Is anyone else /making it/?

Curious to see what everyone is doing and if you've made any progress.

Fuck no, but dont ever stop trying

i have a job, live with my gf, with make about $120k combined and our rent is only $650/mth.

i have enough to survive comfortably. i'm just really bored all the time.

Not even close.. 8k portfolio

But I still think I'll make it.

to be 100% rn.... i'm never going to sell my crypto... but i went in too deep and now i'm getting hit with credit card interest. i'm putting in 90 hour weeks rn just to keep up

i am the self realization of making it

>my $1,750 is now almost $1,000
Doesn't matter, the only thing to do is be smart now

i uninstalled blockfolio last week but last i checked my shitcoins were still above $100k

now i think i just have to play the waiting game..though i probably just jinxed all of it

went from 1k to $250
got in at the worst possible time
but crypto is about the long game right?

I think I'm well-positioned for success at this point, but things can change instantly. Invested around $40k in crypto last Nov and hit a peak of 550k, sitting at a $180k right now. I think another big bull run might take me close to a $1m. But my cash out target (leaving 30% in crypto) is around $4-$5m

I just got a raise today. I should be able to make $160k+ this year if I pick up 2 extra shifts a month.
Cryptos are doing alright lately. I'm only down 20% from my ATH in January.
All I need now is a quality qt3.14 to really feel /made/ in 2018.

I remember using this pic for the best thread ever on last month... I'm somewhat making it. Hopefully I'll be able to move to Colombia from Venezuela on Q2.

I've helped a lot in the house thanks to crypto. The fact I'm like 50% down from my ATH does not worry me either. I also got into a few ICOs that seemed good so let's see how that goes. Last year I had nothing and I'm thankful for what I've got by myself and by the kindness of other people.

OP Here, Didn't want to put a humblebrag in the OP but here's where I'm at and I'm wondering what you guys think I should do next, or what would be sensible as far as another business to enter.

>dropped out of uni
>quit shitty retail job
>kept same apartment and car as before
>started renting office space downtown
>best friends and I are working on three different websites to release at the end of the month
>currently sitting at 15 social media management clients, mainly local high-end restaurants
>three ecommerce sites going, each in different niches.

I want to start real estate but I have no idea where to start. Does anyone have any knowledge of the real estate market in Tampa?

also keep in mind im 19

How much do you have left in the bank to play with? And why do you feel the need to rent office space so early?

Are you doing import for the ecommerce sites or what

I reached 50k link today. I made it

I'm unemployed, but want to start my own business with my CS degree. Currently exploring options.

the only thing i am making is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in my parents kitchen

literally just because it's fun. It costs me the entirety of one social media client to pay for it.

Basically here are the expenses:

Each client is anywhere from $750-$1500 a month, in total the agency grosses an average of $1025 per client. In total that's $13500 monthly. I am 100% in charge of that business and it is essentially automated. I have one friend whom I pay hourly to help create content. In total after taxes I make about 9k per month from it.

Also I have just under 20k in the bank but I want to save that money to go into real estate. Everything is really coming together, user. And that doesn't even include ecommerce, which I am just using to up my savings.

My expenses are about $3k per month between rent, my car(which I spend a little more than I should desu), insurance(I'm still on my parents insurance so I pay them directly), and any other money I set aside to be in my checking account.

yeah everything is stuff that's suggested on Theive and listed on aliexpress

How did you get started? I'm in a similar bad situation and want to get started with social media etc. (different city than you, don't worry) and was wondering how you got clients/got started.

Went from $26k to $10k. Now just stuck there

So I mentioned in another thread that both of my parents are entrepreneurs and kind of "cut me loose" when I was 18 to continue running my businesses and live at home, so rent wasn't an issue. It worked out for all of us because my stepdad can save his VA benefits for my sister and stepbrother, who are certainly not entrepreneurs. Basically, they told me I have a computer, I have my shitty job stocking fruit at Publix, and I have my 20 year old camry to get wherever I need to go. And if I fuck it all up, I can always stack fruit and be a NEET.

Obviously, fuck that shit.

