How does Veeky Forums make their hash browns?
Hashbrowns
Other urls found in this thread:
boil potato
mash potato
ground paprika, cumin and coriander
salt and pepper
bit of red onion
make into a small patty
flour
deep fry
Just buy the frozen ones, they're like 75 cents for a big ass bag.
Rather make home fries instead.
>grate potato
>squeeze out the moisture
>fry in a hot cast iron skillet
>salt and pepper
I do this bitch's method of hash browns, and they come out pretty good.
It's kind of annoying drying out the potatoes though. Is there an easier way to do that

frozen shredded potatos?
Bake potatoes, cool potatoes, skin potatoes, shred them up, season. Fry nice and extra crispy in bacon fat. A little sausage gravy on top don't hurt either
I go to McDonalds and order one :^)
Precisely.
Is it still a hash brown if you mash the potato? Feels like it would be something else.
Potato cakes
I go to a local greasy spoon. Hashbrowns are only good if somebody else makes them for you, and ideally after a rough night.
With lots of ketchup, some good eggs, and a tall long glass of milk.
It helps if your waitress is a flirty old cougar. Don't ask me why, it's magic.
I do the same. JCC is pretty helpful, I wish she made more videos though.
I use this. It's surprisingly good. I still wish I had a Waffle House nearby though. Their hash browns are great.
How do you season them?
Salt and pepper.
If I'm feeling it, S&P and a pinch of garlic powder. But usually just S&P
Hot pan
Can you bake them in the oven?
If so, could you prep them, then freeze them then cook whenever you want?
I have never been able to make good hashbrowns. Somebody please tell me how.
oil and hot pan, retard
thats how you brown things
Sounds like a croquet
Waffle house hashbrowns are pretty much the same shit. Dehydrated and come in a carton just like that.
Oil in.
Season it first.
beautifully done.
I seriously baked potatoes twice this week for hashbown craving.
You need at least a tablespoon of fat, when the fat starts to smoke, pull it off the burner and add your taters, when you put the pan back over the flame you might want to turn the heat down med-medlow.
Don't mess with it for four minutes. Use your spatula to see if it crispy/dark enough for you. If it is, flip it and not with a spatula, it will fall apart. Gotta do it like the cartoons do flapjacks. Most of the fat will be soaked up already so don't be afraid.
Four more minutes and your a hash brown master
If there's no garlic and chili powder on mine they just feel naked to me.
MEIN NEGER
substitute ketchup for hot sauce and you're completely on the right track.
>Mic so clear your can hear the saliva in her mouth with every syllable.
Guh-rose.
MMMM
Delicious. My goodness.
Dice a potatoe.
Boil until soft
Drain
Heat oil
Add potatoe to oil
Fry
Note: do not over-load the pan
It takes too many rolls of paper towels to dry them properly
this is how i do it, but they always seem a little gummy, do you have that problem?
