What are the uses and applications for Stellar.

I have the three kings BTC, ETH, and LTC. I also purchase chunks of REQ for long term holds every couple of days.

I can see uses for all of these, and my next buy is IOTA, but what can REQ do 2018, 19, and beyond in terms of technology.

A good idea is to cash out your initial investment if you can, so if you made 10x gains and cash out 10% of that you can look at the rest as pure profits and won't be tempted to sell so easily anymore.
