There are no self checkouts in the stores my area, I just find a cashier that's old or off/weird looking, I avoid all the female cashiers(can't stand female cashiers or women in general...too judgmental, they never mind their own business). Call me austitic...I don't give a fuck, at least i'm aware of my issues.

My supermarket shuts all the self-scans off late at night and have only one line open with a cashier. And there is always a Muslim woman ahead of you with two heaping carts who wants to haggle over everything and doesn't know how shit works. And her children are running around and why the fuck aren't they in bed?

Also, you can't ring out alcohol on one of those things, or if you can, you have to wait for an employee to come and authorize the transaction.

Also, 25-50% of everything you scan, it will send it back and ask you to scan again, or tell you you're scanning items too fast and you need to bag your 4 groceries because it's confused already. Fuck those machines.

Not very. At off hours there are almost always some things that are out of stock. If you go during the busy times (4-6 PM) then yeah, it's crowded, but you're more likely to find everything you need, because the stores restock everything in preparation for the evening rush.

If you're shopping late at night, sometimes the only thing open is self-chekout. Sometimes during peak hours every checkout line is long and everyone in them has huge cartfuls, whereas you only have a few items. Self-checkout is 10 minutes faster.

grocery stores that are open overnight restock overnight dipshit, they have employees that work shifts like 10:30pm to 6:30am doing nothing but stocking shelves, if you go in at 2 am to grocery shop and something's out, all you have to do is ask one of the employees if they have any they plan to stock and they'll check. if they do and they're not lazy cunts they'll bring some to you.