My dad is a local sports radio talk show host. I cold called every single one of his advertisers by hacking my dad's icloud(I use that word loosely, his password was "password1") and getting all of his contacts, and cross-referencing that with each of the people advertising on his show.

From there, I built a site(that I'd rather not post, but if you're interested shoot me your telegram and I'll link you) and from there went on to meet with as many people form that list as possible.
On top of that, I offered each person a referral bonus where, for every paying client you sent my way, I'd do a month of work for free. This works WONDERS.

Then I just started pouring the savings from that into ecommerce.

>work
>get home
>masturbate
>watch anime
>masturbate again
>sleep
i-i think i made it

How much capital did you need to start? How do you generate traffic vs Amazon FBA? You mail stuff out yourself or drop ship?

What services do you offer for social media? I'm thinking of setting up something similar here. Surely it's not just running their FB page, do you do their websites as well?

Always dropship. My intial advertising budget was $1k and that's pretty high.

It would be kind of cool to get like 5,000 phone cases shipped to my condo lobby and have people wonder what the fuck was going on.

When I was in college for the first semester before I dropped out, my roommate(a youtuber) got 15 pallettes of Arizona tea shipped to our dorm and it was the funniest shit of all time

Yep, but I charge them extra to build a website. You can charge them $750 to start(which is also what I charge for management of their social media and website following completion), invest in a wordpress theme for $60 and pocket the rest.

Also check out Sprout Social. It's well worth the investment.

Wait you charge $750/year?

Let me get this straight

$750/year for social media + website management
$750 to make the website

Or am I misinterpreting your fee schedule?

Do you cold call, or email, or drop in in person?

How do you handle returns? Where did you spend the ad money?

Ill die before I stop trying

I make 20$ a week, and only have 23 XLM

hell I've been eating bread all this month because fucking country salary is less than 5$ a month, am i going to make it? ;_;

Oh hell no, $750-$1500 a month. Trust me, high-end clients can afford it.

So $750($325 upfront and $325 due upon completion, make sure to shift the burden of "pulling through" if that makes sense on the client and away from you, so you are locked in and making money regardless). Then, for social media and upkeep of the site, and SEO, I charge $750-$1500 a month depending on the client's budget(you kind of have to feel this out as you get to know them before you close).

It's difficult and it's a hustle but if you keep calling people and establish a connection(in my case "hey, my dad has treated you well as an advertiser and you have probably met me before because you guys are friends" or something like that. Then, I use my age and position to my advantage, and undercut professional agencies who may charge 3 times what I do.

I don't quite have the age going for me but I'll try, what size are the businesses you are marketing to? Where did you learn about SEO?

No returns unless the item is damaged or simply doesn't show up(and you must provide proof). It hasn't REALLY been an issue but usually I just relent and refund

I missed the last line. First I cold call, then I follow up with an email and another call if they're still interested, and then after that set up a meeting from there.

Also all of my clients are Car dealers, restaurateurs, a jewelry dealer, a dentist, doctors, and lawyers. None of them have time to run their social media or know anything about the internet, so they just delegate it to a kid and no one is the wiser.

hope I can help man :)

I'm going from $2,000 in cash and $6,000 worth of credit cards to 19MM in less than a year. My first year out of school. You could say I'm making it.

I'll give it a shot, thanks man.

I'm 25 so no kid advantage, but maybe I can appear a bit more professional or something.

Hey user.
I'm actually quite interested into setting up a business like that, what would be your advices to start ? Also, what kind of business do you specifically targets ? What's the full extent of the product you're selling ?

pretty much everything is explained there. There are all sorts of online resources for it that are out there. Just go on youtube and binge watch any youtube video with "SMMA" in the title.

>SMMA"

I used to work at a marketing agency doing stuff similar to this, making good money on salary, but I moved to another state... I'm thinking of starting my own, but the problem is there's no portfolio I can use on here and I don't know any clients I can list. What would you recommend doing if I have no prior client list? Hardest to get the foot in the door, and all that. I'm sure once I get a few local clients it would snowball, but I'm a little worried about this first hurdle before trying this locally in the new small-mid-size city I'm in now.

lol, what? and how exactly did you do that?

