Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where the Human Sphere calls for wetwork, and we answer. No greater good. No just cause.
>why are we still here? just to suffer? >every game I can feel my Raiden, and my Shikami, even my Karakuri >the units I've lost, the sectorial I've lost, won't stop hurting >it's like they're all still there >you feel it too, don't you
First attempt. Maybe a little bland, I'm sure this faction has some neat tricks I'm not used to building to. Riot haris with Avicenna seems fun. Raoul is top tier droptroop.
Group two seems a little starved for regular orders, but I guess it's not really the focus. Spector can transfer to 1 and drop in once something dies.
Carter Baker
I see group 2 as doing early objectives with the Hawwa or clearing things like tr bots with the Cateran. Spector probably waiting till something in the main group dies to be brought on, though he could have 4ish orders to work with and using 2 command tokens is a possibility if I feel like there is a gap open to exploit. I'm a little worried about the lack of hacker presence, I have nothing to protect the Grrls.
Evan Flores
>Raoul is top tier droptroop. Pretty expensive. but having BS, mimetism, specialist, drop bears and great CC capability will make him a tremendous asshole to the opposing army.
He's also a reason to use the BS Spetsnaz miniature
Ryder Peterson
How does AD deployment work with Drop Bears?
Do they just cling onto him as he falls to the battlefield?
Or do they have tiny little parachutes of their own?
Kevin Powell
He just carries them, you might be confusing drop bears for crazy koalas. That being said, Corregidor AD troop with Crazy Koalas when?
He seems similar to the Fraacta which I feel is pretty top tier, he can walk on in the most ideal place even if he has to tank a hit (as long as it's not shock). Specialist gives him more than just killing to do, and having CC abilities with E/M2 means he's basically a threat to everything in the game. Having drop bears is the cherry on top.
I hope a little bit of both.
Owen Sullivan
Help me build a punished Yu Jing list, I want to create a negative-fun experience for my opponent. I think 2 Yan Huo neurocinetics, 4 monks, 4 Kuang shi, makes a solid base.
Dominic Hall
If anyone's on Adepticon (or whatever this wek's big con is) and has access to the Uprising book, I'd appreciate a pic of Mr Spector.
Maybe this. It's not actually a good list necessarily, it only has two specialists and a pretty obvious LT. If your opponent goes first and has an assassination unit that can get past the Kuang Shi/TR Bots, you're hosed. But if not: 19 orders, 3 TR bots, 2 Rui Shis, and Su Jian could make for quite a negative-fun experience.
>Spetsnaz I like that, I was thinking about using the SAS with pistol and knife. If I wasn't so lazy I'd do a conversion. What are people's other ideas for Raul?
Jacob Long
I wish I didn't hate Sophotects so much.
Leo Gray
Literally the best specialist in the game. Why you hate?
Jose Murphy
Sorry, but Haqq, PanO and Brawler support packs first.
Liam Scott
I had to go check TR bot availability for ISS, because I didn't believe that they would be allowed 3...
Guess I was wrong.
Not sure 3 is actually worth it, feel like you'd get diminishing returns after the 2nd one.
Maybe swap the 3rd one for a Chain of Command Pheasant?
Carter Mitchell
You'd have to drop the sniffer bot as well to make the points fit.
Evan Cox
The model and the weird UFO boots.
Adrian Roberts
I'm disappointed you cannot Haris Emily with Grrls. CoC would be great here.
You don't have to put the stupid metal ring on her base if you don't want to.
It's separate from the rest of the model.
Wyatt Jones
My friend runs ISS with 3 TR bots. They are all in the 2nd group, all those orders you spend to bring them down he doesn't care. If you don't double tap them he will just bring them back up with the sophotech. Infuriating as fuck.
Proxy with Dactyl?
Adrian Adams
Take that back the CA and Alefu ones look great.
Grayson Baker
The only thing stopping me from running 3 TR bots is not wanting to buy a second remote box.
Anthony Phillips
Doctor Worm's slave drones are ok. I'll give you that.
But I stand by calling the Aleph bots stupid.
Aaron Torres
That's a lot of SWC as well.
Assuming the mandatory Kuang Shi control device that's 3.5 SWC spent before you even get any specialists or active turn pieces.
Isaiah Bennett
The haqq support pack is already new.
Nathan Long
Yeah, you'd have to sacrifice some active turn firepower to get it. You're basically left with 2 SWC for active turn firepower, since you really should be taking the Celestial Guard hacker so you can buff them when you have so many. However, it does help that ISS has some really strong 0 SWC active turn shooters. Crane Multi-rifle and Father Sforza come to mind.
Brayden Lee
Could always go for the Hsien LT and get the +1 SWC?
