This is a good masterwork fleet.

While Rebels did fuck all with the model as usual, this at least opens up FFG to easy design picks for stuff like Armada.

Think of the last piece of non-Star Wars media (movie, book, video game, comic, etc.) you consumed. How would you go about transferring it into the setting of Star Wars? Would it make a good starting point for a campaign?

What are good movies to base your campaign off of? Sorcerer really worked well for me as a basis for a campaign set on Felucia. The PCs were driving Juggernauts loaded with unstable tibanna gas to an imperial mining outpost. Ran it in a few sessions and it turned out quite nicely.

Rebels finale ain't that bad, though the "conclusion" feels a bit rushed and I think mebbe had some graphical issues (Hera and Kanan's kid is that melty looking, it's not just an awkward screengrab). Like they only realized at the end this was actually the last season and they had to tack a 5 minute epilogue on it.

The scene with Ezra and Papa Palpatine is 10/10 right up until they decide to make the force pikes weird tractor beam sticks. Does NOBODY in the Lucasfilm design department know how to make a cool weapon?

Oh, beat me to it.

>Hard Boiled
Well, if I only had two players, I could run a neat game based on it, but not a full party.
The question is where to set it

No worries, fampai.

Yeah, that sounds great. Building space settlements and fighting off people attacking them while mean scientists do stuff in the shadows.

FATE/JEDI ORDER

BRRROTHER

Its sort of a weird mix of Carrack and Dread, then they've turned it into a fleet oiler by the looks of it.
Which is fine, I actually like that they're including support ships in a fleet

I will literally use anything and have done without any shame, I've not managed to get the group into playing the travelling cantina band though :(

Just finished rereading The Dogs Of War.
Possibly the easiest steal ever

It's beautiful

Tonight, the producers have given us a challenge. You see, the three of us think that the new Imperial Star Destroyers are little more that a massive trowel which some Kuati bureaucrat with no idea how proper ships work decided to cover with guns and call it the best ship ever made. The producers, for some reason, think we're being a bunch of idiots and told us to buy some ships for under twenty million credits, and meet up in orbit of Umbara.

>I will literally use anything and have done without any shame, I've not managed to get the group into playing the travelling cantina band though :(

the campaign I'm starting now has two performers in, I'm so close to achieving the dream

>Rex and Cody fist fighting on the bridge of a star destroyer.

>Morrowind
PCs get kicked off an Imp prison barge onto an ash-blasted colony filled with Chiss. After collecting every Skooma bottle on the planet and downing it all in one go, the PCs become the first people in the galaxy to literally run into hyperspace.

Sharpe could work great for an age of rebellion campaign set in a space-peninsular war with Saw Guerara's Partizans taking the place of the Spanish.

>Katana fleet just masterwork dreadnaughts

what's the main system people use for PnP Star Wars these days? Or, what still has support for the old EU races even.

>two performers
The performer career is actually pretty good if you're willing to work it, plus its handy for those times you need to glass a motherfucker

so my friend is repainting all of his imperial ships into the First Order TIE scheme.

I'm going to do the same thing with my imperial ships, but using the Blue TIE scheme, however I wanted to do green bloodstripes...

do you think it would look good?

Payday 2.
Easy enough, basic heist plot. You could even start out in medias res with your crew of guys on the Edge of the Empire, and the rest of the campaign is them trying to launder the credits, sell off the goods and avoid the long arm of the law, Hutt, Imperial or otherwise. Could have them constantly on the run for a faster paced campaign, or going to ground for a lower one.
And I'd be able to make use of that sweet sweet Payday 2 soundtrack.

Most people seem to use FFG, I prefer WEG D6 myself but that's because I like the possibility of actually being able to use vehicles and characters in the same encounter without them being utterly indestructible without specialist weaponry.

I've been using FFG Star Wars for the past couple years on and off and it's worked out well for me. The narrative dice take a bit of the story telling onus off of the GM and shifts it to the players, which makes my life easier. It has official support for pretty much all the old EU races and anything it doesn't have has been created in fan supplements.

