Trimming is awful dude. I mean it's legitimately migrant worker level. In fact, mexicans are doing a lot of the trimming in CA alongside hippie burnouts who can't deal with society. Plus the majority of it is very seasonal. Trimming experience might actually work against you if you want a position in the garden. Trimmers in general have a pretty bad reputation and its for a good reason. A lot of them are shitty, steal product, smell like ass, are too high to get any work done etc.

If you're into growing my advice would be to get some commercial ag experience and/or finish your degree in horticulture. The companies that are developing right now are much more likely to hire someone that is willing and ready to learn with an education than someone who has an unverifiable resume of black market experience.
