He put a diagonal stroke on the number 0

>He put a diagonal stroke on the number 0

But user, if I don't stroke my 0s how will I tell them apart from my Os?

Write them 0s thinner than the Os. Like how the fonts are displayed here on Veeky Forums.
But seriously, if you have a convention or definition that has Os stands next to 0s, you should change them.

What about crossing your 7's?

These don't matter much.
The worst is writing 1 like a fucking l letter.

>0
>A number

Pick one

What is it then? An animal?

Do you believe that [math]\sqrt{2}[/math] is a number though?

I cross every single 7 out of habit I do my Is with serifs and 1s as a single line.

The worst is when your prof has shitty handwriting and you can't tell his greek letters from his arabic ones. Rho/p, nu/v, omega/w, alpha/a, delta/d...

>2011+5

Tablet masterrace here.

...

nice bait dude. better luck next time.

I only cross my z's.

This is the worst. Please do not become a lecturer, if you do please you digital methods to present your lecture.

Wouldn't you?

>all these plebs doing unnecessary extra strokes

I'll bet you guys don't strike through double t's and double f's either

But that's the sign for an empty set!

do you, like, never use Os? how do you tell between O and 0 then?

>he uses [math] 0 [/math] to represent the trivial group
>he thinks [math] 0 \notin \mathbb{N} [/math]

To be fair, there is a lot of controversy about whether or not 0 should be included in N. When it's important (read: usually), I write N with a 0 subscript to explicitly state that I am including 0 in the natural numbers.

I cross my sevens and zeds

I never used to cross them until one day I realised it looked like more fun and so I tried it.

Never. Looked. Back

>2√2\sqrt{2}
Don't be irrational

why shouldn't 0 be in N?
it seems like it is a lot more convenient when N is already a monoid and you don't need to do a bunch of mathematical acrobatics to append an identity
i've never come across a situation where it actually mattered, though
where does it actually matter?

>why shouldn't 0 be in N?
Why should it? Does it ever make any difference?

I cross my z's because the look like 2's

f = 1/n; n ∈ N

>does it matter if 0 ∈ N?
yes

[math] f(x) = \frac{1}{n}; n \in \mathbb{N}-{0} [/math]

this is not how this notation works dumbass

[math] f(x) = \frac{1}{n}; n \in \mathbb{N}-\big\{0\big\} [/math]
autsim

[math] f(n) = \frac{1}{n}; n \in \mathbb{N}-\big\{0\big\} [/math]
:^)

THIS IS NOT HOW THIS NOTATION WORKS
REEEEEEE
THIS IS NOT STANDARD NOTATION

>said every gay ever

this.

Then use nonstandard

I swear to god my fucking 1's and I's look the same, so does my 5's and S's. Fuck's sake even I can't recognize them sometimes.

This

and how do you write null set, op?
