>a magical cherry tree forest
>an old city full of shrines and temples, that used to be the capital but was given to supernatural beings instead
>every village is an idealistic farming community where monsters never tread
>state-run public transport (carts, caravans, horses, etc) that always runs on time
>lots of comfy noodle restaurants
>fishing hamlets
>lots of yokai
>regions divided by their style of noodle and preferred cultivar