Thanks dude. First time I'm contactfagging on chan but I would really like to have a chat with you.
You use telegram, right ? Might have to create an account there then.

Also let's get a club going with at this point.

i've been in crypto for exactly a month

7 of my crypto picks failed miserably
1, my most recent, is doing well

so far i've lost i'm down like 500 dollars on this shit but i don't care. will keep on pushing forward

don't ask me what the pick is because i'm still accumulating

I got $200K in crypto right now. Living like a poorfag, don't even have a car.

Not gonna cash out anything till I get to 1M by end of year. Fuck the bears.

Contact me at [email protected] homie.

Get in boys.

Just shot you an email.

Going to send you an email tonight. Would like to get in contact.

yo I want to help you out man but you have to do your own due diligence and find a better job

thanks for the info. how long did it take you from launch to your first sale?

Hey, man. Really want to connect with you, been doing managing client's social media expansion for awhile now, but I want to create more of a full-suite of services like what you have, along with drop-shipping. How can we get connected? I have Telegram but how do I give that to only you rather than everyone here?

Mail me, [email protected]
Your fine with me dropping your TG with this gentleman ?

Awesome, CS is so useful in this day and age.
Are you fresh out of school or did you already work ?

>come of age
>parents basically hand me 1.2 million in assets
>they have about 3 mil more in assets
>grandpa is worth 8 mil, to be split between my mom and two aunts
>am the only child

Yet I still love working and there’s some deep dissatisfaction with the idea that I didn’t make it myself. All my friends know me as that one rich kid. I don’t even act rich an drive a beater to work every day. What job can I get that’s challenging and requires high amount of capital? I don’t want to waste this golden opportunity i got for not doing shit

Emailed.

I need work where you at i'm in south florida

I basically crashed after school ended and haven't gotten a job 2 years out. I tried the wageslave coder thing in my internships and hated it.

I'm good at CS, but I secretly hate it.

What up bread user was thinking about it what if i put some shit in a stuffed animal or something would they x-ray it when it is mailed into the country?

Just, just get in honey. [email protected]
Didn't your parents just let you get in their business ? What did you study ? There is so much to do, come hang with us.

What about netsec and that kind of shit ? Little and middle business seems to be craving for the cybersecuriry meme.

>Hey, man. Replied that to your other ID before you moved to iPad. Just created an email, [email protected]

I was thinking about setting up a small security firm actually.

kill yourself. Donate 20 dollars to him if you want to help him.

Hello user. Someone gave me 49 XLM today and I want to give it to you. If you're larping, I will pray for you to go to hell. Please send me your XLM address.

I've made over 200 bitcoin profit. I've decided to stop trading and hold for the next two years. I was planning on cashing out and investing in a Vanguard index but there's a high chance that the US economy might enter a recession so it would be better to wait.

So far I'm living the NEET life and doing good.

I really wish I hadn't missed crypto being a depressed immobile sack of shit.

1.5k down to about 1.1

Swing trading has not worked out so far, but every mistake is an opportunity for learning, right?

> I was thinking about setting up a small security firm actually.
Fine taste.

What do you trade, where do you trade it and how do you trade it my good sir ?

U did not miss it u brainlet, get urself some chainlink, neo, ven, do you have a decent pc? use nicehash to get some extra $

>nicehash
how much you earning and with what rig?

more /losingmylifesavings/. Study and career prospects are going great but investment side has been catastrophic, hopefully the hodl will pay off

Brainlet who somehow managed to LOSE money in crypto thinks anyone gives a shit about the coin he's still "accumulating." fucking comedy gold on this board I swear holy shit..

Hello Venezuelanon. Distracting yourself is good, but you've probably got more productive things to do than feeling sorry for yourself on Veeky Forums. I wish you all the best though.

Helping someone is good, but it's the whole country that needs help. I don't know how we can help though... by donating to the Venezuelan Red Cross maybe? It seems like some things that are sent by foreign humanitarian organisms are seized or stolen, but giving to an organisation that's helping people there might be our best bet desu. Maybe Venezuelanon can let us know which organizations are good.

