I literally cannot enjoy the MGE setting because of the "muh demonic energy" approach the author has to it.
I think the MGQ setting is incredibly superior, and I can appreciate it.

I've tried to enjoy it, and I really like the concept of some monsters, but once you add in the whole deal of "human women will inevitably be corrupted into turbosluts who cannot think anymore" and "men will inevitably become sex slaves because pffft I dunno I never had sex so thats literally what sex does to men", all my enjoyment turns to disgust.
If you just remove those two factors? Alright, it turns into a pretty little neat setting. Weak-willed men are dragged off by monster girls, strong-willed men can fight but many get captured yet may break free eventually, women can fight back but are physically inferior to monsters? That would be neat. But the setting, as built by the author, is a festering abomination which I would put to the torch.

If played straight, it has the potential for good a good horror adventure. But the sexual aspect doesn't add anything, and you would be served as well by regular corruption ala call of chthulhu or starcraft.

tl; dr: It's a purely ERP setting. The common pool of males between species could make for original stories (I remember some mythos like that), but not in the current state of the setting.

My ranger would probably last a fair while since he had fairly high dex and wisdom, so he'd be able to slip out of or avoid grapples and resist mind altering a bit better. Would probably wind up traveling the world with a monster that enjoys it as well before his inevitable fall into hedonism.

It does, but that's limited to a few races of monsters (angels, plants and slimes iirc), and even those only do that when they want to kill people. If they like you, they won't eat you. They only wanted to eat Luka because they were either at war or wanted to stop him on his quest to kill the monster lord.

Human women don't get turned into monsters, and men can get blessed by a spell that makes them taste bad to monsters, so they don't become sex slaves. There are perfectly peaceful monster races, and in some places monster-human couples are common and consensual.

The corruption is the part that makes MGE grimdark. I think MGQ isn't grimdark, but that's because there's actual conflict.

I posted in response to this image, in which I explained the loss of humanity that comes with being a monster and how it's a bad thing. I then proposed a solution for the setting so that monsterization doesn't cause loss of humanity, just weakens the superego, which can be restored once the affected person gets used to the transformation.
I also proposed a way for the ending of the setting to be happier.

Monster girls as a concept can be used in various ways, but first we should get rid of a large festering pile of an MGE setting, because any attempt at forging something interesting and coherent will be smothered by you guys.

That is where I was getting at . The tragic loss of humanity that comes from monsterization and incubization. It's not just the loss of ambition and self-control, but adaptability. Adaptability enables humans to condition themselves to suppress parts of their personality that may be liabilities of some sort. Without the ability to sublimate emotions, be patient, or have focus, what makes us distinct from all other animals? How are humans able to steer their destiny without their superego? This "liberation" of personality doesn't give humans freedom, but instead enslaves them to instincts they weren't even born with.
