good question. anybody wanna answer ?

Space with a dash of time

pants

3 parts space, one part time

A lattice structure that affords a given entity the ability to exist in a given location. The lattice is composed of finite points, which allows only finite positions.

Anything in motion's location is just quantized to the nearest unoccupied space, per every realtime tick of the universe. It takes into account directionality of course, so entities don't get moved around randomly. They can be stopped by surfaces they are unable to penetrate.

I think OP is talking about real-life m8. Not video games.

It's a network of quantum entanglements between particles. The particles are more fundamental than spacetime. The philosophers were right.

Oh, also. In the context of quantum field theory. That's all it's measuring. Quantized excitation states, their peaks, and their falloff. The waveform is not truly continuous, it moves in steps because there are only finite points in the lattice.

I don't know the means by which the lattice exists or derives its functionality.

Someday we'll agree with this.

A collective conscience.

What are pants made of?
What are the finite points made of?
What are the particles made of?
What is the collective conscience made of?

Doctor Hubert Goffsteddar of Stanford University talked about this in his book "The Makings of Time and Space" in 1973. In it, he explains how and why the universe expands, the big bang, and, of course, space-time. Specifically, what space-time is actually made out of. And it is quite simple really. After years of studying and devoting his life to mathematics, physics, and science in general, Goffsteddar eventually came to the conclusion that space-time was, in fact, created by a rare combination of materials called "space" and "time." This discovery paved the way for modern scientists to adapt and improve on the previous ideas that we had of space-time at the time. By understanding that space-time is made out of these two essential materials, one will then realize exactly what space-time is made out of in conjunction with physical, mental, and scientific hypotheses made of the scientists who made it possible at the time. Hope this helps!

>no trull no bueno
Inter dimensional, interconnected and finitely relayed. A network.

What is the network made of?

>whispers
Memes. Saitama

Fractals describing fractals within fractals...

IT'S ALL CLEAR NOW

WE SHALL BECOME ONE IN THE MEME SINGULARITY

Nothing since time doesn't exist.

The meme is the constant. There is no convergence. We are well beyond 1 into the negatives. WE ARE THE MEME SINGULARITY

Conscience is that which intuits right from wrong.
Consciousness is the quality of awareness.

I believe you meant collective consciousness.

Please let's separate these two terms

well actualy conscience is the definition that's not the same as consciousness because the conscious self that is not the conscience is also not the definition of it which means he didnt mean to actually say that conscience is that but it meant the other way around too

What if it's both. The collective of what's right and wrong governs the laws we see today whether it be in social terms or within the confound rules of the universe. They can each subject to their own attribution towards the network.

>Conscience is morality

>well actualy conscience is the definition that's not the same as consciousness because the conscious self that is not the conscience is also not the definition of it which means he didnt mean to actually say that conscience is that but it meant the other way around too

A turtle's shell.

>The waveform is not truly continuous, it moves in steps because there are only finite points in the lattice.
What are the chances that's due to a limit in technology?

Thought

There doesn't seem to be a definite answer in this thread.

Here's my take on it: Space is a measurement of the distances between things. If you have two particles, space is the thing that makes it so they're not the same particle - there is a separation between them, and length is a measurement of how far away they are. But the space isn't made of anything, it's just there.

Likewise, time is a measurement for the distances between events. If you have one of your particles move to the right, and then to the left, time is the thing that makes it so those events don't happen simultaneously - there is a "separation" between them, and time is a measurement of how long the delay was between the two events.

Spacetime is the Union of space and time. Just as three-dimensional space is the union of three seemingly separate spaces, spacetime is the union of the seemingly separate units of measurement, space and time.

But again, they're not made out of anything. It's not a medium, and it's not a physical object. It's just what stuff exists in. From the quantum fields to the Earth, spacetime is what everything exists in.

Special relativity tells us that space and time are not constant - they change in certain situations in order to preserve the constancy of the speed of light, c.
Remember that velocity is x/t. So if you're traversing a large distance in a short amount of time, either x (space) or t (time) has to change in order to keep c constant in your frame. So space and time, though merely measurements, do change - the only thing that's constant is the speed of light. Space and time are measurement tools that are slaves to the speed of light.

It's easy to think spacetime is "made of something" when hearing about Einstein's field equations because of the analogies that are made to fabrics, in which matter and energy "curve" spacetime, much like how a tarp is curved by the presence of a weight.
But it's important to realize that this analogy is only an approximation. When physicists say "spacetime is curved", they don't mean "the entity that we call spacetime is actually, physically curved and stressed like a fabric" - they really mean "space and time are changed relative to their surroundings in order to preserve the local constancy of the speed of light, and the paths taken by particles in this spacetime are ones that minimize the shortest path in spacetime, e.g., geodesics. This is mathematically equivalent to saying particles move along null geodesics in 'curved' - I.e., modified - spacetime"

You're both knowledgeable. Good stuff

strings bro

pretty much. what's spacetime is made of is like saying what's an hour or a cube made of.