Could work.
Especially since I ran a Besalisk HWG expy once

>Your brother trades in the J-Type for a microphone and picks you up from prison in a 2nd hand Lambda

The Empire loses a GRAND ADMIRAL and Sheev gets personally told off by some little shit and I'm expected to believe that dozens of Star Destroyers weren't swarming Lothal by the end of the week? That Vader wasn't personally dispatched to execute everyone on that shitty backwater? That for more than six years not once did Sheev mobilize the fleet to take revenge on Lothal?

The one time it would make sense for the Empire to be over the top evil and it just decides not to be.

March 5, 2018 is a day I will always remember. It was the day I became cynical, bitter, and distraught. You may call it an overreaction for me to feel this way simply because of the presentation of a single television series, but let me explain what all of this means to me.

My life was thrown off balance and I never regained my footing after that day, because I lost my ability to respect. An essential part of being human is to feel respect for those who may or may not be deserving of it. But it is equally human to feel painful disillusionment when someone or something you respected turns out to be much less than you thought. But the level of betrayal I felt when the Rebels series finale aired tore something from me that I'll never be able to recover. They tore away my ability to respect anything, and they tore away my ability to feel human.

Star Wars Rebels was a show I respected, and its staff were people I looked up to. Vision of Hope, Relics of the Old Republic, Trials of the Darksaber, Twin Suns and Zero Hour were all quality episodes that combined historical accuracy with compelling plot lines. These episodes may have been cartoony and humorous at times, but deep down they were always realistic and crafted with a level of detail and skill that won appreciation from viewers all across the internet. Season 4 was their final season, and the internet was in unanimous agreement that it was of unparallelled quality. Following it's long awaited premiere, Lucasfilm began releasing quality episodes that raised the bar ever higher for Star Wars Media.

Then the final episode of Rebels was aired. This was not just a broadcast of a television show, it was announcement of Lucasfilm Ltd.'s suicide. It was an episode intended to completely disregard any literary principles, and instead shock the entire world with its lunacy. Lucasfilm had gone off the deep end and raised the middle finger to everybody who stayed loyal to them. They had announced that they didn't care anymore, that they didn't care for their fanbase, and they were going to go out of their way to sabotage everything they had spent years creating.

The pain I felt from this betrayal has destroyed me on an emotional level, and has deprived me of my primary source of entertainment. No longer can I watch Star Wars without remembering the day I ceased mattering to people I devoted myself to. Lucasfilm had not just destroyed me or their company, they had destroyed the one force of stability in the galaxy: Trust.

>RE5
Rebel Spec Ops or whatever the PCs are check out an old CIS weapons lab on jungle/desert/NOT Africa planet. find BOW knockoffs, have to fight their way across the fucking base/lab/area to get back to their or a ship and GTFO.

I want a game where I play as Chopper flying around murdering the shit out of everything

>Darkest Dungeon

Basically the same, but the Darkest Dungreon is a Sith Temple, you are a Crime Lord looking to make it big, and the adventurers are Bounty Hunters, Force Users, Stormtroopers etc.

>Fallout: New Vegas
PCs are smugglers transporting a mysterious package to a casino planet that got completely wrecked by orbital bombardment during the GCW. Their ship gets boarded by pirates led by a smooth-talking gambler, who steal their cargo and leave them for dead. While trying to track them down, the PCs get tangled up in a three-way-war for the planet between the New Republic, a resurgent Mandalore, and a former Separatist warlord.

This is what I meant when I said that the conclusion feels a bit rushed, like they had to go "oh shit we have hastily close these plot threads".

I would assume that with the Chimera and Thrawn's Fleet presumably destroyed and the last bits of the Jedi Temple on Lothal similarly lost, Imperial politics kept it from being a priority capture. Maybe Sheev wanted to run Stardust on it, but we all know how that turned out.

