>What changes would you like to see be made to elves and elven culture in PF2.0?
It won't happen but something more interesting than just having one boring isolationist nation on avistan

Any tricks for a reach-polearm Magus?

I would like there to be more elves, and for them to all be either sissy cocksluts or dominatrices

>Paizo gives us their rendition of Warhammer High Elves and Aen Elle “evil” Elves

Better?

Bro

Why can't I have big boobed submissive girls who need to venture out into the world to find mates of other races because elves are all female?

I want the Sovyrian Stone to activate, ushering forth an expeditionary force of Castroval Elves who assert control over Kyonin as the colony it always was. Now we’ve got the Elves ascendant in the Lake Encarthan region, if not all of Avistan.

Changed it after the suggestion last thread.

I found these guys:
>d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/humanoids/giants/troll/troll-flood

So they are sort of like trolls, but only have regeneration when in water or when it rains. My PCs are traveling cross country, so it is sort of a 'find some town, do thing for town' kind of game while they slowly head towards their goal. My idea is a set of twin Flood Trolls recently moved into a bog near the town, and each time it rains they make their way from the bog to try and grab people from the town to drag them away to their bog, presumedly to eat them.

What the PCs would find is that the flood trolls are actually grabbing people and sacrificing them in a dim attempt to curry favor with their scrag parent to allow them back into the family higher up in the mountains. They have basically constructed a weird mini-cult and scriptures that venerate their own grandmother, the one who originally cast them out for being runts, as a sort of vengeful god. The party can solve the issue by just killing the two of them, but in order to do so they need to go into the flood troll's half submerged mud burrows inside the bog.

I plan on having a few of the potential sacrifices still alive, including an unlucky merchant they grabbed. Also the second layer of the conspiracy is one of the people found claims that people have been getting 'sacrificed'. Turns out three people were sacrificed on orders of the mayor to obscure their murders as 'disappearances'. The guy the PCs find is the fiancee of the mayor's daughter. Turns out a much better prospect came along which would pull a lot of money into the town, but the mayor couldn't call off the wedding. Instead he and the local burghers hatched a plan to get rid of the boy. They unfortunately had to also get rid of another who stumbled onto the plan, and one of their fellow burghers who got cold feet.

How does that sound?

given the closest times they come to interesting is ripping off warhammer 40k for starfinder... could be good, who knows.
>high elves and space elves
Technically kyonin elves are a really boring version of space elves since they returned from their exodus, right?

Kyonin Elves are the colonists, I thought? The Sovyrian Stone was there before Earthfall. My point with the Space Elves is giving us a spooky race of iron-clad assholes whose Wild Hunts are a prelude to the imperialist ambitions they hold towards the planet.

Yeah. sounds good. Space elves works, though you could get a bit of the similar vibe by having an offworld surviving colony of the azlanti invade.
But, point is, there's plenty of room to do more things, for sure.

Playing a different class, since you can't spellcombat.

Are Prestige Classes worth it of consideration or is it better to stick with your class?

depends and depends

Only one, and its feat intensive. You need to play a Staff Magus, then take all the feats needed to get the Spear Dancing Spiral.

So...which prestige classes are good and which ones should one avoid?

depends on your build. there's no sure-fire PRCs to take except maybe evangelist on a caster.

Evangelist is amazing, exalted is pretty great if you're a spellcaster. I think most of them are kind of complete shite though, and you should never really give up spellcasting progression by going into another class or a prestige class.

Did the edit make it better?

Alternatively; armored battlemage. Though it kind of sucks dick in comparison to regular magus, atleast you don't need to worry about spellcombat since armored battlemage doesn't have it.

How the fuck are you doing it? Using Martial Versatility and Quarterstaff Master (I assume using some monk weapon)? Mindblade?

If you have access to SoM, one-handing a polearm is only one talent away.

Bladed Brush

Is there any way to make an object enchant or disenchant another object instantaneously? Like enchanting something to be weightless instantly, and having a different object that disenchants instantly?

That doesn't let you wield it in one hand, though.

The War for the Crown player's guide is finally out

>When wielding a glaive, you can treat it as a one-handed piercing or slashing melee weapon and as if you were not making attacks with your off-hand for all feats and class abilities that require such a weapon
Spell combat is such a class ability.

