Also, Tether said in 2016 that they were being audited, then they admitted that was not true. In 2017 they said the same thing, and now it's 2018 and nothing yet. Don't you think this is a bit odd?

Not really. As long as it is being traded, it has value. And despite the larger supply it rises. Sure if everybody would sell usdt for usd it would lose to usd, but there is nothing like an usd/usdt pair. Just cash out on normie base if you don't have the balls and want to stay poor
