Can we have a fantasy costume photo reference thread?

Can we have a fantasy costume photo reference thread?

Please no artwork. We all know about Osprey books. Looking for actual images of real costumes.

Could be re-enactment, LARP, traditional dress or even theatrical costume...

Somehow I was able to make a backup to work, thank fucking god. Posting somelittle content I have, its not mine.

...

also, how far should we go into fantasy?

...

...

Not OP, but I presume his limits is probably around the aesthetics of WHFB

Is that a musical instrument, a crossbow or a pipe?

Any pictures of you/Gropey/other LARPfags? I will so make you guys NPCs in my Zweihander game.

it's a crossbow

what kind of pictures you want?

>Is that a musical instrument, a crossbow or a pipe?

Yes

...

...

...

Sorry partner, I cant afford armor nor these events happen at reasonable distance of me, Im mostly assisting with the image posting.

...

Holy shit do you have more of those guys?

...

yes

...

...

Nice. I love well-done monster suits.

In armor? Looking adventurery or NPCish?

...

Meant that for Hungarian senpai!

Nothing like getting a little pussy durring a game!

Ah, my bad, hope you're finding use in what I post.

...

the table is meh, but otherwise I like the photo

I am, I just want to use our resident personalities as major NPCs in my game.

Im glad then, but I'm running out of it.

I'm kind of on this pic too

this one is before I managed to get proper glasses

Good lord you look like the assassin from the angels and demons movie, getting a Dycedarg vibe outta you.

Did they use actual bent wood pieces for weapon handles?

if you are between two battles, and doesn't have any replecament shaft you will make do.
What I'm trying to say is that I'm 100% sure that nigger-rigging like that happened. But it wasn't common.

>the assassin from the angels and demons movie
can you elaborate? Never seen that movie.

The dude from the link, its a decent watch.

Never thought about that before. Thanks user

Well I see very little resemblance but thanks I guess.

there ARE findings for repaired equipment, just not very much.
Also there are woodcuts where people put a broken shafted halberd in their belt, either to bring back to repair (a shaft breaking during fight was kind of common) or to use it as an improvised axe in battle. We aren't sure about it.

and this is the last one

Wow, I was also going to post the last I had.

Awesome. This fits my narrative of you and Gropey running a mercenary company. You're the financial and logistical half, and clownfag is the public face and charisma. You bicker like an old married couple, but begrudgingly respect each other because of the scads of coin you make together.

How's that sound?

this is my son.
i must feed him

yes but it was in the late medieval times.
look up the "våpenoks"

fair enough.
Also if it comes to fights (like tavern brawl or something) Gropalope is more of a "FIGHT ME!" and I'm more of a stabbing them in the dick/back after a shrug.
Probably I'm way more cynical plus an asshole and have more daggers too. May or may not hidden armour, like here I have a chainmail under all of the cloths.
Gropalope on the other hand is probably way better with women and have way more fans.

anyway let's get back to the random images

...

...

Who do you think would win in a straight up fight, you or the clown?
>Gropalope on the other hand is probably way better with women
WHY. It doesn't make sense.

This actually sounds cool.

in a straight up fight? Gropalope.
If it's a dirty fight then I would give a chance for myself.

>WHY. It doesn't make sense.
He is more of a slaneesh follower and I'm more of a tzeentch guy.
Also I hate people and also monogamous.

...

...

I thought this was a huge hat at first.

...

nah, Romans weren't that stylish

...

...

...

He can come off as a dick here, but IRL he's a total bro.

I'm wondering if anyone has court or formal wear, with both leathers and cloaks/long coats/surcoats?
I need to see some shit for a ball I'm going to.

Well, did they even have hats? For all the fancy helms, the tech to make a hat with plumes surely couldn't be difficult.

Hungry, you can be monogamous and still be charming and personable, even if you don't like people.
You can't deny the advantage of being on a person's good side.

Meant for this post.

could you be a little more specific?

still, I'm not actively seeking out attention or doing random small talk.
I can get on peoples good side, but that doesn't mean I do it all the time

>I can get on peoples good side, but that doesn't mean I do it all the time

"Good side" doesn't mean their blind spot while your holding a dagger, you know.

...

>"Good side" doesn't mean their blind spot while your holding a dagger, you know.
since fucking WHEN?

I'm looking for formal wear, something the equivalent of a tux of current times.
I'm in the process of putting together a classical outfit for a formal I'm going to, so I am looking for pictures of men's ballroom outfits, shoes, coats, etc.
Women's wear is easy to find pictures of, men's wear much more difficult.

...

I mean, which period?

...

Whatever, at this point. I'm still in formulating stages, so I may crib from different periods as I feel inspired.
I don't have a baseline to work from, which is why I seek pics of different outfits.