Once the strategic resources were gone, Lothal seemed like it always was supposed to be a backwater of no particular value.

That was my impression too.
One thing I noticed is that the episode had five (5) writers, which is a lot even for a show like Rebels.

What makes it so jarring is that it's so blatantly out of character for Sheev and the Empire. He decides to burn his own Empire out of spite if he dies but doesn't level the homeworld of the little pissant who denied him godlike power? Utter bullshit.

Maybe he allocated resources to trying to locate Bridger and Thrawn instead?

The Empire has more than enough Star Destroyers to bumrush and undefended backwater for a BDZ. Not to mention Vader.

It was better than Last Jedi.

I asked this last thread, but maybe we'll get more response this time.

So the Dreadnought has appeared, this makes it's addition to Armada seem inevitable. If you were to make it, how would you design it? What should it be capable of? What is it's role? What statistics should it have? Assume due to the naming in Rebels it will have a "Support" configuration and a "Heavy Cruiser" configuration. For "Lore" compliance, it should have a Turbolaser slot (for Slaved Turrets, even if they aren't good) and at least one configuration should probably have ordnance slot and some black dice.

Extra Credit: Design a Katana Fleet title.

>Design a Katana Fleet title.
(One-Handed Exotic Weapon)
1d12 Damage
19-20 x4 Crit
+2 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

(Two-Handed Exotic Weapon)
2d10 Damage
17-20 x4 Crit
+5 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

Do they really?

This Empire seems like they aren't all that advanced and that their fleet isn't really that big.

This. I mean, isn't their entire fleet at Endor?

I don't know what their legends stats were - people have been talking about making them a medium base, in which case you'd be lucky to get two in most lists, let alone three very often. So the title would have to be really good in order to compensate for that, not just something like "While attacking, exhaust a copy of this card on another ship to add one die to your attack pool. You cannot attack more than once per round."

They have thousands of Star Destroyers and a powerful set of shipyards continuously churning out more, not to mention the CW surplus. More to the point Lothal pissed Palpy off personally.

The Endor fleet is like thirty ships, dude.

>They have thousands of Star Destroyers and a powerful set of shipyards continuously churning out more, not to mention the CW surplus.

Is it Canon that they have thousands?

And do we know they didn't scrap that surplus?

Is that supposed to be a Dreadnaught or a Carrack?

Once they had control of the galaxy they got rid of 90% of their military and politely asked everyone to disarm.
Obviously.

Actually, they lost the portion of their fleet personal that were actually capable of doing their job.

It's one of the reasons why the Empire is apparently losing whole fleets and having super star destroyers stolen left and right, including by pirates.

What's left is woefully dumb and incapable to the point where it's largely no threat.

in ffg star wars, what do I roll for sexual performance?

NOTHING!
THERE IS NO SEX IN STAR WARS!

Probably Agility.

Piloting (Space).

Let's see...
>Horizon: Zero Dawn
A better origin story for Rey that takes place pre-TFA
>Rainbow Six: Siege

>Tyranny

Then what did Anakin and Padme do? Just stare lovingly into one another's eyes while holding hands?

Yes.

While smiling at each other.

Awkwardly.

AWKWARDLY.

Sexual intercourse in Star Wars has been replaced by plain old wrestling. Anakin impregnated Padme with elbow drops.

Athletics, but with Presence as the base stat.

I will accept this ending only if Ezra's inevitable return is in the Unknown Regions sipping tea with his new blue bff.

So, I mentioned a few threads back that I was toying with the idea of writing a story centering on Countess Ryad, and I think I may be taking it a bit more seriously, but I've got a question on her title. I assume it's an actual noble title, given her original status as an Imperial politician, but she has no stated homeworld. I was thinking either Naboo or Serenno; the latter in particular would be interesting, as perhaps she was part of a faction the Empire rose to power when Serenno surrendered with the rest of the CIS. Her family was given a position of authority on Serenno to replace the original ruling counts.

