I think a lot of the problems can by solved by appending "for most people" to all the monster effects, with countermeasures ranging from 'being a hero' to specific magical/alchemical/etc countermeasures for any given species.

I feel most species should have a method but with various efficiency.

A Succubus could do it in a single night but needs a preprepared ritual. But it would take a mauling by a pack of werewolves on a full moon to do the same.
I think there should be holy relics that slow down corruption, and it could be repelled little by little by weeks of prayer.