Fucked. I bought 80k of BTC when it was at 15k. All my savings from eight years wagecucking.

I’ll never catch up. I could have money on a condo. Fucked.

My friends are avoiding me since the crash. They know I’m ruined. Fucked.

Should have gone all in on Ripple. Fucked.

Good night.

Fucked.

>$13000 monthly income
>$20,000 savings
>no real assets

How are people this shit with money? I had $22k in the bank last month and I just turned 18, make like $5kish a month.

Wow you weak, late, faggot. Just sell now for a loss.

Bitcoin will probably be $100k within 1-2 years unironically.

The kids say rekt.

Do you think you could've made it to where you are without your dad's pre-established connections?

>establish your finances for retirement and a comfortable life
>Reinvest the surplus and use it to build schools and other infrastructure in impoverished communities
At least that's what I've been thinking about if I ever made it big

Sent you a mail.

Invested 40 k after the bullrun in july. then it went down til nov, then peaked at 360k in jan.
fucked up a couple of swingtrades buying higj selling low. sitting at 100k atm. have 30-40k to put in in march.
atm im having a huge part in iota and just pray

You put in 40k a year? How much of your savings is that?

> (You)
i had zero savings at the time. ivested a 100 dlr per week in btc when it was 400 dollars. the rest is borrowed money i have to pay back. atm my savings are zero outside of crypto, but i will inherit about 150 k in march. I would have given all my networth to nit having lost my dear old men.

my job went under and i bought in at ath... still HODLing but only cause its that or kms.

I kind of love this thread.

Its pearl in a sea of trash that is Veeky Forums

Super comfy. Super friendly.

Made some heavy losses but managed to turn $250 to 13k now in about 2 months and a half

i put 0.25 eth in etherhell sunday
got 0.015 in dividends and growing
also got 0.4 eth in ethpyr
getting about 0.002 a day from that
feeling good
trading shitcoins is so 2017
2018 will be the year of smart contract ponzis

looking at the volume, I dont think anyone here is gonna make it in the next 6 months.

I tend to agree with you on that. Though anything is possible. That said I’ve got $1k on ven right now and cashed out double my initial awhile ago so it’s whatever. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t check my folio every day which is good. Shit just keeps going sidewards anyway. Holding til December fampai

>tfw you can never mention how much money you've made without people crying larp and autists wanting you to sign messages from all of your addresses

Bought in on December and went all in on Ripple. Went from 40k to 100k in a matter of weeks and felt like I had won the lottery.
Then I leapt off it when it was ATH and went all in on Fun's ATH thinking that was the safest bet thanks to the ICE conference. Then the crash happened and I'm now holding bags. Here's hoping some casinos start getting on board or this hold will be long term.

Back at my initial investment now reeeeee

Shit going sideways is the best thing for my mental health for a long time.

My kneepads are serving me well.

> Started in late october 2017 with 14k.
Worked my way up flipping shitcoins when they mooned.
> Got lucky with PRL, bought 10k at 0.07 cents.
> 909k at the very top of ATH.
> Cashed 200k.
> Now at 333k total.

Feels like I kinda made it. But want to get to a million the next bull run and cash out most of it.

I don't have to wageslave anymore and have a pretty comfy passive income from my masternodes. Started my own project recently mostly out of boredom and to improve my ML skills in case I want to start a company when I can risk it financially.

>7k in 2013/2015 to 850k in jan now 250k+

I quit my job during the peak and didn't sell enough assets so now I have to sweat it out.

Also, I am 38 and work as a sous chef so work sucks and doesn't pay all that great. I want to train as a yoga teacher and do that part time and catering work part time eventually after taking this year off.

Also, my parents ship me 17.5k every year tax free.

Keep a careful eye on cashflow and be smart about how you scale upwards.

Growing is where most businesses fail.

>t. started company 5 years ago at 18

Eastern european technician here. I made a lot of money in Birminghstam but felt like shit living in a shithole 4+ years. Moved to Munich last November. Bought a few shitcoins in Jan and hoping for the next bullrun sometime next year then cash out. I wagecuck in an amazing company but can barely break even here in Munich.