MSV2 Multi Rifle through smoke is nothing to sniff at either.
Sebastian Hernandez
Besides, Haqqislam's getting the Hakim and an accompanying Nasmat. That's pretty close to a new support pack.
Use the Gui Feng Spec Ops, Convert from the Zhanshi SWC, or just use Tokusetsu
Julian Thompson
Motion to call vanilla Yu Jing ISS+
Jose Richardson
Cordinate order.... dakka dakkax3.... cordinated order 3 mines droped in to objective room, cordinated order and 6 mines in the objective room.
Nathan Stewart
Vanilla Yu Jing is still where its at.
The only thing ISS has going for it is linkable Celestial Guard, and the Sophotect.
Hac Tao, Guilang, Dao Fei, Yan Huo, and Tiger Soldiers are all worth playing vanilla for.
Plus, from a fluff perspective the ISS are now confirmed as fucking inept.
I really like the internal balance between the riot grrl link and the brigada link in StarCo. Both cost around the same but they both have their advantages and trade-offs
Evan Walker
Unfortunately you can link Knauf with them for Fireteam: Happy Family.
>Star Co and Ikari don't have a lot of Lt. options period Gotta keep up the theme of Corregidor 2.0
I think they should give the non-ad version of Raoul Spector a Lt. option. As is I don't think the Harris is enough reason to spend 3 more points on him to lose AD
Benjamin Green
For anybody wondering: 4 for StarCo, 3 for Ikari.
Julian Ortiz
They make Corregidor look good in comparison.
Juan King
Non-COC Nippon Nazis for your Keisotsu fireteams if you want them running around. Nippon Nazi + Oda + 3 Keisotsu can be pretty functional as an active turn link.
Domaru LT remains your best LT like before, he often sits in the deployment zone with HaramakinowTanko Missile Launcher link.
Oniwaban is an assassin straight and simple, do not making your LT. If you LT is in hidden deployment you just go into LoL, COC only works on isolate and null.
Daiyokai is one of your big gun shooters, but he still needs to get within 24 inches to do the job real well. The O-Yoroi is better but more expensive. You can take the Daiyokai but have a plan to get him into his good range. Probably smoke or killing long range AROs with Oniwabans.
Justin Bailey
> 1st Nomad CoC, best utilization is a MB. Seems about right.
Isaac Smith
Ikari in particular is pretty awful. Assassination seems like a really solid strategy against them. Just kill any of the vanilla Brawlers or Druze on the board unless they appear to be missing SWC.
I would probably choose two between Oniwaban, Tanko Fireteam, and Daiyokai. Dump one of them for more points. Add more specialist/versatility to your Keisotsu squad. Maybe buy a second missile for Tanko if you can. Maybe I would settle on one link team, you'll burn your command tokens quick with two.
Landon Morris
You have nobody who can push buttons. Also if you're linking your Domaru then your Keisotsu are going to be standing around holding their dick for the whole game. And because they're in a different combat group they can't even contribute their orders to the link team as cheerleaders.
Jayden Miller
He might play superior 20x20 or equal YAMS instead of ITS.
John Price
Massacre should have had an Lt option in StarCo.
Alexander Torres
YAMS is pretty fun, tbqh.
Isaac Martin
I would Haris link the Daiyokai with 2 domaru. Including the forward observer.
That gives you a tough fireteam with a specialist to move up and push buttons.
You can also abuse the way AROs work against fire teams to get your Domaru into assault range unmolested.
That should be cheaper on points and let you core link your kempeitai and Keisotsu without draining all your command tokens through breaking and forming link shenanigans l.
Brayden Green
I still prefer it to ITS, but there's some definitely jank in its crank. Really, though, I'd take anything and everything over ITS. No-one at the store even gives a shit about it anymore, and we all just play 20x20 after giving it and YAMS several tries.
Wyatt Mitchell
I like YAMS a lot for just good fun with friends. It can get really random so it might be unbalanced sometimes, depending on how objectives are dolled out, but it's just off the wall fun as long as you aren't taking the game super seriously. I like 20x20 too, I just wish it had some form of classified personal objectives like ITS/YAMS. I still like playing all the systems a lot.
Adam Jenkins
The problem I'm running into is that Tanko can't be run as a fireteam on their own, their core fireteam requires two Domaru and then gets filled out with 1-3 Tanko.
I could drop one Tanko completely and change out the second one to a ML as well, but then I lose the 5-man fireteam bonus. How valuable is the +3 BS on the team leader? Does the +1 burst make up for it, since chain rifles and MLs are both direct template weapons?
Also maybe I'm misunderstanding how fireteams work, if I have two missile launcher Tanko can they both fire using only one order? I thought only the team leader gets to shoot in a fireteam.
