CFD mainly hit "smart" and "early" investors who were chasing the next low-cap. While there were warnings about the team, many of them were active on Plebbit shilling it everywhere. It must be said that the person/people behind Confido were highly intelligent and what they pulled off was impressive, in its detail and awareness. Remember how the team clarified that they were going to use LINK in the beta but not the alpha release? It was well-done.

BitConnect is just sad and depressing. It was so transparently fraudulent and so blatantly targeted at low-hanging fruit that it just doesn't require anywhere near the same skill and execution. Also, many of those responsible have exposed themselves publicly. The CFD guys on the other hand are away and free.