>What are pants made of?
You're very clever, young man, very clever. But it's pants all the way down!

...

Fundamental dots that do not have constituents

...

timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff

The same thing fields are made out of. Numbers.

math

Spacetime is made of comparisons and contrast. We label the values of these using a language we invented called mathematics.

This is a good explanation.

I like to start with Thyme, then add a dash of spice later

>a rare combination of materials called "space" and "time."
"Space" I could concede is everywhere all somehow made of or consists of material or materials of some kind
But "Time" is not a "material" is it?
Isn't it more like a function

Of your consciousness.

idea is the basic substance making the universe.

Better said thought/idea/emotion.

TIME is product of consciousness calculating the amount of energy it takes to move something / change space.

Since we humans can exert pretty standardized energy into changing space, we observe time similarly. We still havent made enough energy to warrant our perception change, regarding TIME.

Since energy in solar system is close to constant, we observe time and measure it with help of sun and rotation of the Earth.

In private though, without the help of the clock and without seeing outside world (like in dreams), time flows differently since its not bound by energy in Solar system so our awareness can flow freely. Everybody had those entire lifetime dreams, in between snoozes of the alarm. (5 min solar standardized time)

Time ultimately depends on awareness but since we live in cyclical part of the Universe where E is close to constant, our awareness makes similar calculations, not to mention we are trained by clocks, in a way.

We made time standardized, but its far from it.

Time is just how our mind perceives energy and matter interaction.

Space is made out of the ether, whatever that is. Perhaps a sea of neutrinos?

Space/matter is a function of our Mind, given to itself by itself, to describe all phenomena close to our vibration of energy.

We exist in this space/matter Universe, therefore we call it solid/existing, but its only relative to US, and we claim so because our Mind's idea of matter is directly connected to frequency of our basic energy.

As we know now, nothing in reality is truly solid from scientific stand point its all energy, but two similar frequencies can ''feel'' eachother, just like magnets can repel without touching, so do we ''feel'' things and our Mind interprets it as touching, but the basic signal to the Mind is actually just that the frequency of that certain thing is close enough to ours to provide illusion of solidity.

So basically, Space/matter are perceived when frequencies are close to each other. Time is our perception (made by subconscious calculations) of vibrating energies and their interaction with eachother.

Space/matter is perception illusion made by judging how close vibration of smth is to us. Time is our perception OF that perception with added element of calculating energy required to cause change.

The conclusive answer can be reached with the following explanation:

Space: lenght, height, depth
Time: energy

Therefore, spacetime is constituted of elements space and time.

Spacetime doesn't really exist. It's all just an illusion of the mind. Because of the limits of our minds, we're just perceiving a tiny piece of something and thinking that what we perceive is the whole thing. In reality the universe is all spaces and all times existing simultaneously. It's like watching an old 32mm film reel. We project one frame at a time so it makes sense to our limited ability to perceive. But take out the whole reel from the projector and look at it and we can't see the whole movie at once, just a reel of film. To understand the universe as it exists in itself rather than by our minds we need to assume the perspective of eternity. Which means we have to throw out our concept of spacetime altogether. Spacetime is relative but existence is absolute.

So when we die or do certain drugs we expand this knowledge?

Die you pop-sci idiots

Do unknown things in science not interest you? There's only a point to discussing what's known? It's only natural to question what you don't know and look for possible answers. It doesn't matter if 99.9999% of this board won't have a clue on how to even approach this topic, but it's still nice to collectively wonder about shit we don't know much about.

Jesus Christ. Its like you read just enough popsci.

Energy /is/ the conserved Noetherian charge associated with isotropy of time, just as momentum is for position.
Defining time from energy is just weird

It's not unknown; you just don't know, because you're too lazy to pick up a book.

Wanna go ahead and answer then? You clearly know

Read the first chapter of Arnold Mathematical Methods of Classical Mechanics, best explantion I've seen.

Spacetime is a 4 dimensional affine space with a bunch of restrictions on it.

Yes but what is it made out of?

Patterns of vibrating energy and radiation uniform from Quantum particles spinning in random directions interacting with other particles moving in a dimension we cannot see but can represent in a model

If you were two dimensional, three dimensional objects passing your plane would look like lights in the sky. While you could not surmise WHAT the object is, you can tell WHERE the object is moving relative to you and your dimensions. We have calculated this and have a model. Proven to some degree by the Space-Time gravity waves detected. This proved the Fabric of Space-Time at least exists

It's like asking what numbers are made of. It's not matter and isn't really made of anything.
It's a mathematical construct made up of rules.

>What is spacetime made out of?
Such questions usually expect the existence of a constituent, a component, of space and time. When no such exists you will observe a helpless meandering between different classes of descriptors or models when trying to give an answer. What are abstractions made of? Thoughts; what else. Neither space nor time have physical (causal) existence. The foundational reality is the field.

Consciousness does not imply a conscience, in my opinion.

Spacetime behaves relationally but exists absolutely. How else are we to account for gravitational lensing and waves?

But a conscience can imply consciousness.
