

Wolves have Always been Loyal, but stupid. They resolved all their Loyalty issues during the HH.

You should go back to /v/ then.
