Everyone always forgets that evolution doesn't always get driven by hard causes. Them puffing up a little when lactating (Other mammals do too, you can see it most easily on cats and dogs) and males having a quirk that finds that attractive is enough of a reason for them to sometimes be bigger. Literally, if it is not extremely detrimental, it won't go away. Boobs are not detrimental to women (Since even if they get in the way, they can be tied down or covered), and so they never got selected out.
Humans in particular have used tools for long enough that it's affected us. We don't have super dense fur and fat deposits because of clothing. We don't have chimp strength because in the end, augmenting your strength with a spear or bow was enough to not die, and having sex before dying is the only thing evolution truly selects for.

And here we see the difference. They have to turn their eyes to an extreme angle for the whites to be visible, meanwhile on a human you can tell from across a room if they're looking at you or something a few feet to either side.

And so what interests males has a drastic effect on what traits get passed down. Women select for success, with success defined as being hot enough to get with successful men.
