>le reads 5 books a day faggot

sorry for not being dyslexic

>tfw defriending Sebastian because of German novella spam on my feed

Improved my Goodreads experience, would recommend. You can still watch his race towards the boundaries of introversion on others feeds.

>reading multiple books at a time

goodreads.com/user/show/53946792-pedro

I did this a few months ago but never cared to update.
Maybe i'll try it more now.

Hmm. I'd have thought more people used gayreads than this thread currently suggests.

>sebastian will never give a book four stars again, let alone five stars

>"to read" great than "read" shelf
>pop sci
>fiction
casuals get out
rrrreeee

goodreads.com/user/show/34984319-mahmoud-awad

If someone's 'to read' shelf is bigger than the 'read' shelf how is that a bad thing? cry more.

It's ok, I just need to finish the Joyce biography and then do my reread of Ulysses and then I'll be back to reading like normal.

I like that you use the ratings more as a suggestion feature. Wish more people did that.

>he read homer only in 2016
that's Veeky Forums userbase for you

Better late than never?

Been reading The Odyssey since I was 12, just hadn't gotten to The Iliad for whatever reason.

>2016
>thinking you have to actually read homer.

>>sebastian will never give a book four stars again, let alone five stars

I just gave 4 stars a few days ago to Ship of Fools by Sebastian Brant.

Some people on goodreads are pretty decent. Connor from goodreads is one of the brighter dudes to follow. He writes decent reviews and reads a lot. Berber and Sebastian read a lot but mostly German shit. One faggot I had to unfriend managed to find millions of books based on 4 chan memes and had my whole feed stuffed with his hackneyed memery.

i did this recently too

>goodreads

>getting triggered by a reader review

You are as bad as that tranny. Seriously, who reads user reviews except as a joke or when there are rebuttals by the author or for a scholarly work?

>offended when women are treated horribly in hardcore horror dystopia

Wew lad

Hi! A few things to start off with =] 1. Yes I replied to you because you are a female reader, tis' an awesome thing too see! 2. I'm Brian. 3. Don't be intimidated, but I'm not a stereotypical guy. If anything I'll be the one in the kitchen =D.

Why do you think i'm "triggered" instead of amused? Don't you also think communities you associate with tell something about yourself?

Hi Brian :] thanks for adding me. i hope u can give me good suggestions. i promise not to be intimidated ;P Not sure what you meant by that kitchen comment though. tee hee.

Can we even stop this madman?

I shit you not, you can make reading low star reviews into a pastime on that site. Some of them will miss the point so beautifully. Readinb low star reviews for popular fantasy books is also fun, because of how offended the loyal fans will get, especially if the reviewer is a woman.

he is memeing you.
Just look at the fedora and "anything I'll be the one in the kitchen =D."

btw any male who uses emoticons and are above 18 have problems :D

goodreads.com/user/show/51467241-patrick

Glad that im not the only one that do that.
Is like watching a car crash.

Really?! No shit, I couldn't tell!

m8 you're getting double memed

goodreads.com/user/show/55341611-gassposter

Finally made an account.

>Can we even stop this madman?

I just got a doctor sicknote that I am unable to work for the next six months, because I am insane in the membrane. Now no one can stop me to read a lot of books.

Then read on my new book addict friend, read on.

>some autistic librarian fucks up the date pubished for one of the books you've read
>your OCD and your own autism is triggered every time you look at your read shelf and the books are out of order

>not being a librarian yourself and fixing the date
desu, as a librarian, I feel like the whole site is a massive anarchic clusterfuck, due to the fact that nobody controls the librarians. On RYM, when you send a correction, it'll be carefully analyzed by a sperg who will notice even the smallest mistakes. On TMDB, nobody controls you but it's a relatively intelligent community and they rarely make mistakes, as far as I can see. But Goodreads is filled with uncontrolled dumb fucks who can't read the rules. I've seen one librarian complaining that an another one just completely destroyed their submission, completely switched the info for an another book. Replaced the cover, the title, everything. When it comes to old books some people like to replace a legit cover of the most popular/default edition with the cover of the first edition. There were also massive edit wars about the authorship of Quran etc etc etc. As a librarian I can just find the books I read, fix them / add them and turn them in my own clean and tidy little corner in this wild west of databases.

