So me and my mom made donuts today and we might have messed something up. We made the donut shapes out of pizza dough and we fried them in a big pot of boiling olive oil but something didn't work out. Even when we put the icing and sprinkles on the donuts afterwards it just didn't taste right. Any advice? We want to try this again tomorrow.

Pizza dough?

You need to use extra virgin olive oil you stupid fucking cunt.

Is your mom's name Marie?

What's so funny?

>it just didn't taste right

You used the wrong dough. Donut batter and pizza dough are very different things.

Trolling, or inept cooking?

This, but you also have to use extra virgin pizza dough.

We followed a recipe that Said we could use pizza dough

was it from pinterest or tumblr?

No, foodnetwork.com actually. Who's laughing now?

So you used a shit recipe because you were both too stupid to realize that pizza crust tastes nothing like donuts.

Low level bait desu

Not bait

i'm still laughing, that was the other site i was going to suggest. post the recipe.

Actually, there's a Giada video where she's making donuts. She says to use pizza dough if you're too lazy to make your own.

OP should've just made his own, and probably should've used an oil with a higher smoke point in that "pot" of his.

>Olive oil, for deep-frying

Wait you werent trolling this is an actual recipe wtf
Never deep fry with olive oil and if you can't make the right batter use pancake batter

Is donut dough even supposed to be as leavened as pizza dough?

it says equal parts veg and olive oil numnuts

More - but the gluten isn't as developed.

>light yeast dough
>fry in lard or peanut oil
>make a thin vanilla glaze or roll in cinnamon sugar or regular sugar

That's it, sport.

Thanks
