Any news on releases in this quarter for BB?

Anyone have a pdf of the Almanac? I own the previous 2 season books, but wanna know if getting the almanac is worth it (not just in content but also overall page layout)

>first bbg in days

I own the rulebook, both seasons, and the almanac.

The almanac has everything the previous three had and some more fluff and the teams of legend.

I like it.

Can human teams cut it in the long run?

Will their jack of all trades approach stand up to experienced specialist teams, or do they have to semi-specialise themselves?

Bash teams can be a nightmare. You'll need to be content with staying away from the opposition for most of the game

If you wanna survive long term, put block on everyone, doubled with dodge if possible

almanac is worth it

Should I take an Ogre then?

An ogre is a must on a human team

has anyone here read the blood bowl comic more guts more glory?

Yeah its pretty fun. There is a uploaded set of the comic on some websites. Its fun and witty.

I will be having a one off match with my friends Undead in two weeks time. I will be using Chaos. Its decided we are starting off with 1000 TV as we do normally. He goes with the standard 1 ghoul, 2 mummy, 2 wight, 12 man roster with 3 RR.

Which Chaos Roster should I bring to stand the best chance? There is the 4 Warrior one or the 1 Minotaur one which is on FUMBBL. I can see the merit in either but not sure which to take as it seems like a hard matchup.

Any thoughts?

So after a year of playing lizards, I have my first game with Necros coming up. How fucked am I on a technical level? What can I do to not be shit?

whats it about really? leagues and matches? is it bloody and for adults?

See for yourself friend

See this fumbbl.com/help:LRB6NecromanticSetUp

There are a few configurations you can go. Defend your wolves, put your zombies on the defensive Line of Scrum, then on offense get your golems to pound the line.

Protect your Wolves and Ghouls. Use one wight and one ghoul to apply pressure when needed, use your ghoul as a carrier and the second pair of wolf and wight to protect him.

Careful of being trash trade marked (two zombies fall over, he marks with a lineman), can be a nightmare to get through.

Good luck though and let us know how you get on.

A picture of the final lineup of my match I had yesterday. Goblins vs Undead ended 1-1. Ripper saved my ass several times and managed to corner his Wight at the end where he flubbed up a dodge, which can be seen top right.

Do you have any opinions on flesh golums? Are they worth or not worth?

Mandatory. No question. Get both of them. They are your blockers and defensive pieces to hold the line for you while your Wolves and wights get to work. Hell if you aren't fighting a super strong team you can put then on the Line of scrum on defense.

Also remember to keep one wight and one wolf back field ready to intercept any break throughs.

Please help me for chaos

so the almanac talks about lizardmen, underworld etc. teams but you cant buy them

what the hell

These are teams that were produced for the older editions of Blood Bowl that people may still have miniatures for in their collection.

They "updated" the rules for them for the 2016 edition, but haven't produced new minis for most of them.

Underworld you can buy, though, but it basically is the cost of two team sets (goblins + skaven gets you what you need, plus the troll if you want though he's pretty mandatory to do well with the team).

Developing a lizardman team. All of my Saurus have block, and two of them have mighty blow. I want some diversity though, so what should I give to the other four? I was thinking tackle, stand firm or maybe even fend, but my buddy says I should get break tackle as soon as I can. What do you guys think?

Break Tackle is the right one man. You want your Saurus to be able to move as well as kill. If they get trash marked by linemen and don't roll good armour rolls, they get stuck there for a drive. Break Tackle makes them extra dangerous as they'll dodge on a 2+.

Please respond

Sorry, don't play Chaos :(

I may have a ton of inducements for my upcoming game. Is this guy worth buying?

Veeky Forums, you name my Goblin team
I have no ideas
And I need help

The Grabbin' Gobbos?

Maybe i did something wrong, but how can i start enjoy the game? I really like style, but every game isnt about strategy. It ts about who 1st roll 1. Your desicions doesnt matter at all, every game goes to 3+ hours stalling. But it isn't worst. At the end of the match usual situation, when winning opponent just delay end for beat your player for xp. U can just go for breakfast for this time. And yes, when u loose half of ur team 1st time, next 8 rounds r pretty joyful. And when u surrender it is even worse for your team.

get gud or get rekt

Different teams require different playstyles (both to play as and to fight against), but can generally fall into one of four types: Speed, Bash, Generalist/Skill, Joke Team.
Look up some strategy guides for the team you wish to use

The game is about mitigating risk, so do safe moves first; of course don't think that taking risk is bad in itself, just don't go about it foolishly (it's called "calculated risk" for a reason).

