Popular brokers for stock trading: Robinhood >commission free and no minimum to open robinhood.com
> How is it free? Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet? Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.
> When is it coming to my country? The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.
Interactive Brokers >$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access interactivebrokers.com
TD Ameritade >$6.95 commission per trade. No minimum to open. Fantastic data/charting through their free ThinkorSwim service tdameritrade.com

@BagholderExtraordinaire I did a DCF model for AMRS, with strong revenue growth (as the management stated in his last 2 published guidances) and with R&D/SG&A expenses in moderate growth.
The NPV of the market cap is 727M (!). With the potential diluted shares outstanding of 90M, we get 8.07$ a share. 90M SO is found in an article on Cucking Alpha.
The point is, we are surely not the smartest guys on Earth, otherwise we won't be posting in Nepalese drawing board wanking off to furry porn. And we are all saying the same thing on AMRS. If it was true, some smarter guys with deep pockets would have already been on it, wouldn't he ?

Maybe what causes the market to dip is a big name reporting weak earnings ?
If you think about it, the first dip coincided with GOOG and FB reporting lukewarm earnings.

It was related to WMT that got rekt today

Canadian weed held majority of gains made by close today. Will be looking to see continuation or consolidation tomorrow, maybe buck this bear trend. It seems majority of investors are unperturbed about the minor two month delay on legal sales.

Hey /smg/, I'm new to investing, I opened an individual brokerage account with schwab.
Right now I'm waiting for 3 grand to be transferred into my account before I can invest.
I want to go over a few companies by you guys and see what you think for investment opportunities. Just looking for your two cents.
I'm skittish about Amazon their stock price has nearly doubled in a year which is impressive given what it was at 2017. I feel like they're going to plateau very soon, Amazon cant get keep growing, can they?
thanks for the help
Carson Thomas
I'm not trying to influence you, but are you comfortable with holding a majority in tech?
Brayden Allen
What is the time frame you're looking at. I am expecting this market to blow up on March 16th.
Jayden Anderson
Trips don't lie.
Lucas Thomas
im obviously going to ignore your advice but blow up in a good way or a bad way?
Isaac Scott
It's okay, Bear posters don't want advise from communists anyways, you filthy fuck.
Read the OP, Robinhood is free, but does not have the same abilities other brokers have. It is also only available on mobile, Android & IOS. There is supposed to be a web version out soon.
Investopedia (website) ain't half bad for learning basics. Tradingview is good for charts.
I generally don't invest in metals, energy, or utility, so I couldn't really help you there. I do tech & defense stocks. I avoid bio companies (pharmaceuticals) completely, I don't invest in them at all.
I'm all in on KTOS (Kratos Defense) right now. They were awarded an 81M contract by DOD announced on the 15th. NVDA is a good bet, IMO, right now.
You can make serious money playing volatility ETFs & ETNs, like TVIX & UVXY. You can also lose serious money. For example, two weeks again I had 40% gains playing TVIX when most folks were in the red. I could have just as easily lost 40% if I didn't pull out at the correct time and then panic sold.
If you are not looking to hold a long time, a few months at minimum, you need to know how much you want to make on a trade. Buy in at the price you want, and sell at a reasonable profit. Don't chase money off a cliff, and don't try to catch a falling knife.
I am by no means an expert, and you should be cautious taking my advice, or anyone else's here.
Good luck. Keep bear posting :)
Blake Diaz
I hope so. I might as well invest solely into JUST

A public blockchain is a data structure made up of "blocks", things which store information. That can include, but is not limited to, transaction information.
The blocks are "linked" together in a chain by storing the hash from the previous block (Something which is found through guessing at what the appropriate inputs are for a hash function, using numbers-only-used-once, or "nounces". This is what miners are basically doing).
It's hard to modify a public blockchain because doing so would require significant control of the of the total transaction recording processing power.
It's useful for cryptocurrencies because it prevents double spending (to do so would require a large amount of transaction processing power of the network - the "51% attack", although that's only applicable for coins which use proof of work). And, it provides a public record for everyone to view confirm that a transaction, or some other event, actually took place.
Adam Stewart
Oops, didn't realize it was deleted, apologies. I was thinking of adding 'maybe you ask this in the other 1 million threads'.
