Hi Veeky Forums. /rk9/ and /s4s/ browser here.

Does any good literature about memes exist? I don't mean GoT, IJ, GR. I mean the history and application in literature would be interesting for me to read.

Why? You should just be yourself and do what you find enjoyable

Didactic, patronizing, condescending and arguably neo-intellectual twaddle.

You asked for memes and I gave 'em to you.

How is "didactic" or "neo-intellectual" a bad thing?

In fact "neo-intellectual" isn't even a real term. I think you meant psuedo-intellectual. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't use "big words" if you don't understand what they mean.

I loved Food of the Gods so I picked this book up and was really disappointed. I wouldn't even call it a book, its more like a lab manual.

Richard Dawkins' "The Selfish Gene."
Susan Blackmore's "The Meme Machine."
Abel Chris's "The Extended Self."

Just Google "books about memes."

What do you think?

Its only 3 dollars I might get it to try understand popular culture a bit better
