What's the proper Veeky Forums order to go through The Bible?

1.) Open the book
2.) Realize that you have made a mistake
3.) try to return book
4.) ???
5.) Suicide

There ya go friendo

In order.

I'd say start with page one, maybe page two afterwards.
just dont read page three before you've read the other two.

Start at the beginning of The New Testament and finish at the end of The New Testament.

The Jews only included The Old Testament to trick you.

The New Testament cites the Old countless times, and the Old Testament foretells about the Messiah, Jesus. What you say is heretical.

Chronological order, if you want to skip most of the really dry list parts and focus on the through-line: biblegateway.com/reading-plans/chronological

not op but thanks mate, was really looking for something like that

Jesus came to say the OT wasn't true. That's why nobody follows all the laws about sacrifice and stuff that Moses talked about in Exodus.

start with the greeks

You have greatly misunderstood the Bible, my friend. The Old Testament is the foundation for the New one, and Jesus most certainly didn't come to say OT wasn't true. Why would He quote it so often, if it was just bullshit? Do you mean to say that God didn't create man, He didn't flood the Earth, tell Abraham to go to the Canaan, or promise through the mouths of prophets that a Messiah would be born? How could Jesus be the Savior of mankind, if he claimed to be the Son of a false god?

Christians don't have to sacrifice animals to atone their sins, because Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice on the cross, and there can only be salvation though Him, not through following the Law. If I remember correctly, at least the Epistle to the Romans talks about these things, among with many other parts in the NT. Read the Bible and consult a priest.

>consult a priest

No thanks. Those guys don't know any more than you or I do.

So you wouldn't go see a doctor when you felt a strange pain, or ask tips for a sport from someone who has competed in it for years? Priests have studied theology and know the Bible through and through, so that's a pretty dumb thing to say. Of course they know more than you or I, because they've spent a lot more time studying the Bible than we have. Naturally not all priests and denominations agree on everything about theology, but any priest would tell you that thinking the Old Testament isn't true is absolutely false, be he a Lutheran, Orthodox, Anglican or any priest who follows the Word of God. What you say is not backed by the Bible.

The proper Veeky Forums way would be to start with the Greeks, because that way you realize the Greeks had identical creator myths themselves and that the OT myths are based on these and older(or the same) stories as for example in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Then, when you have read Plato you realize the NT form of Christianity is just a religionized Platonism and become a Platonist instead of a kike-on-a-stickist.

first off you get the douay-rheims version

>Jesuit
>study theology, philosophy, biblical hermeneutics for 5-10 years
>okay.jpg

Just taken your first class with Nietzsche on the syllabus?

Mark, then Acts, then Romans.

Then whatever you want senpai

Kill yourself.

lol what was that for

Except nowadays that's a bunch of shit theology and philosophy and they learn nothing about the Bible but how to disregard it, so his point stands.

...

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Corinthians, Galatians, Romans are the necessary readings.
Some other books are interesting from a literary point of view. Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Revelation.
The other books are interesting from a historical (mythological) point of view.

the new testament is garbage, just read the old testament from a perspective that it is

1. the national epic of the Hebrew people (keeping in mind, the hebrew is not the modern jew/israeli)
2. a collection of most of the best Mesopotamian literature and Egyptian mythology reframed as 'Jewish' monotheism

It's definitely on par with the Iliad and Odyssey in terms of it being a foundational myth of western civilization but only a fool takes it literally. But the allegory is so fucking deep it's insane. The entire garden of eden thing, mankind's innocence in nature prior to finding knowledge, Satan as a Promethean figure, building cities which become pits of sin, ect.

boy, i wonder who could be behind this post

Do you really have to wonder?

>Paul's epistles
>Garbage
