It's too hot. I'll grill so chicken when the sun starts going down.

I wouldn't grill when it's freezing outside because I don't see the point, but trying to grill when it's going to start raining any second is pointless.

It's almost 4am and everyone is passed out from too much drinking.

There's no fucking point cooking anything on charcoal because it's fucking stupid. I prefer to cook over broken-up shipping pallets, but that's hard to do without a two foot deep firebox to hold the embers.

I did grill some steak for dinner.

BECAUSE I’M AT WORK AND IT’S FUCKING RAINING OK

I made hamburgers and corn.

I mixed a lb of ground beef with an egg, some bread crumbs, minced onion, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper (inb4 meatloaf) and formed the patties and let them sit in the fridge for an hour.

I cooked them on a charcoal grill, added some old cheddar to melt, then toasted the buns. My burger had two slices of bacon, a fried egg, onion slices, sliced kosher pickle, handful of arugula salad mix, mayo, ketchup, and sri racha.

I took the corn off the grill and immediately tossed them in a pan containing butter, lime juice, salt and pepper.

The salad was some arugula mix with a nice store bought apple cider vinegar dressing, pumpkin seeds, blue cheese, sliced ambrosia apple, and black pepper.

The hamburger was amazing... usually I tend to overcook meat (my preference), but this time it was really moist and great. I fried the egg immediately before topping the burger and the yolk was really running. I was impressed with how everything turned out.

Then I drank about 4 gin and tonics and a beer and here I am.

I forgot to mention that I added some soaked mesquite chips after the first flip and smoked the burgers until the end.

I used to be able to buy, get this, U4s back in the day. The store that sold them closed, though, and I don't know where to get delicious "colossal giant" shrimp like that anymore.
The closest I can find is U6 and they're paradoxically more expensive than the U4s I used to buy.

yeah, grilled a tritip yesterday along with some roast taters and corn, today I made stock from mireproix and a few days old beef that was tough as fuck, then strained that, cut up what was left of the tritip and put it in the stock with some egg noodle and gonna thicken it shortly