If I drop the Ryuken I can add a single Domaru to form a Duo with the Daiyokai but getting a Haris is going to be a little difficult. Double double-ML from the Tankos should be able to molest pretty much everything in sight, so it's okay if the Ryuken gets dropped, right? Does it make more sense to make the Domaru in the Duo the LT in that situation?
>if I have two missile launcher Tanko can they both fire using only one order? They can't, the point is to make them a nasty ARO option that's also hard to remove.
Jaxon Lopez
Nah Mexican Deadpool cant keep the whole group going while he is down regenerating. Just look at that fireteam comp; HMG MB gets mangled by a nasty DA shot, Massacre is looking down like > Ese you okay? Catgirl I think he needs fixing >*Angry Swahili noises* Then because Luchopool has no sense of self preservation and was standing in the open during this exchange, ends up eating bullets too so he is on the ground without the middle of his torso. Now MultiMB and Combi MB look at each other, sigh and go on supressive fire. Through much cursing the HMG MB is resuscitated and incredibly grateful to the irate feline while Senor Dead isn't so dead and feeling like he's had a mild hang over but see's HMG is getting back on his feet for the good fight. >Ay cabron! You're alive!
Adrian Butler
Alright I can see you are new so despite me being a salty YJ player I'm going to show you this list I made in 5 minutes, explain what the things in it do, and give you an idea on the basics of list building. I don't even know if this is a great list since I just threw it together, but here is the logic behind it.
Keisotsu Core. It's mostly there for orders and AROs. The missile launchers are threatening even on shitty 10 BS guys, the link bonuses help them out here. They're pretty cheap otherwise. The forward observers are there to maybe throw more AROs out or get objectives late in the game. The Kempeitai is just there for chain of command.
Domaru/Daiyokai Haris. This is your powerful attack team in this list. It has a lot of strength behind it, and once it gets into midfield it should be able to really tear things apart. Even when the Daiyokai goes down, the Domaru can then run around chain rifling or assault people. The LT will probably die too, but it doesn't matter if you keep the Kempeitai in your deployment zone safe.
Doctor is just there because she is cheap and can heal up your guys. Maybe she will heal some of the HI, or maybe bring back Keisotsu missile launchers who went down. It's helpful and another specialist.
Shinobu is really important to this list. She is a very powerful assassin and she also brings smoke. She can superior infiltrator onto your enemey's side and then do whatever she wants on the active turn. It could be anything from cutting an MSV sniper in half or smoke grenading an enemy link team so your Haris team can move forward.
Ryuken is here kind of just to help you put a claim down on midfield. She starts near the middle and puts a mine out too. She can take down enemy infiltrators or just run into a good place to go into suppressing fire.
Ninja Hacker is here for a mid-field specialist. You probably don't want to use her until turn 2 or 3. She doesn't have a lot of orders currently to do a lot. What you want to do with her is transfer her to group 1 in turn 2 or 3 once things have died off, and then have her use those orders to run around completing objectives. She can also melee people and kill hackers, if those opportunities come up.
Keisotsu is just there to give another order to the Ryuken. Warcor is just there to be an ARO nuance. There, that's the logic of the list. Hopefully that helps you out some, and I would advise you to look into other resources on how the game works and how to build a decent army.
Daniel Martin
>don't realize Cutter has HFT once in N2
Fucking newfag i swear
And what part of "...they need to remove..." you don't understand. Do i need to teach you some basic english again?
Cooper Brown
I need more of this.
Adrian Ward
What do they need to remove if he doesn't have a HFT? Or did you mean they needed to remove?
He's talking the in present tense though, which is where the confusion is coming from. If he had said needed to removed, it would have made sense. But he said need to be removed, like it was something that needed to be done now.
Noah Butler
Then he should have used past tense.
Samuel Hill
I understand cutterfag, I understand. But no, I will ram all flame weapons up your TO mecha asshole whenever I can.
Kayden Roberts
Allright, so i'm waiting for this boys to come around next month. What do you guys think about them rule wise? Any suggestion on how to build a list around them?
Wu Ming Haris, Keisotsu core seem like my jam in its simplicity and solid effectiveness. Not much excited for the Druze or Brawlers in it, and Tanko don't really mesh well for me (or maybe I'm just irked Haramaki died for them).
Christian Edwards
Yeah, they're AnFems. It'd be the Reverend Mothers that would probably try to kill Avicenna as some sort of abomination.
Noah Hughes
They're both pretty good. Just remember they will be the focus of the lists, so most of the other stuff will be cheap links and orders. Don't skimp on hacking support though, Killer Hackers are good friends of TAGs.
