Anyone been to prison here? How'd you make money after you got out?

Anyone been to prison here? How'd you make money after you got out?

Just spitballing but you'd probably have to take some shitty work until you can afford to start your own business, because nobody hires convicts.

Yea that's what I thought, must be a nightmare

Nobody really cares if you are good at what you are doing.
My past employer found out about month later when I started working there. He just made some jokes about it and never talked about it again.
My current employer probably doesnt even know and he would, he woudnt care anyway.

so basically you're stuck with blue collar serfdom

Same way how i got locked up in the first place.

Pimping out your mom

I was imprisoned for various fraud related charges in late 2010 to late 2015. I had my private key stored in an email account.

I went in as a man with nothing, nothing to my name other than some fucking internet coins that I had got from various Veeky Forums threads, and other random jobs online, as well as some that I bought just to play around with like a game. The entire reason I was in prison was for being poor, and refusing to accept my situation, and deciding to change that in any way I could. Growing up I didn't even have a bed to sleep on, I starved occasionally, and was sleeping on the streets before 15 years old.

Anyway cut a long story short, during my time in prison I became a multi-millionaire and couldn't tell a single soul. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do in practice? It almost killed me. But yeah, this is the first time I've ever written this out or spoke about it with anyone ever. That's my story.

I hope you can find a way through life too, my friend.

No but I did 90 days in county jail. I just went back to my old job.

I dont believe your larp.

If true, I can relate actually, not about prison but about secret wealth. I've also got a networth of 1mm+ & not a single person knows the real truth. I don't find it hard to keep it a secret though. Hoping for 6 or 7 figures from crypto this year, I won't tell a soul if I make it.

That's kind of a great story though, that you made it while in prison. What was it like inside? Which country?

I hope ill become a secret millionare someday. Glad that you made it

I got out of FCI Coleman about 3 years ago after doing a 26 month bid. Since it was federal, I had to go to a halfway house for a few months before going home. While there I took a shit landscaping job where I busted my ass daily for like 10 bucks an hour. This was July in Florida. When I got out of the halfway house, I told my PO I was going to run some affiliate sites and she was cool with it. After doing that for a while and ramping it up to a couple of thousand a month, I jumped into crypto. I got off of probation about 6 months ago and have been doing great ever since.
Now I bring in about 10k a month in my underwear. It's fucking beautiful.

Sweet, Seems like crypto is really saving people. Sounds hardcore though.

Now this is a legit post. Good job, bro.

What's fed prison like? As easy as people say? Are there race politics?

Crypto is what I've been looking for my entire life and if Giancarlo is correct about 50x market growth in the next few years, we've already made it. Every one of us.
Federal prison is a piece of cake. Especially the camps and the minimum security yards. Everybody in the lower security joints are too scared to fight or start shit since they'll just get packed off to a big boy yard where they really don't want to be. And there are no racial politics of any kind. No gangs. Nothing. Now, you get to a medium yard or a penitentiary and all bets are off. They'll chew you up and spit you out. Fortunately I didn't experience that first hand.
Basically all I did all day was hang out with my buddies, practice playing the guitar, work out, and study some programming books my people sent in to me. It was a piece of cake. Like living the life of an aristocrat you just can't leave. And the food wasn't even half bad.

I should add the only problem with minimum security is the yard is full of child molesters and kiddy porn people. I'd say half the population was for that shit. We shunned those people though. When they came in the TV room, we'd shut the TVs off until they left. Everybody hates child molesters in the joint so if you have anything like that OP, you're in for a bad time. They won't beat you up at the minimum but they will make you miserable.

Sweet. I've only done county jail time in california and it's shit.

Yeah hanging with pedos would be lame. In county jail youre expected to do violence to them if the opportunity presents itself. But I'd rather have to share a dayroom with pedos than have to bow down to some wood rep who tells me I have to do 200 burpies everyday

That's interesting., aside from not being able to leave & it not being comfy, that general lifestyle is how anyone can live if they make it. Sometimes you get threads on here from anons who have made it & still aren't happy, who have everything but can't find meaning in anything. There's no way I'm comparing that kind of luxury to prison, but it does seem like in a weird circular kind of way, there are similarities. Maybe I'm just tripping tho

Haha. Yeah, I did a little time in Arizona once and it was the woods. The politics in the county jail there was ridiculous. The woods, the chicanos, the paisas, the chiefs and the blacks. Of course I was much younger then so I actually enjoyed it. I was even the "head" of the woods in one of the pods I was in at Maricopa county jail. Those were some times man.

been to prison 3 times
working as an information security consultant. nobody gives a fuck if you are good at what you do

i know someone who got locked up in 2003 for 5 years for grievous bodily harm, guy is now a qualified doctor with his own practice, this is in the UK though, not sure how it works across the pond.

how do you do 10k a month in crypto? day trading? jesus please i want to get good.

If you have alot of money then its possible

I make a living trading ramen noodles and honey buns, nets me a cool $5 a week plus a bag of coffee.
But really, prospects after prison aren’t that bad unless you expect to gain employment at a firm where reputation and trust matters. In other words don’t expect to be an investment banker with a securities fraud conviction.
You can still make it in industries that you’re qualified to work in. Skills are still skills regardless of who has them. Most people fuck it up by getting involved with the people they knew before incarceration, the same people who got you locked up. Ditch them and anyone you knew inside. Poisons

Yep, day trading. But I'm fucking dedicated and apparently I'm halfway decent at it. 16 hour days mostly 6 days a week. Bear in mind though like was alluding to, 10k a month is impressive if you have 50k. Not so much if you have 500k. Just say I haven't made it yet so 10k is pretty good. This time next year I hope to be making a lot more though, lemme tell you, the more you have, the harder it is to keep the percentages up. Fills get a lot harder after a while.

Then you are doing great, hope we both have a good 2018.

I have a 'friend' who recently got out of prison after 7 years now..

Now he makes money by breaking open cars and stealing what is inside the car
