Chicken Curry

Hello Veeky Forumsoockers.
Today I will cook chicken curry.
I, and you too if you want to make it someday, will need (for two people):

500gm of chicken
250 of moshrooms
100 gm of rice (try not to use the rice that dont get sticky, use a good rice, bastami rice is recommended)
25gm of almonds
250ml of cocconunt milk
1 garlic tooth
Olive oil

For the curry paste:
A piece of cinnamon
1gm of turmeric
1gm of ginger
2gm of curry

If you want to prepere your own coconut milk you will need chopped coconut and water.
You just have to boil thw water, every 1 cup of chopped coconut you will need 2 cups of water. After the water is boiled, add it to the coconut and then use a mixer for five minutes. After that you have to strain the coconut. Or you can buy a bottle of coconut milk but its a lot more expensive.

Pic related is chicken curry that I've made a while ago, but today i will use another recipe.

Checkin' this thread.
Curry is always best when there's coconut milk in the sauce.

First at all, I prepare the curry paste. To do it I just put the cinnamon, the curry, the garlic tooth, the turmeric and the ginger in a mixer and then I mix it.

I will start to cook in about half an hour. I'm preparing all that I need first. I hope that the final result goes well, it's the first time I try this recipe.

Fuck! i forget the picture

The next step is prepare the the almonds.
To do it you have to peel them first. I boiled some water and when its hot, I add the almonds. After
30 of 45 seconds you just have to remove them from the water and dry them with some paper napkin.
After that, add the almonds in a hot pan for a few seconds. Dont burn them. Then put the almonds in the mixer and mix. Then add some of the coconut milk and mix again.

Pic related is the final result. Both things smells real good

This looks disgusting. Should look up a good japanese curry recipe instead

how does this look disgusting, or any different from Japanese curry aside from being less saucy?

>garlic tooth

How do you talk about one piece of garlic in english? in spanish it is "diente de ajo", I know that sometimes the meaning and the significant cant be extrapolated in different idioms

japanese curry is shit

it's thickened with flour

that's disgusting

>The curry

I'm sorry, come again?

Japanese curry too blandu

we call it a clove of garlic

Cloves, my friend. In the English speaking world garlic is referred to as cloves.

It's creepy as fuck that they're called teeth in Spain.

Fucking kill yourself you anime watching weeb. Japanese curry is absolute trash.

Sorry guys. Ok, garlic cloves. Now I know it for the next time.

You can leave the thread anytime you want if you only come here to throw shit.

What do you mean? sorry if I said something wrong, english is not my mother idiom

looks good op, i've never put mushrooms or almonds in my curry but i'll try that next time. i have some almonds i need to use up.

rate 9/10 would eat but i hate rice, prefer naan bread or something similar.

Don't worry about your english man, it's literally fine and everybody understands. Ignore the spergs.

naan bread? I've never heard about that. Can you talk about it?

Thank you, user. This board is really divided in nice people and shitty people. In other boards there are just shtty people

Chupa la verga

>naan bread? I've never heard about that. Can you talk about it?
it's good, it's a flat bread made with yogurt in the dough and then brushed with melted butter after it's cooked. you can also get it/make it stuffed with meat, spiced potatoes, nuts and raisins, or brushed with garlic too.

Naan is an Indian flatbread often eaten as the starch instead of rice in some regions of India. It's sometimes brushed with garlic butter. Really good shit IMO.

tu es muy gordo

Donde esta tu jamon?

Sorry for the delay. I've started and i couldn't stop.
So, after all the preparation you will have to chop onions in bruinoise, sorry I forget to put onions in the first post. After that you have to put some olive oil in a big pan and add the onions.

It sounds real good. I will try to make it someday. Have you ever done it? It's hard?

Then you have to add the curry paste to the onions and stir

While the onions are getting cook, put another hot pan in the fire and when its hot add some olive oil and saute the moshrooms.
Pic related is the final result

In the same pan that you've saute the shrooms, add some oil if its needed and seal the chicken.
After its well done, add the chicken and the shrooms to the big pan with the onions and the curry paste and stir a little
Pic related is result

After you add the chicken and the shrooms, add the coconut milk and stir again. You have to use a medium-low heat or it will get burn.

Then you have to add the coconut milk that were mixed with the almonds. I've never done it before and the final result was really creamy, it looks real good

>Have you ever done it? It's hard?
it's easy, just takes a while to make all of them. i've never made a stuffed one though, that seems like it would be harder.

those onions were blessed by the lord

good thread op, i really appreciate people doing oc instead of just shitposting or spouting old memes. we need more people like you.

also your english is fine, dw.

You just have to wait until the sauce reduce and its done. I also add some raisins that I found while I was cooking some time after the sauce reduce.
This is the final result, I know that my presentation sucks, I'm not very good at it. I forget to said that while you cook the chicken you have to cook the rice... but everybody knows how to cook rice.
The sauce were really creamy and it was really tasty. It could have been a little more spicy but I'm happy with the result.
Thank you all for your company while I was cooking!

Thank you, user. What you said it´s true. Everytime I come here there are only threads about wich fast food is better... It's rare to see people actually cooking but I've seen it sometimes.

Just curious, where are you from, OP?

If I said that you have to believe that I'm white, can you guess it?

Argentina

Lol you nail it

Seriously man, that's pathetic, even for a spaniard.

Post what you've cooked, then. We want to learn