Anyway, link me the book and the date and I'll fix it. You can also ask in the Goodreads librarians group.

This was unsettling.

Damn I had no idea it was that much of a clusterfuck on GR. Aren't they owned by Amazon? They should have a decent sized budget to hire legit, trained staff, right?

There is professional staff on there, but they take care of the site code and frontend, not the database. Well, they don't really take care of the code either, they only do on paper. The essential reread feature has been requested for years (probably since the site was created) but they are doing nothing about it. Instead of adding that or maybe optimising the site, they changed the UI recently and caused problems for many users (I personally couldn't see the logo on front page, and the font lacks some non-english characters - other people reported fucked up font sizes and inability to check their notifications at all.)
Amazon really doesn't affect the site, if you don't count the ads and data mining.

It's easy to become a librarian and fix it. Last I checked you need to have 50 books shelved and the acceptance is pretty much automatic.

Follow for rambling reviews, reading random books and awkward requests for friendship.

>goodreads.com/user/show/11129358-n

Haha.. I went to send you a friend request only to find there was already one waiting.

Guys I don't mean to sound lame but I'm super glad to have added a lot of new friends. Most of the ones I had read boring shit, and also I have no social life except on the internet.

I applied and never got accepted. I think you need to have reviewed some as well.

It's a meme, you dip!

Fuck off Kraut

>Fuck off Kraut

Don't be a racist.

Go away, Sebastian, you fat fuck.

>Go away, Sebastian, you fat fuck.

Are you that degenerate Tinder whore?

Imagine reading all those books but still thinking this is the correct way to use a dash. How thick do you have to be?

>read (129)
>comics (114)
wew

do you have anger issues?

Lolling at the saltiness of all the buttblasted pseuds who spend ten minutes a day reading, followed by five hours talking about how much they're in to literature and affirming their delusions of being cultured patricians on a forum for anime autists.

Don't bother getting defensive, just shut down your browser and pick up a book, millennial attention span scum.

>millennial attention span scum
we're all millennials here.

Not him, but clearly a typo, you seem pretty stupid desu

I do, as a matter of fact. How did you know.?

your about me.

>sharing my goodreads on Veeky Forums
>a bunch of autistic meemers bothering me, begging to be added
no thanks, i learned my lesson with last.fm on /mu/

goodreads.com/ihatehumans

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that was a troll. If it wasn't though, HAHAHA.

>reads like 3 books per day
My competitive feels are reaching orbit right now.

WHY CAN'T I READ THAT FAST?! RRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Ha, nice.

Doctor wants me to stay home because I tried killing myself, and now I'm reading 24/7.

I read like, all day, but consider myself rather dumb and not well versed in literature at all desu.

>Competing with Sebastian
Trust me, you've won

ahahahahahaha!"!! epiccc!!!!

goodreads.com/user/show/6261192-bbrown

It has been awhile since one of these.

MORE.

I NEED MORE FRIENDS.

Whats stopped you from reading as much as you used to?

...

In 2014 I began working as a lawyer in a large law firm. So I'm at work 50-60 hours a week, which doesn't include the work I do from home. Not as much time or energy to read for fun, unfortunately.

This is sadly the future of the site.

50% of the reviews are either memes or SJW shit and the other 50% are trolls that know they can get a huge rise by giving intentionally retarded reviews.

This is awful

goodreads.com/user/show/14424167-matei

Why share it if you don't want to be friends with anyone? Accepted from everybody and I've had no problems with anyone. Most everyone just keeps to themselves, with a like here or a comment there sometimes. Not enough people reviewing, in fact.

this.
plz someone speak to me.

who is tegan?

she shared her e-mail but I didn't read why

goodreads.com/user/show/9268772-cen

>it's a sebastian thread

goodreads.com/user/show/56519360-karaczan

Why don't you speak to someone?

Post some good book reviewers, so that you can discover new books.

goodreads.com/review/list/54697-matt?order=d&sort=review&view=reviews

I love this guy's language.

It is based on someone else's bio. Aubrey or something on Goodreads where she talks about muh feminism and muh womyn of colour authors.

im too shy

>goodreads.com/user/show/2408134-sebastian

have you considered reading good books?

Are you a girl

please be Sophie

i really don't know what it is about you that makes me dislike you. i really can't pinpoint it.
