Kind of a lot of points you give us there. I mean, you can end up buying about a third or more of it easily. For my self, I usually make sure you get enough points to buy at most a third of the options, but at least a fifth.

No, things are only edgy when the darkness is forced. When you see a character evil for the sake of being evil, that is edgy. When a world feels dark just to set the tone, as opposed to being dark due to natural circumstances within the world, that is edgy.

I can see those two and I having lots of discussions on the nature of the Forest and it's creatures. Having immediate access to fire via the Priestess will be incredibly helpful, too.

I entrusted Ricta with the heirlooms in addition to my life. Being one of the few assassins in the empire, her various skills have stopped many battles before they began. I doubt father will really approve, but... I'll retain her after the war. If she's willing.
