I'm not a good cook but at least it's not a fast food thread I guess

I'm not a good cook but at least it's not a fast food thread I guess.

I've really never used fresh peppers, so this is probably terrible

I continued cooking a few minutes beyond this

Peas > corn and beans

Full pleb

And now we wait

No, no, no. Common mistake for inexperienced cooks: you've crossed your pan with the beef, that is why it is steaming rather than browning. Work in steps. Brown beef in batches. Remove. Discard all but a table spoon of grease, sauté veg. Good effort though. Please continue posting your progress.

*crowded, not crossed. Stupid auto correct

I will fully admit I didn't get as much browning as I hoped. But there was still a decent amount.

*pork, not beef.

I am fail. At any rate, keep us posted

Well it's just going to sit there for Like 4 hours now. But I'll show it when it's done

Do. I meant to reply to my own last post, not yours. Fail again. Another tip, since your using peas and plan for a long cook, is to add them in later in the cooking process, they'll probably get mushy. What do you call this concoction? It's kind of an odd mix of ingredients. Is it native to your country?

It's poorfag food.

There's not really a name for it or anything. I'd say is loosely based on chili but obviously a bit different. I didn't learn this from anyone else, just trying things.

You're probably right about the peas, I'll wait until it's almost done next time.

What will you serve it with?

I might put it on rice. Or bread. Or nothing.

Four hours?! For what purpose?

I find it mellows out the flavor a bit and makes it more homogeneous. That probably sounds like a bad thing, but I prefer it.

What about potato wedges? Rice sounds good too.

Add a crisp-fried egg (or two) on top to make it god-tier.

If I had potatoes that would sound pretty good.

After a taste test, I've decided it's done. Going to play Pokemon go while it cools

Forgot pic

9/10 honestly

I did it again