Building off what said, but maybe either Agility OR Presence as the base stat, depending on which the player prefers.

Dish and blister placement and smaller bridge window make it seem more like a Dreadnought.

>stare lovingly into one another's eyes while holding hands
l-lewd

If Mediums are that much more expensive (Legends numbers it should be Med, being double the Nebulon but LFL has been wiggly with old numbers), it would be more probable then to get a •Katana title to represent the improvements of that model. However having significantly reduced manpower needs in favor of automation translates.

I'd watch Top Starfighter in a heartbeat.

>Super Castlevania IV
An ancient Sith-cursed manor appears periodically on random planets throughout the inner rim for one, long night. On one such night a lone Jedi enters the manor as it appears on Coruscant, seeking to banish the seemingly unkillable Sith Lord Darth Cula.

I don't think the green stripes will look good unless done well. Green on the bluish-gray that is Imps will look a bit odd.

You could always make them really cheap for a medium-base ship, so that fielding multiples wouldn't TOTALLY gimp the rest of the fleet

Good news, user. Check the writefaggotry link in the OP.

>Chopper realizes he's been Dave the entire time
>EXISTENTIAL CRISIS

Accurate.

I joined the CIS so those fucktards Laal and Miriam won't bug me.

>Want to use Tallie in a campaign
>Only game I'm running is GCW-era

Why am I still here? Just to suffer?

Carracks are smaller, more in line with Arqutiens in terms of size. The brief glance at the ship in show makes it seem larger than the latter.

Use Tallie's mom, also named Tallie.

Cute, blonde fighter pilots are a dime a dozen. Just throw her in as a nameless background NPC or something.

wait wait wait....wait.

why the fuck is THRAWN the Indy Jones stand-in?

i need to be red-pilled on this....

>old EU fag, reporting

I suppose it's a play on him being an art collector. Honestly he seems like he'd be more of a Belloq type, helping the armies of evil steal artifacts so he can keep them for his own purposes.

>Alien: Imperial intellliegnce has managed to reclaim the Old Republic prison, and among the specimens preserved in the facility are old Sith spawn that Sheev is dying to recreate. The party is a team of Imps determined to investigate the base's status after a blackout.

Taken from a sandy world
By a set of curious chances;
Into wars clutches hurled,
By ambitious advances;
Wafted by a perilous gale
As ones hope enhances,
To a height that few can scale,
Save by long and weary dances;
surely, never had a male
Under such like circumstances
So adventurous tale
Which may rank with most romances.

That and the white outfit.

>Sharpe's Rifles: An Imperial lieutenant born from poverty takes charge of a lazy and incompetent group of "elite" stormtrooper riflemen, who reject him at first, but forge a bond of friendship as they're sent to liberate the planet Espane IV from Rebel forces and prove their title of 'Chosen Men'.

How are you planning on painting your Legion units /swg/?

Personally, I'm going to keep the Stormtroopers the same, but the Snow Troopers I plan on doing a dark grey, with the unit leaders having a light blue pauldron. This is because I plan on using them as assault units, so I wanted to do them up like that as a nod to the original stormtroopers.

Rebels I'm still looking for neat looking camo patterns to do. I was thinking maybe a dark green, black and white? For fleet troopers I was going to give them dull red helmets rather then the sperm looking helmets. For the AT-RT's I think I'll go with a standard paint scheme, but with faded Republic red along it, maybe the same color as the fleet troopers helmets.

Behold the Lord High Executioner
A personage of noble rank and title -
A dignified and potent officer,
Whose functions are particularly vital!
Defer, defer,
To the Lord High Executioner!
Defer, defer,
To the noble Lord, to the noble Lord,
To the Lord High Executioner!

Blech. TORtanic Belsavis is ass. The rifts are too wide and round and the stone parts of the cliffs are not tall enough. The ratio of rock to ice should either be 50/50 or completely reversed.

Man, that is pedantic thing to complain about.

Where the hell do you think we are?