And ultimately, play the game primarily for fun (win or lose, it doesn't really matter, just enjoy the ride).

Nice advice, really helpful.

I dont care about win and loose, i care about avoiding situations, when u get bashed for xp about whole 8 turns. I played undead, high elves and humans. And ebery time i felt lack of speed.

>Your desicions doesnt matter at all

This is where you're going wrong. Your decisions lead to whether or not you have to roll dice, and rolling dice is where you can fail.

By playing the game to limit the amount of dice you roll by making decisions that let you avoid rolling dice, you create the advantage against an opponent who has to roll dice.

A perfect game of Blood Bowl would only make you roll a dice once: to pick up the ball. Practically speaking, impossible to achieve without active collaboration from your opponent, but that's how you need to think about it.

Nah, you always have to block/dodje

Undead are a more challenging team, meant more for experienced players. High Elves are a speedy team, but can be bashed down easily, so try to minimize your opponents chance of hitting you (remember, players only get one blitz a turn, so try to move around opponents, dodging away from the front lines if possible). Humans are more of a skill/generalist team, so building your skillsets for players is important (block and dodge skills are key).

Little Green Bastards.

Gaurd for your guys with just block. Break tackle for the other two. Maybe frenzy

Mean Green Gits

Didn't get much of a response on wip. And it's for this anyway.

Can I let greenstuff cure a little over night and then smooth it with a bit of water in the morning?

It will probably be too hard at that point. No reason not to just smooth it now, and perhaps sand it in the morning.

The game is 100% about your decisions and 0% about the dice rolls though

Crescent moon Cow manglerz

If you feel like 300k is worth a str5 block piece then yes he's good

in reality the RRs, Bribes, Babes or a Wizard are much better

It's too hard now. It's been at least 8 hours now.

How resilient is green stuff after it's solid? I have jeweler's files, but no sand paper. I also have nail files.

Can I actually get an even finish with sanding it down?

It looks alright from 2 feet, really. If I drop this in simple green/super clean, will the green stuff separate from the plastic or is that now bonded forever?

>Can I actually get an even finish with sanding it down?

You need very fine emery files, I know GW sells them but to get fine and smooth finishes I don't know what other people call them

Well I got all the core things I need on my team with 3 RR and 4 Warriors but guess I will sleep on it.

so then take 3 bribes and foul them until they cry

What team are you using exactly? That could help us help ypu more.

it's probably some frenchman baiting us

Undead, human and high. But i have tons of bits and able to go amazon and even orge. But i think human and amazon.

I've been away from the hobby for months and I'm only asking cause this is the nicest general, any new releases/rumors for Orks, Orruks, Orcs, or Oarx or whatever, in either AOS or 40k? And besides elf team, anything cool coming for Blood Bowl?

No news on Blood Bowl and honestly you're better asking the AoS generals or 40k for their releases.

If you are Undead you should have 0 problems. Block and foul till they die.

Just go for a 3 rr start. Since first game is against undead take an apo too. Normally id skip it but undead are a bit too bashy to not take it. Mino is for funhaving so dont bother taking it if you want to win. Chaos sucks until like 1300-1400 tv and undead is one of the best teams in the game right out of the box, so good luck.

Thanks. If I go the 3 RR start, I can't afford the apothecary so I'd need to drop a RR. 4 Warriors seems neat, just worried about being completely overpowered and run over. I think the 3rd RR would be better than the apothecary? Not sure on that.

Bump

Is FUMBBL actually any good? I knew a few people that used to play there, but they quit after hearing the admins say that they re-roll people's dice on them.

I am not sure on the re-roll people's dice but its pretty convenient. Unlike the PC game you can reconnect if your internet goes down at any point and it also has the more up to date BB2016 rules.

Hmm, I'm looking at the list of bugs on FUMBBL and it's a mile long, I guess I'll just stick to TT and Cyanide for now.

The bugs rarely if ever pop up. In its own way I find it more stable than Cyanide.

Rolled 6 (1d6)

gfi

I wish my Go For It rolls were always like that.

>playing Vampires on FUMBBL
>out of 45 games only 2 founding vampires left
>had to retire 7 vampires for serious injury
>highest retiree had 36 games before dying
>second highest 17
>check top lists
>tons of vampires past 100 games unscathed
>mfw

How do they do it? How are they keeping their Vampires alive so long?

don't let people hit your vampires