>Noble scion can now be used to get EWP Elven Curve Blade
nice

Suddenly every Paladin in the game is a noble scion from house Karthis

or you could just use nodachi

>Getting high level scrolls and potions for free once a week

Das sum good shit, niggas.

or you could just use falchion

Can we cut this "Paizo Games General" charade? Literally no one cares about Starfinder or wants to talk about it

Is there a 1PP feat that allows an Oracle's non-Oracle levels to count as full Oracle levels for their curse instead of as only half Oracle levels? I vaguely remember something like that existing but I can't find it now. I'm interested in taking it, if possible, for a Pact Wizard since that archetype gives an Oracle curse that you only ever advance as far effective 10th Oracle level.

Nope and you can fuck right off if you want to.

Read the pact wizard curse again, bud.

>Literally sitting down for a Starfinder session right now
Eat shit.

We talked about it literally last thread, shitnugget.

It's barely an upgrade over talking EWP, and EWP is typically easier to get

Doesn't even work for a rogue, which is the only class that actually wants to use the curved blade.

"At 5th level, the pact wizard chooses one oracle curse, using 1/2 his character level as his effective oracle level when determining the effects of this curse."

Is this the part you meant? I don't see anything else in the ability that has anything to do with what your effective level for the curse is.

You'd have to VMC Oracle to get the full power of a curse by level 20.

Balls, that must be what I was thinking of. Oh well. I can't spare THAT many feats and I don't think I'd want to make that trade even if I could (especially when Pact Wizard already gives up all the wizard's bonus feats), but it's okay. I'm sure I can still find a decent option among the curses.

Thanks for the help, user.

Ah my bad, I thought it got a feature at level 10 that made your effective oracle level 5 higher.

The existing version of the feat already has that option. Most people who care enough about cheating Paladins are already archers though.

Designing a CORPSEC deathsquad to fight my players at the end of the campaign.

Dude in the middle is an android/SRO and is the same make and model as one of the players.
I'm looking forward to a "which one do I shoot" scenario.

No fucking CON penalties
No fucking CON penalties
No fucking CON penalties

Removed from the game as a PC race

If Paizo does the same shit as 5e with their elves, like you know they want to do, actually have someone smart sit down and think about the greater biological and social implications of a long-lived species being able to switch genders.

Naturally, they're not going to do that and just have Crystal and Amber sit down and suck each other off.

Seconding so fucking hard jesus fuck. Alternatively, at bare minimum alternate racial scores, though I think they might be doing Starfinder-esque chargen in 2e so maybe it won't even matter, so long as the PB isn't shit.

The majority of Elves can’t switch genders, it’s a divine gift.

I want them gone. Completely.

That picture always bothers me because warcraft elves, which those are supposed to be, are the worst example of feminine male elves and is just nyt misrepresenting. Actually i don't think I have ever seen overly effeminite male elves anywhere except in memes and porn.

The undead race from Pact Worlds blows, and so will the mechs if they ever get around to releasing them.

Attached: 1521759923305.png (719x937, 1.48M)

Well, it's relative, compared to Night Elves or humans they are really effeminate.

>his perception of fantasy races isn't completely sourced from memes and porn

Sensitive ears and tails, feminine elves, and everything wanting human dick is pretty common around here.

By being more lean and having blonde hair and silly hair styles. Being more effeminate than something more masculine doesn't make something feminine. Or, going with warcraft comparisons still, would you say that male trolls are feminine because they aren't as masculine as male orcs?

Shouldn't the fey coming directly from Faerie/Arcadia/Twilight Summer's Realm/the Feywild be considered outsiders?

Attached: 3y3c6ojosq5qn1u1x0boctpyx.jpg (652x408, 67K)

No. The First World is more complicated because it isn't a plane In the same sense as something like Hell.

Vermin should also be a subtype of animal.

so should magical beasts

And humanoids.

you and me are just animals baby

Human males are apparently all brick shithouses in Warcraft though.

To be fair, pretty much all the men are brick shithouses in WoW.

That's because Warcraft, or more specifically Blizzard's character design is OFTEN HORSESHIT.

I like the basic idea of Blizzard's character design, i just hate the execution.

Joe Madureira's art in Battle Chasers and Darksiders is what big, chunky, and colorful ought to look like.

Alright /pgg/ how do I make the best illusionist possible? Gnome? Sorcerer? Wizard? 1PP only

If you're hard focusing into illusions anyways, pick gnome sorcerer with that one bloodline that ups illusion DC. Atleast I thought there was one, might have gotten it mixed up though.

Hit level 8 tonight. Two more levels and this will the highest level campaign I've ever had

Attached: konosuba.png (1280x720, 879K)

As far as I can tell, there isn't one

Shadow kind of works, if you want to hide while casting illusions.

