Smaller houses might also have less to steal. Windows would obviously be closed. Sure it might be a bit easier to break into container houses but it's not like it's not pretty trivial already for brick houses too, especially if you have a gun.

something like this would make more sense. first floor = garage, 2nd floor = actual house. stair on the side so you can access house from the outside. will be considerably safer too since no open window and shit

I hate stairs though. There's just something about living and sleeping on same level as the land that appeals to me. Being able to walk out from my bedroom directly to the yard is huge plus.
