Moby Dick's difficulty is so overblown. It's not that hard, just read it.

You can enjoy it. I know you can. I put off reading it for years because people on this site scared me with their memery and I finally read it this month, and it's the most fun I've had with a book in years.

like sure all the science-y bits in gravity's rainbow are kind of hard to understand but really its a book of avant-garde comedy. the part where they hurl pies in the sky, the banana breakfast, the ship comprised of toilets, etc.

its like a war-spy-conspiracy-comedy

>enjoying books

>High enough boredom threshold

This would be more helpful if people would mentiom their iq.

>he fell for the iq meme

>he fell for the 'iq is a meme' meme

It's shame you'll never be able to understand DFW or Pynchon.

>implying i haven't read the meme trilogy

Please, no one understands DFW; he's like Derrida.

>he fell for the '''iq is a meme' is a meme" meme

shaking my head

DFW isn't really that hard to understand

Phenomenology of Spirit

I'm pretty dumb and GR is a contender for my favorite book.

The only thing I find hard is older poetry like Paradise Lost or Divine Comedy