Yeah that seems to be the closest one, it's a pretty good one although the umbral version is much better. Although an illusionist wizard can get some neat things like the Extended Illusions school power, and the Resilient Illusions and Observant Illusion arcane discoveries.

How big is too big?

10 or 11

Don't listen to , he's clearly retarded. The correct answer is 12, obviously.

I've gotten to the point that my character is so well developed and involved in the plot that when I said "Yeah after this mission if he dies I actually wouldn't mind that much" the GM and another player straight told me
>"No user, your character isn't nearly close to the end of his arc, he can't die yet"

I wonder what it must be like to be a fucking shit roleplayer whose character doesn't have a major stake or role in the main plot and could potentially ruin it if they arbitrarily died

Attached: 1501825263653.jpg (640x576, 39K)

>except in memes and porn
Which is pretty much the sum total of Veeky Forums's "culture." Dwarf obsession, elf hate, wizards being insane and amoral, goblins being baby-crazy, all of it is pretty much groundless joking around and porn references that other people were too stupid not to start taking seriously.

What's the most broken thing I can do using only Core at just level 5?

I got a question, what makes PoW Warders have a reputation for being 'invincible' or 'unkillable' anyway? Whats the trick or exploit I am missing?

Personally I feel like it would be interesting if elves were put in a racial role that are not traditionally 'elven'. What if elves were not the high and mighty magical race or the in tune with nature race? Stuff like that

>Be a Beast Rider Halfing Cavalier
>Ride a medium Tyrannosaurus
>Only primary melee fighter in the party
>Most fights end up with me going down and the rogue barely able to drag me to safety
>Then we hit level 7
>Dinosaur gains like eight STR and gets double STR bonus to damage, as well as a free grapple
>Literally overnight my mount became twice as big and three times as powerful
>Wrestling bears to the ground and shanking them to death

I know the GM is gonna mix up enemy groups to make this less useful, but god damn did that one session feel good. I felt like a god instead of the worlds smallest meat shield for once

Attached: dinosaur_riders_wip_by_uncannyknack-daqcu4c.jpg (1024x576, 227K)

sounds awesome!

>What if elves were not the high and mighty magical race or the in tune with nature race? Stuff like that

But then what would they be.

>But then what would they be
Hopefully a race with a real identity instead of a few poorly distilled stereotypes

So I've read through pact worlds and man is it disappointing.
> only 8 new feats
> no new classes
> very few new weapons - no radiation gun yet
> still no good non weapon items
> power armour is still a cluster fuck
> book is disorganized - themes shouldn't be spread over 40 pages
> half of the new races suck ass

At least we get playable robots now. And launch tubes/data net can make for a cool rogue squadron campaign. Also the blatant 40k cathedral ship ripoff is kind of cool

What if we made them master smiths who live in the setting's version of Scandinavia?

Attached: 1448253875993.jpg (1280x720, 80K)

Attached: slap.png (303x362, 92K)

They wouldn't have the stereotypes if they didn't have an identity. The problem with elves isn't conceptual, it's always a matter of execution.

This, Warhammer and LotR embraced the stereotypes and we're still meme-ing about Silmarils or Lumberfoots. Trying to subvert a classic racial stereotype is like trying to work against the grain of a log - you could certainly do it, but it's going to come out all rough and shitty.

> half of the new races suck ass
Bantrids are the weird option that exists just to be the weird option, Borais were advertised as the undead option but are about as meaningfully undead as androids are robots, and... I'm going with Khizar being completely blind past 30 feet.

At least we got robots, yeah.

I do like the shapeshifting starfishes though. Probably because Iike Odo. The penis monsters suck, the 'undead' suck, the plant people are cool only because they remind me of the Codemaster from ReBoot, the robots are good, and strix are fucking dumb, as they always have been

Starfish are the other good ones, yeah. More like them in the future and fewer like the self-propelled dick or the bait-and-switch 'undead' would be great.

What classes/races would you add toa group that already has a human gunslinger, a human armored barbarian, a dwarf armored hunslinger and a switch-hitter tiefling?

So has anyone made a lewd War for the Crown game yet? Maybe called Whore for the Crown or something?

>Maybe called Whore for the Crown or something?
Oh please, there's no reason to make it so crass. The game is about being agents of the Pun Princess with lots of political intrigue and social combat, the lewd makes itself.

I still want to make puns with the princess!

I've been using rapid shot like manyshot but with a -2 all this time from levels 1-6. Time to tell everyone before it's time to take manyshot so i can stack them properly and not get complaints.
